Three beautiful botanical sets revealed!

Posted by ,

The botanicals theme looks set to continue to flourish with the introduction of three new sets during the summer.

11505 Woodland Mushrooms takes the theme into the realm of fungi and looks spectacular, successfully capturing the weird and wonderful shapes and colours of wild mushrooms.

11511 Water Lilies also introduces a new concept to the range: aquatic plants, which come with bowls of 'water' to display them in, while 11514 Cosmos flowers is another small bouquet.

View pictures of all three after the break.

I like the direction they've gone with the mushrooms. Built like it's been taken straight out of the ground, with everything else near it, not another plant set in a pot.

Mushrooms is the best botanical since 2024. Something new with NPU instead of recolored flowers.

I never thought I'd be able to get 'shrooms from Lego. And I wonder how many people will be getting 11514 just for the parts, especially those shields.

Not so keen on the Cosmos Flowers but the other 2 are gorgeous!

I like them. Mushrooms is superb.

I may have to look back at first botanical sets, but my impression/concern is that there is less ‘NPU’ of common parts, and more parts designed specifically for botanical and harder to use for other projects.(though for some can consider this perfectly OK).

(sorry for my English)

Eh, I feel the lilies are disappointing here. Yeah technically they look good but it’s because they’re using specialised leaf and petal pieces designed from the get-go to look like what they’re portraying. It’s just not as fun and clever as, say, using the Snow White dwarf hats as mushroom caps

That mushrooms set has got to be one of the top five sets of this release burst. Maybe top three. It’s really, really good. Both the lilies and the cosmos flowers are pretty, but wow, those mushrooms.
