LEGO Star Wars 75446 Grogu (Mandalorian Apprentice) official images!
Posted by CapnRex101,Just a year has passed since 75403 Grogu with Hover Pram was launched and another version of Din Djarin's young charge has been revealed, ahead of The Mandalorian and Grogu's release.
This model contains 1200 pieces and seems quite similar to 75318 The Child from 2020, though with some additional Mandalorian accessories on this occasion. The set will be available from April 26th, costing £119.99, $129.99 or €129.99.
More images and the product description are available below...
Build a playful centrepiece with this LEGO Star Wars Grogu (Mandalorian Apprentice) building toy for kids (75446). Recreate Grogu’s beskar armour and satchel, as worn in Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu. Place a blue cookie accessory in his hand and put one in his satchel to snack on later. Move the lever to turn Grogu’s head, adjust his mouth, ears, hands and fingers and reattach the arms in different ways to create characteristic poses. Display the brick-built model alongside the Grogu info plaque and standard-size Grogu LEGO figure to create a cute Star Wars decoration to delight any fan.

Am I impressed? Not really - This is our third baby Yoda / child / Grogu large scale model, and it's kind of getting old. The featured accessories in this set are also a bit of "Malibu Stacy: Now with NEW hat!" if I'm being honest...
I wonder if Grogu is going to hold a record for non Minifigure scale brick built figures.
Those ears are way too thick and chunky, with not enough of the inner tan area.
Between the SMART Play sets and the Mandalorian sets which pretty much all look like things we've seen a dozen times before, it seems like it's going to be a very poor year for Lego Star Wars.
They’re really, like, quintupling down on this little green goblin and his cerulean blue macarons.

It's almost as if Lego knows what sells...
Oh cool. More Grogu.
Whatever you think of the model as a whole, you've got to admit that "Favorite snacks" may be the best stat in an info plaque yet.

And pure beskar chest plates are my favourite snacks too!
"How many more buildable Grogus are we gonna get?"
LEGO: yes
The rumored UCS SSD better be a fantastic build with only printed parts at a reasonable price point if 2026 LSW is going to be anything to write home about.

Umm... you realize that's "gear", not snacks?
Why is that Gremlin wearing a cloak?
The arms on the box image look weird. Like Gorgu’s right arm starts halfway his body and then reaches up.
Remember how amazing it was that the Disney marketing team kept Grogu in the original Mandalorian series under wraps and did not make any toys featuring him to guarantee that there would be no leaks to spoil his reveal in the show? Despite the fact that they’d be leaving money on the table?
Feels like they are definitely trying to make up for that now.
I liked the old one's face better.

He'll have to overtake Baby Groot first, and it seems like they put out a new one of him every other year too. Guess we'll see which of them outlasts the other in the end though.
Zzzzzz
At least they found matching models for it. ;)
The arm anatomy looks inexcusable in the raised position, where the shoulder appears to be comimg out of Grogu's waist. How can that have been approved as the design, let alone the main promo shot??
I wonder if the head is interchangeable with 21366

I'll take "Cursed images I'll never get out of my head" for $500, Alex.
Why do Lego keep doing new Baba Yoda's when we've been waiting weeks for a new Hulkbuster.

At least we're full up on Batmobiles. Until June or so, at least.

We? I’d rather 10 baby Yoda's than another crap hulkbuster.

I give you one crap Hulkbuster and raise you a wonky eyed Mona Lisa.
This little goblin child carries all the hopes and dreams of a dying Lucasfilm and Star Wars franchise, cut him some slack. He's got enough to stress about right now.
1,200 pieces?! Do you open him up and he’s filled with 800 loose 1x1 round plates?

The way that kid eats, wouldn't surprise me.
This is getting out of control.
Lego is announcing 1-2 sets per day over the last few weeks. how on earth can people keep up with their wanted list. Is this a new strategy by Lego to just Flood people with sets that cater to neiche obscure markets ?
Is it to stay relevant every day like McDonalds advertising ?
I feel its too much in your face and putting me off the apeal of waiting a few weeks before announcements and its not as 'special' its desensitising.
Some of the sets that are 'special announcements' arent even that good.
"... reattach the arms in different ways..."
Wookie not included.
Mando Grogu!!!

Kashyyk is more known for disarticulations than reattachments. :o) I assume they have surgeons, though. Do you think they wear really really big hair nets?
I love how the cloak looks organic and how studs works as a fur texture. In such scale that is top notch design.
Another day, another buildable grogu

I'm starting to wonder what people what people really want, when we get these massive floodwaves of new sets two or three times a year, there are complaints of it being "too much at once" and request that Brickset portions it out in easily-digestible servings (even if it means they'll end up weeks after other Lego sites' announcements). And now when we get a few sets a day, that's also too much to keep up with.
I'd say BOTH are highly preferable to the week- and months-long news draughts we occasionally experience, when opening the page in the afternoon only gives you the same "Random set/figure" articles you saw last night.
It seems like Lego's announcements goes a bit in waves, like for instance how they announce a lot of sets in spring/early summer, and then there's very little as most employees are on holiday. I feel this January have had unusually many releases (potentially letting me blow my full year's budget in that month alone), normally this is the after-Christmas slump with (apart from the modular) mostly uninteresting stuff like Duplo and City police. Maybe Lego tries to spread the announcements more evenly this year?

Thank god for market research!
Pass. I already have one that looks barely any different. I can get that ne Grogu in a different set.
The 2020 version looks better in my opinion and can still be bought new on Amazon for $80 . . . that is a big problem for LEGO and will definitely impact the sales of this set.
I misread the title as Grogu (Mandalorian appearance) and thought this meant he would turn giant in the movie.
...maybe he still will...?

And that is why I set my new preferences to not show set reveals. It's a lot more quiet and relaxing when it's not one gigantic set after the other. Especially because between reveals, press releases, reviews and the occasional follow-up article it gets to be a lot more...
Meh, I'll pass. He should be Luke's apprentice anyway.

Seriously. The entire plot of the first two seasons was to get him to a Jedi. Then once he's with Luke, it's like, send him back to live with the bounty hunter because he is sad. And Luke understood what it meant to be pulled away by friends . . . he literally ditched Yoda to go save his friends . . . and he still got to be a Jedi. Sorry, rant over. I still love the show, but not staying with Luke was wierd.
Bro. $130 when the last one of basicly the same set was what? 60? I would like to call for a lego star wars boycott.

Of course, regardless of who he stayed with, they'd die of old age before he hit puberty. At least Luke would have still been around as a Force ghost...

No, the show had three seasons. This and the other sets are based on an upcoming movie.
