Christmas Train Ornament

This image of the Christmas train ornament has been found on the shop.LEGO.com server which therefore suggests that it will be available to consumers, not just an employee gift.

I've no idea when or how you'll be able to get hold of it though, but no doubt we'll find out soon enough.

By in United States,

Or you can just make it, what's the point of selling these?

It probably be a free thing given out in stores in December.

By in United States,

I've been led to believe, following a discussion with a store employee, that these are being given away at the VIP Black Friday events. We shall see!

I think a brick Friday giveaway is likely. I hope so

By in United States,

Don't know if the toys r us one is a take home....though I bet there is some giveaway as other companies have with these events. Like the train though the parts seem easy to find.

I would've already built this but I don't have those red slope things and the things on the wheels. Maybe it'll come in a really cool package.

The red slope pieces usually are referred to as cheese pieces and should be easy to find. The yellow flower pieces on the wheels probably came from Friends' and other sets. The white ice cream cone piece on the smokestack also should be on bricklink. I am not sure what the piece is called on top of the locomotive roof....any ideas out there? It is the only one I don't recall having, so this could be a fun little project in our house. (And maybe we will receive one next Saturday at TLS event in Raleigh.) Good luck putting this together in time for the holidays!

The thing on the top is the part they use on the old planet sets. Not sure what they're called either...
The cheese parts are the ones that are 1x2 that are higher , not sure how many other sets have them in that color..

The black piece on top which serves as a hook is called a round 2x2 plate with eye. It's part 6010831 .

I showed the manager of my Lego B&M store the image of the train ornament here on Brickset and she responded: "Yep, that's the one." Every VIP attending the pre-Black Friday event next Saturday will receive one of these in a red pouch. Whether it will be widely available after the event to others I don't know.

She also informed me that VIPs will get double points throughout the day, however, Lego has not released the list of sale items to the stores yet. I understand there will be some new sets available too -- she mentioned Creator theme.

This is interesting. We'll see what happens. Could hand on a Christmas-Tree through the Round 2x2 Plate With Eye.

It's a nice one I'll admit that. Will look cool on a Christmas tree minus the fact that I'm saving my cash for BIONICLE 2015 and will not be buying anything from LEGO.com until then.

I attended this morning a VIP (by invitation) event at the Houston (Texas, US) Galleria mall LEGO store. They were celebrating a pre-thanksgiving event and offering the same deals as on-lie (double VIP points and the 2nd Holiday set - 40107 Winter skating scene with purchases of $99 or more). At the door, we all received a small bag with goodies: 1 LEGO wrapping paper, 1 set 40091 Thanksgiving Turkey and 1 set 5002813 the Christmas Train Ornament.

* Looks like the invitation was for the 50 higher spenders :-o [Oh my... really?] for this store. I think I didn't want to know.

Yay, I saw this pic last week and thought it was so cute. Then on Saturday, it showed up in the mail! It was in a Christmas card with a thanks for being a VIP member! So excited!
