A new Disney gift-with-purchase set has been revealed on LEGO.com's instructions page!

The 270-piece 40774 Classic Animation Scenes will be available from LEGO.com later this month, featuring vignettes inspired by 1990s films Toy Story and The Lion King. These scenes can be swapped out in a retro television display.

We will let you know more details as we are able. However, this set is already available from Disney Store in the United States, with purchases of $130 or more when using the promo code GIFT at checkout. This is a welcome method to acquire it before LEGO's promotion, recalling the similar early release of 40659 Mini Steamboat Willie in October 2023.

What do you think? Let us know in the comments, and view more images after the break...

By in Canada,

I'm not really into Disney per se (I have 2-3 sets and a few minifigs) but I think this is well done and I like it. I will try to get this but if I have to buy Disney stuff, it will be next to impossible for me to get it. I do not buy Marvel, and Star Wars either (I could possibly bend the rule for Star Wars but not much is of interest to me lately).

Despite the fact that the last Disney film I watched was The Love Bug in 1969 this is a great looking GWP that I'll definitely pick up at the end of the month.

They knocked it out of the park with this one

The great generational divide will between AFOLs who know what knobs and rabbit ears are and Gen Z and below who don't.

This is quite cute. I don't buy a lot of Disney stuff but if it can be gotten with other purchases I'd be happy to get this. Heck, if it is Disney-specific and the price threshold is low enough I might even be able to be convinced to pick up a set like the new Wall-E one.

Cool. If this was just a set, I’d probably buy it, but I won’t go out of my way to pay eBay prices to get it

Wall-E! that's the ticket. I can certainly buy Wall-E to get this - probably won't be enough though.

I really like this! It's kind of a fun idea. Love the way they built Lenny.

Nice to see that Simba fig in another set. It'd be nice if he showed up in another retail set again soon.

"Gift-with-purchase"
Insert Squidward walking away with lounge chair meme.

Reminds me of the backdrops for 41714. This is a cute idea for doing just about any scene.

Wall-E is a good one, but it is actually quite small. Yes, more detailed, but still small nonetheless.

This looks absolutely delightful!

This is awesome!

Hope the purchase threshold isn’t stupidly high, and it’s not Disney-only (as others have stated already)

I'd love to get this - Toy Story (2) and Lion King are both significant movies to me so this is pretty much a winning combination in my book - but I don't buy Lego new so I'm not gonna get my hands on it the intended way at least. Maybe if it's not too expensive on the aftermarket...

I don't like to be the one to say it, because I'm usually all in favour of minifigure designs not needing to be as detailed as modern ones can tend to be; but I do feel like Woody loses something without the dual-moulded legs. If I ever did get the set, I think I'd like to upgrade him with a pair of those from Bricklink.

This will almost certainly be limited to Disney purchases, and 43279 almost certainly won't be enough to get it, so I'll probably never get it. I'm not enough of a fan of Disney in general to get it on the aftermarket, although I do like the way they did Lenny in the Toy Story display. Now, if this were a Toy Story thirtieth anniversary set with three swappable scenes from that movie, I'd be all over it.

Dammit! I like The Lion King, but I could have happily skipped this if it was just Pride Rock. The fact that it's also a Toy Story set is just unfair.

I don’t know how to feel about this set including The Lion King and Toy Story scenes, movies I saw first hand in movie theaters, reflected on a television screen, let alone on a cathode ray tube style TV which itself went away almost 20 years ago…let alone a CRT TV with bunny ears that faded long before that…

Never get old, my friends.

I have one of these coming (due the 17th) as a GWP from the Disney Store. Interesting they had it early before LEGO directly.

Where is the rest of the 26 speed champions lineup

By in United States,

I kind of wish there was an alternate sticker where instead of "Disney" it said "Walt Disney Pictures", mainly cause that was the one I personally saw the most of when watching some classic Disney movies.
