By in United Kingdom,

I must say I’m surprised this isn’t tied to Disney (or Marvel, or Star Wars…) purchases. Ironically I ended up getting something from one of their ostensible competitors to qualify for it (but I guess Disney wins either way).

By in Czechia,

It's also a 2x points for 21359 Italian Riviera till 03/11 (at least in my country)

By in Ireland,

I'm hoping the stock will last until Saturday and I can combine with the Goonies GWP.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I'm tempted by Goonies as well. Double GWP could push me over the top.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Looks very good, although I would have preferred true classics like Snow White or Dumbo. 90s, not so much.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Another one on the fence about the Goonies but two good GWP will probably swing it for me too.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Great GWP and at a fair threshold, but not so much on my list that I won't expect to be discounted soon enough. Let's hope for a return of this GWP on a later date.

It is a bit weird they put 90s movies inside what looks like a 60s or 70s TV set.

I can't seem to work up any enthusiasm for this.

From now on, I will only buy new product that is really, really fun.

By in United States,

I just grabbed one with mostly a bricks & pieces order, I’m not taking chances that it will still be in stock when I go grab Goonies!

Yes. Seems weird. I’m just leaving mine with the Disney Castle in the TV. Won’t even bother building the TS and LK bits.

By in United States,

If I hadn't just ordered 21358 partially to get 40785, I'd consider getting 10358 to get this. But honestly, the appeal to me is in the Toy Story scene and the old TV; the other two don't have a huge appeal to me. I'm not the kind of person to collect Disney merch just because it's Disney merch, and I've never seen The Lion King, although I may watch it on Disney+ one of these days. So I'll let it pass.

"Nick a Brick?" How to you get GWPs with stolen bricks? (Couldn't resist.)

That offer is available here too, and if I wasn't going away tomorrow, I'd consider getting it. As it my bricklink orders only just arrived in time, one today and the other two on Friday, which was weird considering I ordered all three at the same time.

Y-Y-Y-YOU'VE NEVER SEEN THE LION KING??????

By in United States,

I just found out that today is International animation Day, so the timing of this seems very practical and excellent!

By in Canada,

Following the review of 'value' sets, I decided to pull the trigger on 43279 (the set is backorder so the actual spending will take place later). As Christmas is coming, I also wanted 40820 and these two were just under the threshold so I completed with 71487 which was 20% off at Lego. I cleared the threshold by 37 cents. Perfect! Not the best GWP but not the worst either - I would also have preferred oldies (Bambi and Snow White) instead of those two - I suppose they went with the minifigs they had in quantity. Only one set left to buy this year before the upcoming new modular.

All kings are lying kings, sir. Especially the ones who were elected, rather than coronated.

He should. It's great. The animated 1994 original, though, not the horrible CGI abomination.

If I was Chiwetel Ejiofor I’d’ve sued Disney for what they did to Scar’s big number. No lava!! No marching hyenas!! Barely even a SONG!! Imagine accepting the role and then finding out you don’t get to do the most fun bit. Film crimes.

If I do see The Lion King, it will definitely be the original. And @StudMuffin24, you're not being very Hakuna Matata about what I said.
