Borgin and Burkes - the place to shop if you're after a Vanishing Cabinet.

No death eater mask:(
Well I'm not the target audience since I only need 76440

Gravatar
By in United States,

FYI: That's Lucius Malfoy not Draco.

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

I thought it said "loo network" for a second lol.

Gravatar
By in Austria,

wow, Draco Malfoy sure grew up quickly

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

Certainly quite an interesting build. But I wish they would stop using that generic face for Lucius!

By in United States,

The Back To Hogwarts link mentions additional GWP items besides 40695. Very cool!

Where are? Can't see any mention on the link (uk site)

@Huw that's Lucius Malfoy, not Draco.

Gravatar
By in United States,

can someone explain this set to me in Lego star wars terms?

Gravatar
By in United States,

It's right there on the Lego page. The Floo Network will be available from 9/1 to 9/10 with $130 threshold purchases.

(Groans internally: okay, I need an Advent Calendar, the Owlery, and...)

By in United States,

First, that's Lucius Malfoy.

Second, it's so disappointing that this is only a few items inside Borgin and Burkes instead of the full shop. Please tell me this is a GWP, because if that's supposed to be a playset then that's just a crappy piece of work!

if you watch the movies or simply look him up, you would see that his face is extremely generic (no offense to the actor) just as that head is. I think it matches him nearly perfectly

Gravatar
By in United States,

Apparently there's also a free 30677 if you spend $40, and a 5009008 Weasley Clock available if you buy The Burrow.

It'd be the equivalent of a shuttle dock in an Imperial facility.

Gravatar
By in United States,

That's Lex Luthor in a wig.

My interest in this theme Floo out the window a long time ago, so pass.

It's the equivalent of a transporter pad in a Klingon starbase :)

Gravatar
By in United States,

Kind of odd that it includes Lucius. Since it has the Floo Network fireplace, a Harry figure would be more appropriate. Draco would work if it had the vanishing cabinet. Seems like it would have been a good time to come up with an update for HP297, Mr Borgin. Unless they're planning on a Borgin & Burke building set which this could slot into somehow. Looks like it's got holes on the side for connecting to something else, anyway.

By in United States,

Lots of focus on non hogwarts areas these days. I just want more for my castle.... maybe I am in the minority but two years in a row of diagon alley stuff doesn't so much for me....

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

It looks nice but, not my cup.of tea.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

This makes me a bit sad, actually. I was *really* hoping for a Zelda gwp. It's not often that they do several high end promos concurrently.

They don’t look like holes in the side. More like the end of technic pins which work the internal feature of this set sadly.

Specifically, a transporter pad that can only beam to and from other transporter pads.

Imagine two Force-sensitive fireplaces, which form part of a Force dyad, so are capable of transferring people and objects through the Force to the other fireplace.

Very helpful, I am sure...

The ones on the gray bricks, yes. But it looks like there's a black 3200026 on each side near the front. Maybe it's just to attach the shelves to either side of the fireplace, but maybe it's to attach to something else as well? No idea.

It's Dark Link in some kind of loot-filled dungeon.

I think the World Between Worlds from Rebels is a better analogy (albeit being a stupid concept for Star Wars imho).

It’s a GWP for the Burrow set

Any idea of what the purchase threshold is? I need to plan my purchases.

To start with, Emperor Sithlymort came back (Crimson Empire did it first, and better). He wanted the Elder Lightsaber (which can cut through all other lightsaber blades). He didn't particularly care about the Elder Holocron, or the elder cloak (not actually magical, just some old brown cloak that Darth Malfoy here has been schlepping around since killing Dumbledobi-Wan 1-2 movies ago. Desiring to terminate Lukey Skypotter, he had his apprentice sneak over to the Paramount lot and steal a replicator, which they then used to replicate a transporter, and that's what you see here. Except it's powered by Sith Powder (don't ask, you'll never be able to keep food down again).

@DaLegoNerd1:
Eh, there's his furious face when Dobby gets set free. And he's got a scaredy-face at least twice (when he has to hand over his wand, and when he grabs his family and Sir Robins the heck out of there).

@Maxbricks14:
@Reventon:
Wrong network. You're thinking of the way into the Ministry of Magic.

I'll do one better, if this was Lego Star Wars the set wouldn't exist and instead you would get a set of patches with your $500 UCS purchase.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Why isn't there a sand green minifig hand under that glass instead of the skull? Seems like a missed opportunity.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

B&B is not that old by magical standards. I thought they were in business longer.

At first I agreed but the next SW GWP(s?) will be better, it's mostly the UCS 1:18 scale spaceships that lack good GWPs.

Gravatar
By in United States,

That reused face is still horrible, LEGO. Now, you don't even get leg printing. Tan is still the better choice for the Malfoy's hair, LEGO.

Nice little build, but is an actual set going to release?

The Weasley Clock is the GWP for the new Burrow set.

Looks like it's $130 of HP stuff. Also, 30677 is free with $40 of HP stuff.

That's true, this one is still a GWP, but not necessarily for the Burrow.

Skull in a jar is my all time favorite assembly of parts. I've had one for years that has become such a character to me. I'm so happy to see him doing his best there. If I could say it it would be one of my favorite minifigures ever.

So I take it that you loved his starring role in the first two Alpha Team lines.

They look flat silver to me, judging by the goblets and spike being the same color.

By in Singapore,

Just saw a youtube review, indeed it's the more common flat silver version.
