That table decoration is lovely. Great use of that cake frosting piece as the top of the candle.

By in Germany,

I feel like I've seen this barn before. Have they done this concept before? is it a re-release?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I really like that the table decoration doesn't have a ton of white to get discolored if it's sitting on a table in the sunlight.

By in United States,

Box says 433 pieces but article says 205 for Christmas candle.

Do we know Which is it?
Either way it’s a pretty darn good price

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'll grab that Halloween Barn definitely...

Gravatar
By in United States,

The candle has some great NPU with the cake frosting piece! And it's nice to see the Dreamzzz nightmare eyes used for more things!

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

It's only August!

I like the look of 40743. If I get it i'll make it the centrepiece of my Christmas decorations.

It looks like the same price and piece count was used for each. Reportedly, the candle will retail for $39.99 in the US

@Huw the prices / part counts for these are all the same. ..not sure how that happened!

Damn it. I knew something was up. That price seemed to good to be true.

That candle is awesome

Gravatar
By in Austria,

Candle is very nice. Given how they have a nice fall botanicals table piece, this is a good Christmas one, and then just use 40588 for spring into summer.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'll have to add 40744 to my Lego Christmas ornament collection. I was very pleased to see 40642 on sale the last time I placed a Lego order.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The Halloween set is pretty awful, the candle is very nice.

By in New Zealand,

Stick of dynamite! Awesome!

Didja hafta say that? Now they'll cancel it!

;)

Gravatar
By in United States,

I think the candle looks too fake. The greenery is good, but the candle, no.

Disappointed that the decorations aren't similar to last year's.

The Halloween set could be better.

60278 called. It wants it's billboard / sign back.

By in Portugal,

Ah yes, the traditional X-MAS dynamite stick!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Getting big Hidden Side vibes from the barn!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I forget, what month(s) do we usually see the $100 Christmas set announced? My kids were asking. Not that we will necessarily get it, we are behind by two sets. :D

Gravatar
By in United States,

Is there an optional scent pack for the candle?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I hadn't noticed the bow on the candle before; that's really well done.

That's very naughty, I'm telling Santa-Bot. What else could I say, you mentioned Xmas and I've been watching Futurama.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Well the ornaments look better to me than the blocky Ginger people from last year.
The Centerpiece is beautiful. Too bad it doesn't have a light brick for the candle flame.
I think the Halloween set is decent enough for a seasonal set at that price point. Much better than the blocky not quite Brickheadz builds from a few years back. I much prefer the vignette style.

Bath and Body Works'd go nuts.

Candle is neat, but not 39.99 USD neat

You might be thinking of an entire theme called Hidden Side. And angry eyebrows (plural) don’t really work on a cyclopian monster.

@Rabrickzel said:

Exactly. Because that means Santa-bot has started checking off his naughty list. And by checking off, I of course mean killing people. Except Zoidberg. He’s on the nice list.

What's worse,
using a real candle...
cleaning lego after using real candle...
replacing lego candle after it was lit up...

Usually around late August into September, some time.

By in United Kingdom,

I’ve got to cut down phone use, I read ‘Halloween Bam’.

Nice barn though if you buy two and fill in appropriately.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Are the 1x1 eye tiles on the barn the same as the Mimic GWP for the Dungeons and Dragons set?

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Love the barn. Its really spooky in a cute way

No. Mimic eyes are orange with a large yellow dot opposite a smaller white dot. Both of these eyes are from Dreamzzz. This eye isn’t a great option for Mimics unless you plan on making a black chest, because it has a rather prominent black eyelid and it’s printed on black.

By in Russian Federation,

The Halloween ones are always welcomed.

By in United States,

LEGO Halloween and spooky in general has been a let-down for a while now. No exclusive trick-or-treater minifig; looks to be made with limited parts from the bottom of the parts bin.

By in United States,

I am surprised that the year is so far gone that Christmas is closer than it should be...where does time go?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Did they always name drop Christmas? I thought they used “holiday” sometimes. Idk, surprises me a bit with how politicized using the term “Christmas” has gotten.

And where are the Wednesday sets, which are supposed to come in October? We haven’t even seen leaks, no less reveals!

I always thought the figures from the Mighty Micros line would make great trick-or-treaters for a Halloween MOC.

I like that idea!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I love the Christmas candle - it looks extremely realistic.

The Halloween barn is a giant disappointment to me. No new Halloween minifig? At least it's a fair price for those who want it. I wish LEGO continued the Universal Monsters series they started with 40422 - it was perfect and there are plenty left to do. :-(

These days, using the term “holidays” isn’t exactly non-politicized.
