Harry Potter Advent Calendar - Day 18

Posted by ,

There is a connection between Luna Lovegood and Thestrals from the previous two days, so it would be great to see another relevant item on day eighteen.

Find out what we receive below...

76456 LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar 2025 was exhibited at the London Toy Fair in January and among the items that stood out to me then was this mini Skele-Gro bottle. The design is quite simple, but accurate to the movie prop, with a skull on top and 1x2 rounded plates comprising ribs, which look splendid. The printed label is excellent as well, abridging information from the onscreen bottle.

Overall - This might be my favourite mini artefact so far, rivalling the Polyjuice Potion bottle.

In relation to minifigs, it's another super-save jug.

So that's why all the animals and trinkets are so large. Someone's been pouring Skele-Gro on everything.

Would have been nice if they’d brought back the baby skull. Or if they’d put it on OPAB in the first place.

Explains the bulkiness of brickbeak and the thestral, too.

The mini magical items have truly been the highlight of this calendar. They will make such good shelf space fillers!

It seems Hogsmeade has a Costco. That's a huge container.

It used to be a lot smaller, until they filled it. Make a bottle out of the same substance that the contents are intended to affect, what did they think was going to happen? Of course, now all the potion is used up, too.

By in Netherlands,

Another day another one-use print. Compare that to the Star Wars calender

Oh, now that is a neat dark twist here.

Much more wholesome than the minifig-scaled bottle, although that's mostly because that one was topped with the skull of an infant. Which was kind of an awesome piece in and of itself, but how often do you need to use a baby-skull? And how often is -too often-?
