The set features 16 minifigures, including GOTHAM CITY’S most iconic Super Heroes and Super-Villains, each with a transparent stand for dynamic, customisable displays throughout the Arkham Asylum setting. The minifigures include Batman, Batwoman, Batwing, Robin, Mr. Freeze, The Riddler, Poison Ivy, Catwoman, Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, Bane, The Joker, The Penguin, Killer Croc and 2 security guards.

2016 Killer Croc bigfig in an orange jumpsuit would have gone so hard.
I wish I could buy this but it’s too expensive
No Batgirl?
Daily Planet Modular building next year???
Am I the only one that dislikes inverted corners? They make it really hard to fit in a city layout.
That said, I’m definitely buying this! :)
Another $300 set. Yawn.
It's definitely an improvement over the prototype.
Is it worth 300€ to me, though? Nope. So definitely only getting it with a discount.
Same stuff …. Over and over and over and over…..
Looks pretty good, I like the inverted corner style!

Has LEGO released an inverted modular at all? I will say I like the concept of it for shelf display but for anyone putting this in a city layout, it's got some options to get funky street layouts, which is cool
So. Many. Stickers.
Nice set, but I just want to bricklink the panel van.
Modular compatible large buildings from other themes are some of Lego's coolest sets, and this definitely continues that trend. Very nice for those that it may interest!
Meh and another $300 set.
"... assembled gradually as an Advent calendar"?
there’s like no detail on the building. the minifigs and the front sign really distract from that fact
Lego can still make peak DC sets? Incredible!!
I like that it’s a corner build but also an inverted corner. Very versatile!!
I feel like having to make both this and Xavier's Mansion (76294) into modular builds rather than unique standalone structures really neutered their silhouette and overall appeal. Heck, 31167 is a more imposing and Gothic/spooky build than this.
Plus you are making a flagship set with 16 unique characters but have 6 of them wearing the same outfit? Plus two identical guards?
I'm not mad, just disappointed.
They just HAD to tease us with that Clayface sticker, huh?
Also are those AARAKOCRA WING RECOLORS?!!!
This is glorious. Arkham Asylum is such a sprawling property that this alteration on the theme can work as an expansion for the previous versions, or a stand alone model. I'm thrilled with what I see.
Day 1!
There really isn't much meat on the build; the cell block hallway is very narrow.
That said, I like the set. The inverted corner is new

""... assembled gradually as an Advent calendar"?"
76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion was divided into 24 bags, coincidentally if I recall correctly, so the designers talked about it serving as a sort of LEGO X-Men Advent Calendar in interviews. They must have decided to continue the trend with Arkham Asylum!
Killer croc and Bane should be bigfigs. Not really a modular size, we're missing the sidewalks to fit. And don't like the orange suits.
Finally, this is perf… WHAT DO YOU MEAN 65 STICKERS!!!!
I would have preferred something based on the Arkham games (the manor, Intensive Treatment, Batcave and Croc’s Lair could probably fit into one, albeit very large set), but this is still pretty neat.
Also, you’ve almost got the entire cast from the first game except for Mr Szaaz (who LEGO will probably never release anyway), Quincy Sharp, Dr Young, and Aaron Cash. Missed opportunity for another Cash figure, but the line up of villains is decent enough.

At least it has Poison Ivy, if you need a redhead fix. (Which I do, on a regular basis.)
@Maxbricks14 said:"Lego can still make peak DC sets? Incredible!!"
Only if they include Batman. Don't be expecting, say, a Fortress of Solitude anytime soon.
Alright, let's give it up as this at least has a closed back for most of the time.
I feel like the Arkham Asylum is the Super Hero location Lego does the best. So many good versions and add this one to the list. Only 11 unique minifigs though (heads don't count).

The last Arkham set was 8 years ago :)
As a huge batman fan I am pretty disappointed with this. The jumpsuit characters are lazy. No side or arm printing, no dual molded legs. Really the only value is the Jim Lee Poison Ivy and the Batwing figures.

I'd like a modular daliy planet next year.
The set itself looks great at this scale, but I just can't stand that Tim Burton -esque batsuit in a supposed comic set.

Just go talk to them. They will open up with a little kindness and attention. ;)
I mean, it fine. Not exactly excited to see it. But it’s refreshing to see a big DC set for a change.

Agree not everything needs to be a modular. The X mansion, Arkham etc are not butted up against other buildings

Maybe they could even do the ball similarly to the one in 21357 (which I just finished building).

So when TLBM came out, and they did that expansive array of villains, I got enough of the Arkham jumpsuits to put _every_single_Arkham_villain_ in an orange jumpsuit. I used the head from a Mighty Micros Bane to get around the issue of him being a bigfig in the film (no venom, no 'roid muscles). The only two I didn't manage to put in orange were Clayface and Croc. I've still got an unopened Clayface or two, so that's just a matter of building one with orange parts for the jumpsuit. Croc...I would have to buy another bigfig and paint the pants orange. There's just no other way around it.
@WolfpackBricksStudios:
And it looks like it's based on the video game version, which is just more irritating.
@CapnRex101:
Home Alone was billed as an advent calendar when it came out, but that actually made sense, given the subject matter.
@TheOtherMike:
It also has Batwoman. She may be a fake redhead, but so are most of the redheads in Hollywood. Jessica Chastain and Bryce Dallas Howard are the only two actresses I can think of who don't need dye.
@SpaghettiDish:
The logo hails from the Silver Age comics. 89 Batman had a very different logo on the suit, with a triple-pointed tail, while the film was marketed with a variation on the Silver Age logo. Returns matched the Batsuit to the marketing logo, but that logo has also seen use in The Dark Knight Returns (before Burton) and B:TAS (after Returns). And the black suit with the gold logo from the 2006 launch of the Batman theme, which looks similiar to the Burton costume, is actually from the Troika storyline in the comics (which did borrow the coloration from Burton's design).
There are what 97 stickers? Wow, this is insane…
Another Batman set...
Great for Batman fans, but all us Superman fans got was a mech as the first set in 7 years..
Lego please give us a Daily Planet!
I prefer the "2D" version from few years ago, which this is fuller, it also feels a bit "city-ed".
"...and 65 stickers referencing Batman lore."
Yeah, right. That's an additional 65 minutes to the total build time. Way to go, LEGO...
@PurpleDave
I know Kate Kane wears a wig as Batwoman, but I thought her hair was also really red, just shorter.
The 2006 black-suited Batman sort of matches the late-90's, post-Troika costume, but the newer ones (this one and 2012) have different belts, so I'm not sure what they're supposed to be based on.
I do really like this, but it's still not as spooky or atmospheric as 7785 from 2006. Part of me feels like that set will never be topped. More could've been done to make this feel more gothic & imposing. Some modification will definitely be in order. Also, the minifig selection does leave something to be desired. Teasing a Clayface minifig at this point just feels cruel. It's been almost 20 years without him. A Mad Hatter fig would've been nice, too.
Overall, this doesn't really blow my mind like it should. I don't feel like I can say "we are so back" for the DC theme, at least not yet anyway.
Another expensive set with a light blue air tank.

Agree... I'm missing the gothic vibe that the 2006 version had. Its design was heavily criticized for being too similar to that of the Harry Potter line of Hogwarts Castle sets. But I still enjoyed building it and even had it on display for several years.
What I do appreciate with this latest iteration is the fully enclosed layout of the buildings. They're all in one compound and is easier to move around. I wish it was taller though, with at least another level for the other specialized rooms. Overall, it looks great.
The TLG never gave the Animated series a fair shot (2 poor sets) this was a missed opportunity for that distinctive design so it’s another mixed design bag at an unaffordable price.
An otherwise wonderful set no doubt.

Phrases like this really hammer home that these things exist primarily to line the pockets of executives.
Is there no news of a GWP to go along with it like we had for the X-Mansion, Botanical Garden, Endurance, and the Shire?
It's the best dc set I've seen in 7 years! It's such a detailed set and costs 300 euros!
300€ for a 32x32 modular that's not even particularly tall...
Wish this set had hinges and opened up. Looks. a bit too fiddly trying to see inside, and would be nice if it could be displayed open to show off your Rogues Gallery locked up.
I'm fine thank you, having 70912 and still MISB because I haven't yet gotten around to building it.

Only 8 years? We’ce had 4 now since 2006. What about a legit Wayne Manor? What about a Daily Planet? What about the Hall of Justice? Anything different …..?
I don't know, it's a bit "meh". Uninspired minifigures, with the build rather restricted to the baseplate.

Glad we finally got an official reveal of this as I've been seeing leaks and rumours of it for ages now.
That said... not overly impressed. The outside detailing looks a little too flat. Theres far too many stickers both inside and out, and the interiors look far too cramped too. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't we had pretty much all of the minifigures in this set in other sets previously?

Now don't let facts get in the way of complaining. Though at least it made a change from price and stickers.
Everyone calling this an inverted corner is missing the fact that it's... Not. Unless you want the asylum's entrance facing into the BACK of another building, the connection points are on all sides but the one with a broken gate.
It can be a straight or a normal corner, but without modifications it won't be an inverted corner.
Why have Clayface on the computer screen but not an actual Clayface minifig? Penguine should be replaced with Clayface, since Penguine is a mob boss, he should be in prison not an asylum

Whatever it is, it's been done to cram quite a wide building into a 32x32 baseplate. Should've just allowed the set to be wider.
Once again huge set with cheaply made figs. Really dissapointing.
Where is Clayface? The otange suits should have been ADDITION for normal suits.
I hope this means we might get an inverted corner modular, though a proper one, rather than what they did to the back. I tried to make it because with my London tower bridge set but it still needs some adjustments.
It looks like they loved the concept too much just to make the adjustment when they realised the back didn't work as a corner. Probably would have been better if they'd made it like the x mansion.
Still it might work after some modifications.
And that hole has got to go. Maybe I can put a sticker over it...
I wonder how many of those stickers you actually need to use if you ignore the batman lore.
I need it!
Disappointing to yet again see so many stickers.
The Arkham Asylum lettering in the front gate all looks like stickers.
Really wish they’d gone all in and made this twice the size-comparable to the avengers tower,, with a who’s who minifig roster. I’d pay £400-£450 for that. Printed pieces please

...and?
I like this a lot, but I can't justify it since I own the previous two (10937 and 70912).
Not a set I'd be interested in, but for most part, I do like what I see.....
....except obviously for the stickers. It's kinda ironic that this is revealed the same day as the Game Boy, with a pretty insane number of unique prints considering the size of the set. But here, they even brag about the ridiculous number of stickers in the marketing blob. And the sticker on the van clearly shows how unashamed they even are about it. Earlier I called the Game Boy a premium product at a premium price, this rather looks like a bargain bin product at a premium price....

I’m mostly familiar with the character from the CW series, where she was a brunette who wore a primary red wig in costume (and then things got really weird when the lead actress quit, and rather than recast her character, they re-charactered the costume with a black woman who eventually decided she wanted to run with her natural* hair). When I looked this up last night, it turns out she is a redhead (orange) who wears a red (primary) wig. Still, given how frequently redheads are dyed, I wouldn’t definitively rule out the possibility that Kate Kane is one of them. She is supposed to be Jewish, after all, and red hair is not something I’d ever associated with that genotype.
*ironic because the character clearly had a salon-assisted hairstyle, _and_ black people in the US apparently have a long-standing tradition of dying their hair red (closer to LEGO dark-red than the range of colors you’d find in Ireland).
"The 2006 black-suited Batman sort of matches the late-90's, post-Troika costume, but the newer ones (this one and 2012) have different belts, so I'm not sure what they're supposed to be based on."
Some time back I found a neat graphic where someone had sketched every significant Batsuit from Detective Comics No27 to I think the mid-aughts. I’d long assumed the black and gold 2006 design was meant to represent Burton’s costume, until I compared it to that chart and it _exactly_ matched the design of the Troika costume. Same logo, same pen-tubes on the belt, same belt buckle, same color scheme. Everything except the fact that the LEGO version is shaped like a minifig.
Could they make part two with Two-Face, Clayface, Man-Bat, Killer Moth and Mad Hatter to fill out the roster of the first Lego Batman game? Maybe a police station or Wayne Manor.
Problem -> it is MODULAR
It is a playset which needs RAISED BASEPLATE...

I wasn't into LEGO at the time, BUT when I got back into LEGO and played the LEGO Batman video game on 360, those versions became my iconic look. But alas, I never got any of them. I had to start with the 2012 figures. But the music will always play in my head from that game. It brings back happy memories playing with my kiddo.
If you want to DESTROY your LEGO collection... YES! Put clue stickers all over your beautiful parts. Not good :/
@WolfpackBricksStudios:
The wings are from Cupid, and mount to a stud. The wings you’re thinking of have a neck bracket.
@ikke:
They did bigfigs of both for TLBM, and a separate bigfig of Croc that I’ve only ever had people identify as Marvel’s Abomination when I put it on a layout. I’ve got my Batman minifigs divided into TLBM and Everything Else, and when I’m using the latter, I’ve had better luck just repurposing a spare Leatherhead from TMNT (who I still need to give jeans to).
@TheOtherMike:
I thought you were suggesting the GWP Death Star for the Daily Planet, so I’m going to have to disagree with you in favor of the GWP Death Star. You need a clear equator to mount the Daily Planet ribbon to, and the Luxo ball has nothing of the sort. It is a more spherical shape, however.
@tranhoanghieu:
Common assumption is that all of Batman’s rogues get locked up in Arkham, but you’re correct that Penguin (not generally being considered “criminally insane”) is more frequently depicted as having a room reserved at Blackgate Penitentiary. B:TAS never split them up like that, though, and I’d say it’s a safe bet that more on-screen depiction of Arkham comes from that series than any other film or TV show.
I was considering building my own version of Arkham last fall since I never actually bit the bullet for any of the official versions. This looks really well done, but at $300 I don't have that in the budget, so it will be yet another version I can't swing.
I think the reddish brown and stone works. I like a lot of the little details. Some of the figures look cool.

Millionth Batmobile, I'm guessing. I'd love to be proven wrong, but they seem like like releasing batmobile set more than anything. Maaayyybe mechs...
Thrilled to see a modular Arkham Asylum! I do wish it looked more like 10937, which is one of the best LEGO Super Heroes sets ever. I just like the color scheme and vibe more than 70912 (although all three Arkhams are great builds). I prefer more unique, stylized cells over standard ones so I think the 2012 set will always be my favorite. But this is a great set design, it's awesome that it can fit into a city layout, and I really like the minifigure lineup even if I wish a few of those villains were wearing their standard outfits!
I can never resist a new batch of Batman's foes. I wish half weren't in Arkham gear and got to be "full" new designs, but I still get hit in the LEGO Batman nostalgia every time there's a new wave of villain designs together. Ivy looks great.
I hope we’ll see a review soon. I’d like to see all the easter eggs.
I think it looks good. However it does remind me of the x-mansion color wise. If they had made it darker (and more gothic) it would be a more unique modular and i would consider buying it and mod it to a marvel jail/asylum.
@Brickodillo said:
"I hope we’ll see a review soon. I’d like to see all the easter eggs."
You mean the sticker sheets? ;-)
I've collected every previous Arkham set so far, so I'm looking forward to this one. The fact of it being in the modular, enclosed format is reason enough to be happy...hopefully it's a sign they'll give Wayne Manor / Batcave a similar treatment in the future.
This looks to be really well-designed, incorporating elements all three previous larger models (7785; 10937; 70912) but still feeling cohesive -- and looking more like a complete, actual building than any of the others.
The only thing I don't like is the decision to make the guard tower part of the main structure rather than a standalone element (or perhaps on a 32x16 plate as a detachable extension), which would be more realistic. This would also allow the building wings to be symmetrical, and/or to include a garden/courtyard area with minimal added pieces.
So, plenty of room for MOC'd improvements, as usual...but less by far than any of the previous models.
The exterior stickers ruin the aesthetic a bit, but that just means this is one rare example wherein printed parts would've been a downside.
Figures are excellent. Personally, I like the more grounded/human-like takes on Bane and Croc generally, so making these minifigs rather than big figs is a plus in my view. I'd love it if their standard costumes were provided as alternatives to the jumpsuits (like in the Queer Eye set, hanging in an evidence locker or whatever)...but that's probably wishful thinking. Mostly glad they didn't skimp here on unique, well-designed and printed figs, and plenty of them.
Advent feature is a weird quirk, but who knows, maybe fun...
Got the last version which I'm very happy to own. Bought two copies to make into one larger enclosed model. Added the missing Rogues Gallery players. No need for this one with 65 stickers.

Back in 2018, bought 2 copies of it on sale from a local TRU at around US$110 each. Those were the days.
Great to have a Batwing figure but the lack of love for Stephanie Brown continues to sting. Hopefully we'll have a full bat-family eventually!

Little disappointed that this big set have so much jumpsuit minifigs and that van is ridiculous. It should be 8-wide.
Jumpsuit minifigs meaning that Lego will give us more sets with regular minifigs
The lack of sidewalk is going to make this a weird piece with the other modulars, but otherwise it looks great and I'm looking forward to it!

Lego will increase their prices by another 10-20% next year due to increased demand. You better hurry up as this is still cheap

I have resisted adding emoticons and signatures and all that clutter because all they do is degrade readability.
I don’t love it and I don’t hate it.

This new 76300 Arkham Asylum modular set looks excellent. I put it on my wishlist, but I don't know if I will actually buy it.
I have so much Lego, only so much room for displaying. Also taking other sets apart, sorting, and storing, and documenting what is what, in order to make room for new things takes a lot of time too.
Plus I enjoy tweaking, customizing and building my own stuff more than endlessly building just sets from the instructions, and this is probably not a set I would part out for other 'projects'.
Not sure if I will buy it, but I might.
Also €300 is a lot of money.
Anyway, I think TLG did a good job designing this set.

Japanese schoolgirls. It was Japanese schoolgirls. Seriously. In Japan, high school kids frequently have to commute to schools all over their prefecture, so in the early days of cellular technology they were often given pagers so their parents could keep in touch with them. Being Japanese pagers, you could actually input a range of simple kanji characters when sending someone a page. Girls quickly figured out that, instead of simply putting in phone numbers or whatever, they could combine certain characters to make pictures and messages that were more complex than the system was really intended to handle. So they’d go hit up pay phones to send the first text messages to each other.
Eventually someone in the industry found out about this, and decided it could be incorporated into the cellular phone system. The reason for the standard character limit is there’s a bit of leftover bandwidth on the carrier signal, so as long as they didn’t exceed that amount, transmission between the phone and tower is essentially free. So remember how wireless carriers used to charge an arm and a leg for texting? That was Scrooge McDuck money to them. And all because of Japanese schoolgirls.
@WizardOfOss:
I’ve learned to mostly work around that problem. Copy before hitting the Post button, and you can simply select/paste the original text over the stuff that pops up in the edit box. If all you did is @ someone, you can even copy the post as it appears on the page and do the same thing. It’s just the set tags and the quote function where you still have to go backfill all the relevant code to keep the same functionality.

Sure, especially with longer posts I do usually copy them before posting anyway as sometimes the post will just magically disappear. But still, it is annoying and shouldn't be that difficult to fix properly I'd think.
@WizardOfOss:
It’s been even worse lately. I’ve been running into an issue where, if I quote a post, I frequently have to copy, refresh the page, paste, post, and even then there’s a fair chance the post will vanish into the ether. That’s even when I haven’t left the page, and the timer is still counting down.
Yup, sometimes encountered the same a few times. Seems completely random.
I just wish they could make the white van and its white sticker on the side the same shade of white. People might not mind stickers as much if the sticker and the part it is stuck on were matching colours instead of sometimes being very noticeably different.
