Toys R Us Bricktober promotion underway
Posted by Huw,
The annual Toys R Us Bricktober promotion commenced in the toy store's Asian branches last week.
During the next four weeks you'll receive a different gift with purchase when you spend over a certain amount, $89 in the case of Singapore.
The four sets, called the Brick Bites series, each consist of a street vendor's stall on a base with an oversized version of the product being sold on the roof.
View pictures of them all after the break.
Thanks to aventurium for the news.

cool I guess
it won't tempt me to travel to Singapore tho
Will these be avaliable in the UK at any point? There's a small Toys r us inside of my local WhSmith and I am wondering if they will be running this promotion.
Rollercoaster tycoon vibes! Nice, although I will not be able to get them.
If there's one thing Lego loves, it's a giant food item on top of a vendor's stall/cart/monster truck

I immediately thought of roller coaster tycoon the second I glanced at these!
These, or a close approximation to them (probably without the base) and may be with a little more head room need to be normally available sets. A lot of buildings are quite expensive so pocket money town expanders would be great.
These are very cute. Hopefully they'll find their way to Insider Rewards, as the Bricktober Adventure Rides did last year.

I hope so too. These sets would look adorable together with the other fairground builds.

Yep, I was also wondering whether Insiders would get the chance to 'buy' these with points. Hope so!
That is one huge burger, almost half the size of the minifigure. Can’t probably sell many of those.
What happened with last year’s six hobby bricktober sets? They aren’t part of the database here or at Bricklink, last I checked. The adventure ones that were available last year thru vip rewards were from 2022. Maybe the hobby ones will show up this year, and these cuties next year if the trend holds.

I'm about to add them. The four that were available in Canada are in the database but they have different numbers to the Asian releases.
Those are adorable!
Odd that the cost for all 4 ($360) is higher than the cost of a single one ($89) x 4 (ie $356).
Usually you would expect there to be an incentive to get all 4 rather than a disincentive.

Inside that burger is an even tinier minifigure with an even smaller burger with an even tinier minifigure inide that - its burgers all the way down. Miniverse style.
These are very cute. The inclusion of a few utensils is confusing. I’m not quite sure what the whisk is for when serving ice cream, and I don’t relate a spoon with popcorn.
Would anyone be able to identify what specific kind of the 'ball parts' are used in the giant bubble tea cup? Are those just the standard ball-joint kind with an axle hole on a side in dark blue?
I must confess, I've never heard of Bubble Tea and, having read the ingredients, I don't think I'll be rushing to try it!

Very cute. Love that they use the classic minifigure face. I hope the instructions for these show up at some point.

Ingredients aside, they're actually pretty alright in terms of taste.

Hmm... cold tea and tapioca kind of puts me off!

Completely understandable, the tapioca is the best part to be honest.
Hope we get the instructions online, I'd love to build these myself, and perhaps make more in this style! Would love ramen or tonkotsu stands.

From what I've heard they won't be. Management Staff I'm friends with at my local WHSmiths who've also had one installed have told me that Toys R Us simply doesn't have the buying power in the UK anymore, so won't have the various exclusive toys they used to (Various LEGO sets if you don't buy direct are Smyths or Argos exclusive nowadays) and given they've only 40 stores in UK, that are all small, its not worth them doing anything like the old Bricktober.

Aye, that is a shame, thanks for the heads up!
Luckily, these Bricktober sets use the colors of the sets released in 2024, so all parts will be available in the LEGO online PAB section.
Only the 2x2 black tile with the "lego" logo print is exclusive to this set.
And I started making the instructions based on the videos and pictures :)
These are great as they are VERY easy to build!
Friends has BObba shop still available so you can get it and rebuild :D
Fellow Americans, if you will... a moment of silence for Toys R' Us
These are all adorable! Especially the bubble tea shop! I gotta track these down
Aww, maybe LEGO will do a GWP later on.

I’m also interested in that… are they just black ball joint pieces all carefully arranged for the render, or something special?
Why are all the nice small sets gwp:s? It’s getting annoying

Even worse, region locked gwps!
2022's sets had the best packaging ever. I remember I ordered on bricklink to be shipped from South Korea to me given how much I liked the boxes.

Canada TRU Bricktober 2023 had 4 of these 6...no Bowling or Car Racing.
Sadly these Asia TRU Bricktober 2024 sets are not available here either.
Perhaps it will be like the Asia TRU Bricktober 2021 sets...Indigo/Chapters (book retailer) released the Fairy Tale sets...over a, sadly, protracted 3-year period (March 2022, October 2002, April 2023, July 2024)
Toys R US still exists!

Is that why the cancelled the dynamite set?
@Bricklunch:
Buy one set priced $360+, and this gets you all four. In years past, you’d only get one and still need to qualify for the other three with additional purchases. _There’s_ your advantage. That was always the one thing I hated about Bricktober before they let you just buy stuff instead of having to earn it.
Very cute. I'm sure they would sell well if they were sold normally.
We have these in New Zealand through Toyworld. But the purchase price to get one is $150. They do have a two week window for them instead of just one week though, so that makes it easier to manage. But still, $600 for the full set is a bit much.
I struggled with the $100 threshold they had on previous bricktober promotions.

No, not really.
I always wondered why they chose to call the promotion "Bricktober" rather than the much better sounding (IMO) "Blocktoberfest"
They look really nice, I'm positively surprised! Might have to splurge on those, since they can be added so easily to city setups, unlike some of the other previous offerings.
Available now at Toyworld stores in New Zealand. Spend 150 NZD or more on LEGO products in-store only and receive the Bubble Tea Stall (1st - 14th October), Popcorn Stall (15th - 28th October), Ice Cream Stall (29th October - 11th November), and Burger Stall (12th - 25th November).
That's a minimum spend of 600 NZD over eight weeks; no thank you!
Anyone else wondering how the bubbles are floating suspended in the bubble tea drink?
Another year of wishing the Toys R Us in American Dream Mall (NJ, US) participated in Bricktober.
@huw I just got the bubble tea store at my local Toyworld after spending $150, so it's not just limited to toy R us.

Remember that Oktoberfest is most closely associated with drinking, which is something that TLG does not like to associate with. Also, the incredibly humble origins of Bricktober didn't involve fancy sets or minifigs. It was six parts, spread out over four weeks. Each week you'd get another 1x2 promotional Duplo brick, with the first day including a 2x8 plate for the base, and the last day including a 2x8 brick to cap the top. Assembled, the four bricks formed the image of a skeleton (evil, of course) holding a Bricktober pennant next to a giant LEGO logo, with a tiny TRU logo underneath. That was it. The skeleton pretty clearly ties it to Halloween, which isn't really tied to Oktoberfest. Now, as to why they chose Bricktober vs Blocktober, best guess is that the latter sounds too much like it involves a competing brand. TLG pretty universally refers to their most basic parts as bricks, not blocks.

CGI. It knows no physics.
Nope, not in Canada; this is what we've got:

Kinda' stinks...really miss the fig-packs, but these Singapore sets are close...although, that burger's kinda' redundant next to 60404 Burger Truck, but hey; could be a subsidiary/franchise.:)

Bubble tea has the following balls and this side wall.
32474 - Black; Technic Ball Joint
6259 - Trans-Dark Blue; Cylinder Half 2 x 4 x 4
