They look so cute!

I think it is courageous and cool that they gave every turtle a different colour.

It's great to see TMNT back! But I have to say, teal for Mikey is quite a choice...

Also necessary, considering their designs are otherwise very similar.

Oh, these are cute. I dunno if my childhood fondness for TMNT is strong enough to make them a must have, but I like them and if a discount pops up I’d be very tempted.

It looks like Donatello is lime green. I'll have to start collecting the right parts in olive green so that I can make him correctly when this comes out. Also, ignoring the April Fool's Day release date, did anyone else notice that they're releasing a TMNT set in *April*? (I see what you did there LEGO.)

It reminds me of the classic toys from Playmates! Kinda wish Donnie was Olive Green to really drive the homage home.

The gold used on their weapons kinda irked me at first (an obvious budget save thanks to Ninjago keeping those parts in circulation always), but I guess if they're based on the '87 toys you could say it's interpreting the dark orange plastic of their original accessories!

By in Belgium,

Cute! But can we get minifigs as well? Ideally based on the original animated series :-)

COWABUNGA, DUDE :D

Hope this means new sets with minifigures later down the line! I loved the LEGO designs for the turtles characters in Fortnite. Would be a shame not to get those physically!

That was already the case back in 2003. The first seasons of that series were incredible too.

By in United Kingdom,

I appreciate the little touches in trying to make them different but that’s still four very samey looking builds…

By in Finland,

A 2000 - 4000 piece modular (or Ghostbusters HQ style) icons set of the hideout from the 2003 show with simple uniform designs like this that are differentiated only by shades of green and the trademark colours would be very nice.

Throw in plenty of genuinely fun play features and minifigures of Splinter, Shredder, (Casey Jones, April O'Neil,) and 2-4 generic foot clan ninjas and we have a deal.

No way. Didn’t see there return on my bingo card for 2026. What’s it been. 9-10 years ?

Ahhh ok, yes I was also thinking one of them definitely should have been olive green!

And yeah, I immediately thought of that when I saw the gold weapons. Luckily it's not too difficult to buy the same parts in silver though.

By in United States,

Their skin tones match the original toys perfectly!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I sure hope those means minifig based sets to follow!

But why is Michelangelo blue…

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Gonna need some pearl grey parts for Donnie's shell, though.

These are so cool!

Booyah-kasha!!! Still don't know why Mikey is teal...

Gravatar
By in Finland,

Is there 4 different Green colours?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Definitely not based on the same series as the minifig sets, but since I happen to be watching the episode in question right as I'm typing this, I STILL WANT MY SQUIRRELINOID MINIFIGS!

Most film and TV depictions make them all different colors, so they actually cheaped out when they did the minifigs in only two. Though, to be fair, the color gradiant in the 2012 series was one of the most muted they've ever done. And if they flipped the colors for Leo and Raph, ditched the monogrammed belt buckles, and changed the eyes to solid white, these would be a pretty good match for the 2003 show.

@Elrond:
Um...you're thinking of the wrong series. 2003 was the fantastic show where Peter Laird was the sole owner and made it closer to the original comics. The LEGO sets were based on the 2012 Nickelodeon series after Laird had sold the IP to Viacom. Still a great show, but not quite up to the level of 2003's.

These look amazing, I wonder if you could do a black and white one for Ronin....

Guys! Remember to watch TMNT Mutant Mayhem (2023)

Gravatar
By in United States,

I made a set of Turtles almost immediately after BrickHeadz were unveiled because their design is perfect for them. I like my build choices more, but they're still good.

Saw it on the big screen. I'd rank it the best iteration they've done since the 2012 Nick series. I even picked up the first season of the spinoff series (still waiting for S2 to hit home video), and will be watching the sequel film when it arrives.

By in United States,

It is so surprising to see the return of TMNT to LEGO. These are almost perfect. I dislike the color choice of Michelangelo. It’s blue, the Bright Bluish Green AKA teal. It’s reminds me how annoying to see the teal color used in the Wicked sets. So frustrating because it’s freaking blue, dude.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Being color blind in the greens and reds range means teal looks bluish gray to me, and lime looks like an ugly, dulled yellow.

Sorting is a real chore with some colors, also. But I do like the look of these! Very exciting, as I missed the Party Wagon first time around. Hope we get a redux.

Let this be the rekindling of LEGO and Nickelodeon ?? we need Avatar back

By in Ireland,

The ‘half shells’ of these heroes aren’t that impressive. They’d struggle to retract into them.

It's a nod to the 2003 cartoon (and probably some newer ones too), where Mikey was indeed very bluish.

It's also been there in other toys from the 80s/90s, where Mikey was distinctively leaning to blue in many cases (the first action figure from 1988 was a bit closer to Lego's regular green, but still a bit bluish). Donatello was also basically brown in those toy lines.

I kinda like it. A bit extreme maybe, but I always envisioned Michaelangelo as teal (in toy form at least). Probably the first Brickheadz I'm gonna pickup.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Maybe I'm missing some deep lore here, but why is Mikey teal?

Gravatar
By in United States,

These are cool. Now a few system scale sets that are under 100$, is that too much to ask?
(We all know the answer sadly)

Don't forget Spongebob! I would love an updated for modern times Sandy's rocket and a proper Flying Dutchman's pirate ship! Also, if we ever get Avatar the last Airbender, we need the battleships (maybe a monorail too?) from Legend of Korra! At least give us a proper Fire nation ship!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Those are great fun but Mikey looks more like Slash in the teal
