aj bellinger has once again come up with the goods and has sent us pictures of 7649, a limited edition Mars Mission set. I suspect it'll be exclusive to Toys R Us and LEGOshop.com.

This looks amazing! I don't really like Mars Mission that much even though I have 7691 ETX Alien Mothership. But by the looks of this set I am definately going to have more Mars Mission sets! I really like the blaster on the drill.

By in New Zealand,

Really I reckon that it's just another four legged weird vehicle just like Striking Venom in Exo-Force. Nothing special really.

By in Canada,

but the design is much better thogh it is very similar

By in Brazil,

This is another machine for drilling and mining. And the alien ship still very small in comparison with this, like in all the others mars mission sets with few exceptions. This won't come to my country because this is a special edition.

This set looks a lot like the exo-force set striking venom. Even though I don't collect exo-force, it still came to mind

By in New Zealand,

I once tried a cheap mars mission set but I didn't really like it. I'm not sure, the bigger vehicles may be better.

By in Canada,

funny thing is Luke Skytalker that was my favorate mars mission set because it was cheap and well designed also i changed it into a hover tank

By in New Zealand,

Well I used mine for pieces for the ARC-170, so I suppose it was usefull. I kept striking venom as well, and as I got it as a discount it was one of my best purchases.

By in Canada,

i wish i had the strikeing venom it looked pretty good

By in United States,

the set has a new piece: the cockpit cover
-the set will probably come out at the same time as the others: August
maybe there will be another medium-sized set added to the new arrivals, something like the trike or mobile lab, they don't seem to have any of these smaller sets, the least expensive one right now is the tank with the spinning saws at the front ($30 U.S.)
-if you have any questions about the available mars sets, e-mail me or post a comment

I like this set the most out of all the 2008 Mars sets, and as a Mars fan this isn't faint praise.

It looks like what the Striking Venom SHOULD have been. SV was a horrible set- good idea ruined by poor execution. But then, I'm not an Exo-Force fan.

I really like this set- it fits the human Space theme perfectly. Also, the build looks very sophisticated. 2008 looks like it'll be a fantastic year for LEGO space fans!

By in Canada,

it looks pretty good for a mars mission whats the price you think, how many peices ,

Gravatar
By in Canada,

more than that

By in United States,

the big mars mission six-wheeler was approx. 630 pieces, the temple of the crystal skull was approx. 930 pieces, both however cost $80.00 U.S. this set is about 800 pieces, It could be as high as $80.00 or as low as say... $60.00. It is a "special edition" (whatever that means) so it will probably be on the upper half of the price scale.

hm its a sad day in cheap town

Gravatar
By in United States,

-not if you wait a month and buy it off ebay on the cheap, sometimes people somehow get a set and don't want it but want $$$,

Gravatar
By in United States,

that set looks cool but a little too big

Gravatar
By in Singapore,

This set is to be released as a special price set (general release) in Singapore in August this year. It is expected to retail around SGD99.90. I would say roughly 45 Euros?

Gravatar
By in Canada,

what do you guys think of the new marsions i think their good because of actual arms

Gravatar
By in United States,

they're cool looking, but they seem a bit big, almost like jack stone, toonish, unconventional for a lego minifig, but we'll see

Gravatar
By in Canada,

i think it looks alright id perfer it without the useless alein veicle

By in Israel,

Carl Sagan, I believe that the Crystal Reaper is 50 US dollars.

And I also believe that the sets will be available as early as June, for last year we saw the same pattern, and judging by the fact that most summer sets have already been released in Europe.

By in Canada,
