that Tetris sticker is really cool
but I will say, these do not look like sets with 800+ and 1000+ pieces
seem very over priced for what they look like
annnnd edit: forgot to say, that car looks really good! the grill and hood ornament are neat
I have but one thing to say:
I NEED that cottage and car, as it fits my town's 1920s / 30s era perfectly.
That is all.
I’m hoping that part 32607 comes to PaB! It’s a great recolor that I’m surprised we haven’t gotten yet.
I don’t know hardly much about Wednesday, and won’t be getting any of it, but these look pretty nice. I do hope for real Minifigures in the future, though. The Modified Plate is very exciting too!
I wish the UNLICENSED Haunted Mansion was priced as well as that "Cottage". What the hell are you doing, LEGO?
PPP value isn't awful, but gut instinct using-my-eyes value looks horrendous.
Norfolk Southern fans rejoice?
Haven't watched the show but the nail polish bottle and alternate painted nails for Thing got a laugh out of me!
I'm always caught off guard when Lego starts producing a part in a color that was "out of print" for so long... in this case, the car's windscreen hasn't been seen in black since 1994.
Plenty of pictures are now showing on the set pages.
Boy, it is sure expensive to be a fan of Jenna Ortega. The figure of her looks just like the one from 76781 though, although the box art now consists of her Season 2 look. Nice sets.
Fairly sure it is Thursday
A second spooky mansion has hit my wallet
Don’t really care about the sets themselves, but I’m excited about the new modified plate used for the giant Thing’s fingers!
Well, this is the closest to the Addams Family house that we're getting.
I must have these sets! BTW, there is a misspelling on a character’s name. It’s “Bianca” not Biana.
I like both of these sets on first look, but I'm struggling hard to see the value. That's a very cool cottage, and awesome car. But how is that 1000pcs? Is it full of 1x1s? Again, looks like a great set, but I don't see where there are 1002 pieces there to justify a $110 price tag.
The way they've made Lurch taller is quite clever, though I'm not sure if he's nearly gaunt enough!
The house is quite nice as is the car. If they did an Addams Family minifigure based set, I might be interested. But I think this one is aimed firmly at Netflix kids.
I'm surprising myself here - I really like that cottage. Stained glass windows? Nice! Groovy car - yes please. Lots I could do with this set (at the first sign of % off).
Is this theme selling well? It seems like the last sets were on sale AT LEGO ITSELF for quite a while.
Minifigs bad. Minidolls even worse.... and I preferred the Munsters anyway! (Although the house and the car are pretty good)
They've caught the likenesses well, definitely works for Catherine Zeta Jones and Jenna Ortega.

LEGO is behind the times quite often.
Nice to see they keep up the tradition.
If I had a Bricklink store, I'd be sorely tempted to get 76785 and sell all the non-Thing pieces.

I didn't even notice the Tetris sticker! If I did what I said earlier, I'd keep the pieces for the phone and apply that sticker, too. And yeah, the car is cool. As for its hood ornament, I bought eight of that piece when I saw it on PaB. Don't know what I'll do with them (as I haven't actually really MOCed in years), but I love getting animals and creature there.

Another thing I didn't notice! That does look useful.

Ha! Definitely some 'new snowspeeder canopy' celebrating over in the Train camp. After doing a quick check, it's surprising that this windscreen has rarely appeared in black. Good for the rail folk.

It was last seen in black in 1994, with the glass being glued in place. But yes, this version is new!

Yeah, I might need that new hood ornament. My brain is racing for how much micro scale haunted mansions I can do. As for the grill it looks like the technic piston holder. If so that’s a really nice parts usage.
I…kinda want to turn Thing’s Apartment into a Mimic.
Huh. Well, it's no classic Addams Family mansion, but it's... pretty good?

Luggage. THE Mimic.

When I make a car that size, it usually runs around 200pcs. If it’s more complex, like my Good Humor ice cream truck, it can run around 300pcs. Mater from Pixar’s Cars franchise hit 378pcs, and isn’t significantly bigger than this car. I doubt the car accounts for more than 150pcs, but if you look at the house more closely, you can see part-intensive details, like the decorative shaping of the eaves. Just one build of Thing is over 30pcs, plus there’s an alternate set of fingernails. Stuff adds up.
These look like draft-quality renders. Look at all the weird fireflies and noise. You think they'd spend a bit more time rendering the main key-art for that's going to end up on the box? Though I'm sure nobody really cares. And I'm really pixel-peeping.
Looks like someone put a lot of time into color correcting that first shot of Thing's Apartment. The purple of Enid's torso doesn't match her dress, but it does in all the other images. The shadows under the purple macaroni tiles and round plates near her look really funky.
It does look like they've finally fixed their trans-clear material shader to match that icky purplish hue inside of MABS, which is nice. Some truth in advertising. Though any part made of MABs should probably have a lot more scratches ;)

Golden opportunity missed. It's only 14.4% chance in the week though, hitting the Wednesday exactly. Oh well. Better luck next time, TLG!
Forget Disney tax we have to talk about the Netflix tax. What are those prices...
Love the cottage
And we get Catherine Zeta Jones as a Minidoll brilliant

The hood ornament is https://brickset.com/parts/6492553/creature-no-220 which has already shown up in some Wednesday sets. It's also available on PaB if you really want to stock up. As for the grille, I'm pretty sure that's just stacked 2x2 radar dishes.
Huh... I was under the impression there weren't going to be any more Wednesday sets since all chain and independant stores local to me all seem to be discontinuing selling the series. Smyths have stopped listing them and aren't selling the Black Dahlia set, as has Toyland.
Not sure about the build of Thing, but the chest is begging to be turned into a The Luggage.

Eh, it’s nothing new, Stranger Things showed us that.
The cottage is amazing! Thing's apartment is good too. This year's sets are certainly an improvement on last year's Wednesday sets.

Surely a Minifig version would also be aimed at Netflix kids

If only there was a way to predict which day of the week would be a Wednesday. If only…

The Addams Family would likely have a nostalgia factor.
Close enough, welcome back Monster Fighters
I adore the house, but the fact it opens like that is SO stupid.
I've never watched the show but I have picked up both of the original sets on discount so I'll probably do the same for these, they look like they have some fun pieces.
I find it hilarious that Thing has the whole "little pet care" play ethos. You can paint their nails, give them a bubble bath, play a Gameboy micro, put them to bed, and give them a fidget spinner.

If you're talking about the pearl titanium one, that first appeared in the buildable Wednesday Figure.
I love Morticia's house. It's just a direct full goth minidoll playset rather than a gimmick sculptural model! More sets like this should have been made for the license!
That car looks awesome. I'll have to try to PAB/Bricklink that separately. No way can I justify that much for the set.
That cottage is fantastic!
Will definitely be picking that up and replacing those dolls with 71007-16 Spooky Girl and 71013-5 Spooky Boy. Potentially a 71000-1 Gypsy.

I am indeed not. I was talking about the Sand Green colored one.

Why??
It gives you full access to every room, and is something different and cool in LEGO!

y'know what, I swore we had the Sand Green leaves for a while now, but I guess I was just thinking of the Olive Green ones! I think that might be the last shade of green that element hasn't been in, excluding the transparents.
The cottage without the minidolls but with the minifigures from the Haunted Mansion equals one very cool combo. Shame about the stickered stained glass windows; should have been prints.

I assume you meant 71000-9 Fortune Teller? 71000-1 was the Waiter from Series 9.

I thought the same, and had to double check. Very nice to have, though! I believe your right, too.
I liked the first round of sets but not enough to pay full price. Ended up getting great deals on them. It will be curious to see if any retailers carry these new sets or if I'll end up having to get them directly from LEGO. I think I'll wait a bit to see if they get discounted quickly like the last wave did. I really like the Cottage one.

I'm guessing this person aims to build a Gomez. In which case, might sir and/or madam be interested in something along the lines of https://brickset.com/minifigs/twn032/, or perhaps the more casual https://brickset.com/minifigs/twn243. Or there was that time monsieur Addams _really_ got into daytime-television, which might be commemmorated with the torso found here, https://brickset.com/minifigs/hp445.
Fester is easy, since he basically just wears a black potato-sack habit. You could take damn near any black-clad character such as Voldemort, and maybe give him the head off of https://brickset.com/minifigs/col217 - which doesn't just have the baggy eyes, but it also glows in the dark. You can emulate his party-trick, the one where he lights up a lightbulb in his mouth!
That's not Lurch. That is anyone but Lurch
Why tf it can't have normal minifigs, so disappointing.
The colours on that cottage are very pretty and soothing.
