By in United Kingdom,

Another high threshold. Not sure such a small set - however cutesy - is worth the spend. Lion Dance had a similar threshold yet had more meat on the bones plus 4 minifigs.

€80 was the rumored threshold I saw. Hopefully thats more accurate. I respect a quality gwp with a higher threshold but the frequency of them makes it hard to maintain purchasing at that volume and cost.

By in Brazil,

So we got the Lion Dragons with 600 pieces on a 150 dollar threshold, and now we have a much smaller set (less than 300 pieces) for the same? Doesn’t seem to be right.

Aw, penguins love each other enough to completely abandon each other for months at a time.

By in Poland,

Awful build to be honest.

I will wait till the next GWP before I make my next purchase. At least the Lion Dance set that's being offered now is interesting, this is just dumb.

I caught you a delicious bass.

By in Australia,

I completely approve of Lego's sudden fascination with penguin-related sets.

I wonder where they got the idea from...

That depends on which species of penguin this is supposed to represent. Sure, Emperors never leave the icy wastes of Antarctica, but for their feeding forays at sea. But other species live all over the southern hemisphere, including one species that has a habitat that extends a teensy bit into the northern hemisphere. Sure, it’s mostly ocean, but the southern hemisphere is also home to many tropical islands, South America, Australia, most of Africa, and a diverse variety of plant life. I mean, this probably isn’t that one equatorial species, given the white likely representing snow on the base. If it is an Emperor, it could be a gift of seaweed meant to say, “Sorry I abandoned you to starve for two months while I bailed to stuff my gullet.” Or it could be a bit of post-digested fish.
