Harry Potter Advent Calendar - Day 19

Posted by ,

Today should bring our penultimate minifigure, dressed in a Slytherin jumper. I am generally in favour of logical scheduling, though I wish this Advent Calendar had been less predictable.

Or perhaps today will be a total surprise...

Blaise Zabini is certainly not a surprise, but this minifigure is more interesting than the others found in the second half of this Advent Calendar. While this torso is identical to Draco Malfoy's and features the same Grindylow icon, delightfully dressed in a Santa hat! The row of trees and silhouetted Hogwarts Castle looks superb too.

However, more notable than the Slytherin jumper is Blaise's new head, which is an exclusive medium brown design. This part is needed because only older versions of Blaise Zabini have appeared before. I like the cheeky smile and a wider variety of medium brown heads is always appreciated.

The textured hair element also looks excellent and the minifigure comes equipped with a dark brown wand, as with Blaise's previous appearances.

Overall - I would welcome greater variety in these characters' jumpers, but I appreciate Blaise's new head and the whole minifigure looks great.

Only character in this HPAC who doesn’t get a double-sided head.

For a moment I thought this was the SW calender and wondered who this was

This doesn't look like a machine that smooths out the ice at all, let alone one that's been set on fire.

Young FN-2187. He used to be on the baddies side, hence the Slytherin sweater.

But why's he wearing a Groot sweater?

No."

Yes, it is. He's never had the kid (short legs) treatment before this.
