And remember, it does come in black.

By in Hungary,

Love the detailing, and the Joker fig is excellent IMO. I think LEGO really nailed this one.
However, it's always sad to see these exchange rates for me. When changing it to my currency, there's 1.5x deviation between dollar and pound. Wish LEGO would reconsider their pricing and quit this 1$ = 1£ thing. :(

By in United Kingdom,

UK price includes 20% VAT, the US price does not include sales tax.

Gravatar
By in United States,

$199.99........ Yeah, I think I'm just gonna secondhand The Joker off Brick link...

Gravatar
By in United States,

I wish it also had the detachable Batcycle function. Otherwise, its absolutely awesome. I need that Joker figure!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Love this! But I hate the Joker. Unless he is an extremely close re-make from the movie, I'm not keen on him at all. The head and hair is wrong compared to other sets... :-(

Gravatar
By in United States,

the set's very cool looking, but it's not minifig scale, so I don't feel like it's totally worth 200 dollars.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

£160 - not as bad as I expected. I'm in!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

£300 for 4 of the front wheels........hmmmm, thats a lot to spend.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Not a fan of the Tumbler at all, but this is quite an impressive set! The minifigures look fantastic!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

It looks a lot more like the vehicle it's based on than the Mini Cooper. I'm in.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I thought the Nolan Trilogy was...erm, okay(ish). But, the Tumbler was one of the redeeming factors and this set looks impressive in terms of size and likeness. The designer in the video is certainly excited about it!!

I'll be getting one, but I'm thinking of keeping it boxed until my son is old enough to build it - he's a much bigger Batman fan than I am!

By in Venezuela,

Amazing design!!! I love the Heath Ledger's Joker minifig

Gravatar
By in United States,

I love it all! The minifigs, the vehicle, EVERYTHING. Oh yeah, except for the price. Even $160 would have been a bit better. Maybe even $174. But $200, that's a bit pricy. Either way, it's still mine.

Gravatar
By in United States,

But does it come in very, very dark grey?

Love that Joker the most!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

HL Joker is the best.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

thought the uk price would good for a $200 set and it is, but not as good as Town Hall or 4X4 Crawler

was dreaming of £150 but not far off

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wow, the Joker looks real similar to Heath Ledger, but I don't see any 1x1 round, flat, white tiles.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Love It!!! This is my most favorite version of the batmobile, sorry Tim Burton/Anton Furst, 2nd place is not so bad!!! I am truly looking forward to building and displaying this. I'll have to hurry & complete it because my favorite bounty hunter's father/son ride is just around the corner.....

By in United States,

@jockosjungle Just FYI, sales tax in the USA is set by states and sometimes even counties and cities. In my area it is 9%, but in Oregon, for example, it is zero. I hope to live in Oregon someday!

Gravatar
By in United States,

It looks really cool! Too bad there are no Technic functions. Glad to save $200, though.

Gravatar
By in United States,

What do they mean, new front wheels?

Gravatar
By in United States,

All we need now is a UCS Batwing from the michael keaton movie.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Mr. PicnicBasket: I don't think the wheels are actually new, but the tires are.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Nice set, 'comes in black' made me laugh.

@lippidp Oregon is a great place to live and if so you get to pay a 9% income state tax. All comes out in the wash.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I have long awaited the Heath Ledger Joker minifigure. At long last.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Vanleavy: I'm waiting for the UCS Slave I also. It's my favorite ship from Star Wars, not counting the Death Star. Also, I kind of want to see how they'll do the box art for this thing. Will it be jumping over rooftops, crushing cop cars, sitting in the Batcave, or will it be driving through a tunnel chasing the joker's 'slaughter' truck?

Gravatar
By in United States,

The joker is in there to get minifigure hunters to have to buy the set. Same with the SDD and other sets.
My guess is you are likely see many 2nd hand Tumblers up for sale missing the Joker figure

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@lippidp Yes I realise that, but the UK price includes our sales tax, so the Lego pricing difference includes our VAT which would make the Tumber £133. It's also difficult with fluctuations in exchange rates, you can;t keep altering the RRP on a daily basis.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Mr Picnic basket, the front tires are a new part. (Or rather this set is the first they have been used in.)

Gravatar
By in {Unknown country},

At last a Dark Night Joker! I wish Lego adds a knife or a machine gun for him.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm in for one. Now a dilemma arises, do I open and build my sealed 7784 UCS Batmobile to go along side it?

Gravatar
By in Poland,

Lol it's more expensive than ucs r2-d2, yet it has got less elements. Definitely not a good bargain, although it's a great set, I'd love to have one on my shelf. Ps. Including all the taxes, it's going to cost about 300$ here in Poland. The bargain is getting worse every minute.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

£160 for a minifig I really want and a ton of black OR get most of the Agents line instead. I wish that fig were available in a more realistic priced set..... It'll still be very expensive on BL. Curses!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

In the Netherlands it will be 220 euros :(. I guess Amazon.de will be busy shipping them to us.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I used to think getting loads of small sets equal to the value of the larger UCS sets was better, until I sold most of my collection and bought the original UCS Batmobile, B-wing & Red Five X-wing.

The larger sets are so much more fulfilling as builds and to look at afterwards, plus you get so many more parts for your money. In the UK you're lucky to get 10p per piece on a licensed set, so £160 for ~1900 pieces sounds good to me.

Also consider the extra effort gone in to designing these larger sets, new exclusive tires and minifigs, it's not as bad as it seems!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Oh my god LEGO...I LOVE YOU!!! Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU!!!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Wonder if a UCS for some Adam West television reference will happen? As long as its not a UCS Bat phone. Got enough red. Unless its all translucent orange or red.

Gravatar
By in Japan,

I'm in!! Awesome!!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Oh my gosh I had heard rumors of this set but to find out it comes with figures from the dark knight trilogy just puts the cherry on the top this is incredible!!!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I never thought they'd do a Ledger Joker but so pleased it's finally happened. Might have to ebay or bricklink it sometime. Not enough $ for the whole thing.

Gravatar
By in United States,

You know what's complete crap.. The flickr lego community have built countless tumblers including myself over the years. We all drew inspiration from one another but one guy stood out. He sent in his amazing piece to lego ideas and got more than enough votes to qualify. His build was almost identical to this one of lego but lego never took him farther in the process. My thoughts are lego saw all the interest with the tumbler, all the great submissions and instead of giving credit they ripped off the piece. Nice R&D

Gravatar
By in United States,

Sold.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Hey, if it had a ejecting batcycle function, I'd be sold on it. I'll have to think about this one.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Gotta have Heath Ledger, no questions about that and RIP sweet prince von Lichtenstein from Gelderland, but the rest is just a giant dust magnet and will go straight into storage before you can say "why so serious?"

Gravatar
By in United States,

Am I false or this thing really doesn't have steering function? As for such a big model from true lego designer, I'd expect it to have at least this :/
