LEGO have an incredible knack of improving Ideas sets from ‘I have no interest in this’ when originally picked, to ‘oh god I want it’.

Agree, the color palette especially is usually way prettier imo

By in United States,

This won't replace 40522 as a perpetual figure on my shelves in the living room (big heart removed).

Still like it and might get it though!

Well done model, not for me but to those who find it fetching excited for you!

Pretty.

This would be a great addition to a larger forest scene. I wonder if there’s any kind of attachment point underneath.

By in United States,

Good pricing, and the tree is still fantastic!

Nice. Another Bonsai to the collection.
And a pair of complimentary birds!

My wife would be all over this if it was a pair of love *owls* and not pink birds. Somebody get me a Hedwig mod.

1st of Jan could be a busy day!

The birds are rather scary in my view. I appreciate the use of colours to make this an appealing set, but I feel like the birds should have given more of a varied colour palette.

So…is this the typical cardinal situation, or do these birds not display dimorphism?

My first thought on seeing this was that I would have been more likely to get it if the lovebirds had been those mango-looking ones.

By in Netherlands,

Very likely a hot seller amongst castle fans. Nice tree, don't care for the birds.

By in United States,

Gorgeous tree build - I might pick this up if I see it for sale in the future.

Good place to showcase the new pink!

By in Spain,

It's very beautiful and well-executed, but let's be honest. At this point, Lego is making decorative pieces for grandma's house.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Meh, there’s something really off with the legs that just simply rest on the branch.

And isn't that great that they're making more diverse sets now than they ever have before, to encourage new builders and fans of all ages?

My sisters gonna be pissed, she has been so excited hoping for the Snoopy set to come out and was hoping the next announcement would be him

The tree looks phenomenal. The birds, meh. They look good but I’m not as interested. May buy the individual pieces for the tree to add to my landscape

Yeah, really. Especially now, around the Christmas season, it strikes me how nice it is that now there are Lego sets that I can get not just for my kid relatives or my dad and siblings who are also fans of Lego, but also sets that my older aunts and uncles who aren't primarily Lego fans can appreciate.

I like the tree, not sure about the birds.

This might be true this time around, but usually, it goes the other way: goes from "great submission, I want it so badly" to "wow, Lego changed it so much, I now have very little interest in this".

It is indeed a very good looking rendition.

There will be good stud reversal techniques in these birds.

Nitpicking here but it is fairly rare that a male and female bird are identical in appearance.

By in Netherlands,

They indeed look more like robot birds than actual birds, plus their look is a little too evil-ish/angry to be cute for me, but the colors are very nice. Guess I'm the only one who liked the initial submission more for its simplicity
