This set is sure to be a major hit! POW! WHAP! BOP!

As someone who has zero interest in the IP or superhero franchises in general... Man, that looks sick!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Absolutely magnificent. The only proper Batmobile!!

The Monkeemobile next please, to complete the best cars of my childhood TV viewing!

By in Netherlands,

I hope there's a swappable flame for the thruster

The Batmobile breaks down on the side the road. Robin looks under the hood and says to Batman, “I think it’s the battery.”

“What’s a tery?” Says Batman.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Batteries for power, turbines for speed!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

The build looks good, but bummed that there's only one minifig. Would have been a great opportunity for a Batgirl.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Still no 66 Robin.
Thought saving him for a larger set like this is exactly the sort of thing they would do after leaving him out the smaller one.

Gravatar
By in Turkey,

I loved it, looks great. It's just these larger sets take a lot of space and not very pocket friendly. I'll settle with the minifigure scale sets.

Another 18+ Batman car
Yawn
Skip

By in United States,

This is very cool MI like Batman, but not enough to buy Batman Legos. I appreciate a good batmobile, but this one is my least favorite... It's a classic but was out of date before I was born, doesn't trigger any nostalgia.

But it's a great example of how cool Lego dobe really, really well can be... This thing looks absolutely amazing, and delivering on that concept in Lego is a hell of a feat of design.

Wasn't there a 66 Robin in the Batcave 76052

Oh, he won't be introduced until Batman Beyond.

Yes, but that had retired before his absence in 76188

How many times did the Batmobile catch a flat?

And the Munster Koach

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I'm sure people who know tyre dimensions can answer this so I'm just going to ask...is this the same scale as the Camaro and Mustang?

Gravatar
By in France,

Only one figure is a big disappointment. Would've been a great opportunity for not only Robin but a new version of one of the classic villains, maybe Eartha Kitt's Catwoman or something.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

‘Where does he get those wonderful toys?’
The kind of build I like seeing on display at the LEGO store but because my collection is minifigure scale, I don’t see myself getting. There are also the nontrivial matters of the cost, the assembly time and the required display space, all of which are in short supply in my case. Lovely set, just not for me.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Holy [insert noun here]! If I had more display space... I'll just have to content myself with 76188. And 30653, I guess. Speaking of which, why *did* they copy that set to display the figure? Just doesn't seem to fit Adam West's version. Granted, it's been decades since I saw the show, but still...

Gravatar
By in United States,

The trim around the windscreens is brutal. If trying to depict a thin chrome frame, I'd have thought omitting it completely would be closer to the source vehicle than giant, thick grey trim.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Batman’s “stand” is the same one from 30653 polybag… ?? seriously? It’s too “dark knight” for this Batman

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Pretty awesome!

Gravatar
By in United States,

At 150 USD, its not a bad price at all as its rather a large model.

Not *exactly* the same. It's about a brick shorter, uses more light gray, and has some construction differences. But yeah, it doesn't fit. If you showed me that and asked me, "Which Batman, other than the one from 30653 , should perch on this?" I definitely would not answer, "Adam West."

Gravatar
By in United States,

The mudguards should have used the same technique used in the front to get smoother curves. Can't unsee how square they look. Also why those backpacks around the turbine? All in all looks good, but could be improved.

They are parachutes for the emergency bat-turn, which was only used a handful of times in the show.

extremely tempting!

I'd be bummed if they had given us three exclusive figures. ;-)
Because the Batmobile looks great, but I don't want to buy it.

If it was two figures it should be Robin.
Actually, Robin should have been included in 76188

Oh, and instead of the gargoyle I think Batman should have gotten a small desk with the Shakespeare bust and the red telephone.

Still hoping for an affordable Batgirl with her laced covered motorcycle.
Actually, a set also including the Batboat would be even better.

While it's encouraging to see Lego still producing sets for the classic TV series, those two still seem like a long shot.

Gravatar
By in United States,

LEGO hates Robin. Absent in the last minifig scale version and absent here.

Ok... how about Herbie / the Love Bug? Or the cars from 'The Great Race'? or the Banana Splits' buggies?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Having looked up 'Get Smart' earlier today (randomly was remembering my dad putting on shows he'd watched growing up - along with Batman), I would love a Sunbeam Tiger either this size or in Speed Champions with Maxwell Smart aka Agent 86 and Agent 99.

I have the smaller Batmobile, but I will probably still get this at some point because it does look good and I quite enjoy these larger scale car builds. (just finished 10300).

Yeah the minifig stand is a weird choice. But 129.99 for 1800 pieces is a good deal

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

At least it's not just any ordinary Batmobile.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I like this set and instant purchase. But as someone who has the 66 Batcave, I want to tell Lego that it is okay to make some of those mini figures obsolete. You won’t hurt my feelings if you do more than Batman or Joker on some of these sets! We had a good run. You won’t hurt the feelings of those set owners to make a few new versions of the minis!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Maybe, just maybe, Robin will be part of a gift with purchase like 30603 Mr. Freeze was when the 76052 Batcave came out. Robin could be locked to a purchase of just this or other DC sets. Mr. Freeze was free with any $75+ purchase at the start of April 2016.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I just wished Lego did a proper classic Batman minifigure, the one featured in the Lego Batman 3 game had a much better mask.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Sigh….
Lego just, just…. Just take my money…
:)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Very good price point for such a set and I'll be grabbing one for sure. Definitely needs some mods those wheel arches look really off!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Yep, going to buy this one, if not on day 1 certainly early on.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Holy display model that looks pretty decent, but I won’t get because LEGO can’t release more minifigure based DC sets to save their life Batman!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

That does look good, a real labour of love from the designer.

Gravatar
By in Singapore,

It doesn't look like the wheels turn. Shame.

Gravatar
By in Japan,

I got the playscale version of this and I am quite happy with that one, as it came both with West's Batman and Romero's Joker. But this is quite nice as well. It is not for me though.

I'm assuming you mean turn as in steer, not turn as in rotate on their axles. And yeah, it seems like one or more of the pictures would depict that if the model had that capability.

Not sure the Races are beloved enough to get their own theme. Then again, there was that reboot from a few years ago…

Came here to point this out too! What a strange bit of cost-cutting to not design a bespoke stand...

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I hope this is in scale with the other UCS Batmobiles.. Looks a bit smaller..

Gravatar

cannot lie…that looks pretty sharp

Gravatar

A proper George Barris Set!

What do you mean? We got Burt Ward in 76052.

Gravatar
By in Italy,

i find incredible that this set is only 150 euros, for a licensed set
other cars in this scale and piece count would have costed 200-ish

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Sigh, still no dual molded legs for Batman even though the 2016 set had them.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The wheel arches are a little too squared off, but otherwise a nice rendition and a day one purchase. Will look great on the shelf next to my 76139 and 76240. But to add to the chorus: Where's Robin?

Gravatar
By in France,

It really, really looks cool. Well designed and all. I like it a lot.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

I think we should have a separate forum thread for how much display room people have because it seems to be an issue that people think interests other people.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Superior vehicle. Inferior minifigure(s).
