Tractor Roni?

By in New Zealand,

Those must be racing overalls because they match the colour scheme of the tractor.

Beige cowboy hat, shifty smile and green overalls with an Email icon. What exactly is this guy growing on his farm?

By in Turkey,

The set this figure comes with is easy to build. Perfect if you have odd number of tires. I had an extra fedora, so I cloned the tractor and the likeness of this figure.

By in United Kingdom,

I feel we’ve had a lot of green characters lately. Only three, looking at the sidebar, but also a lot of blues and silvers and other “cold” colours. Come on guys, days are warming up as we head into spring, be more like yesterday's example and break out the warmer tones!

I have never felt so old.

Does he have a 2nd job in the postal service?

I didn't think random minifigures could appear more than once.

By in Netherlands,

Pepper's face will always remind me of 7776 The Shipwreck, as that head appears on the box and instructions image, but not in the set itself!

Yeah, I feel like I drank from the wrong Grail.

You must not follow this feature very closely, it's not uncommon. Figure designations come from Bricklink, not Lego, and Bricklink sometimes re-designates figures, so if a figure's designation was added to a "do not use as RFotD" database, the possibility is there that a figure could be given a designation that's already been used, despite that particular figure never having actually been here. In fact, if you go through the history of this feature, you'll see a lot of blank spaces where a minifigure photo should be, because a re-designation means that the algorithm that pulls the image to display is looking for the picture from an entry that doesn't exist any more. The most common example is Super Heroes, Ninjago, and Friends figures picked before those lines went from three-digit designations to four-digit ones, but others exist, like https://brickset.com/article/104570/random-minifig-of-the-day-ww025. The figure in question has since been re-designated edu023. https://brickset.com/minifigs/edu023/gold-prospector-male-dark-blue-plaid-button-shirt-reddish-brown-legs-reddish-brown-fedora-hat-red-bandana-beard Also, figures from BDP sets were originally prefixed with adp, not bdp, so that's another group of missing images.

Well, that just doesn't rhyme at all.

Well, it's been about 35 years since I was a teenager wearing overalls in the late 80s/early 90s, so my memory could be faulty... but I am fairly certain that I never referred to the front pocket as a 'email icon'!!

Yep. You are correct - apparently nobody gets actual letters anymore!

Tractor Roni?"

I think his original name works great in this setting, too!

Nice to see the fedora mould still in use after so many years.

Edit:
Okay, I'm confused.
Brickset says the part was produced from 2009 - 2024, while BrickLink says it was released from 2008 - 2026.

Adding to my confusion, there's a variation which was released from 2013 - 2025.

Perfect-looking fig from a perfect-looking set. I love colour-variants and classic overalls in green look great, and I love the long-tail survival of Mr. Roni as a produced fig.

The quotes are from Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade, and that references them feeling _OLD_, but I don't know what triggered that response.

@Joce1275:
Yeah, that's just a fairly standard reinforced pocket design. Some brands, like Levi's, have a distinctive stitch pattern that's likely trademarked, but this is one that you might find on any brand that doesn't have their own special design. As a letter, it would need to be hand-sorted because it's square, and the mail-sorting machines will have problems processing it. My parents actually got a square envelope from my dad's sister recently, and they owed postage on it because hand-sorting costs more than regular 1st Class.

The 61506 fedora is the Indiana Jones hat. Brickset inventories are going to go by when TLG says that design appeared in sets, but TLG has been known to retcon that data when they introduce a new mold design. Bricklink treats them all as the same design if the result looks the same.

Then the 13565 fedora has a much wider brim that is also shaped very differently (the entire thing curls upwards, and the base of the hat sits fairly flat where the IJ fedora looks like the minecart track ramp from the side). There's now also a narrow brim fedora where the entire brim is flat (or nearly so) all the way to the edge, and which first appeared in 71045-1.
