Thanks to everyone that emailed us about it yesterday and apologies for my tardiness in getting the news posted here, for the lack of news and reviews recently, and for not coming up with an original April Fool's joke.

As you may know I've been away for a couple of weeks. When I arrived back on Saturday I had to get my central heating control system fixed, it having failed whilst I was away. Then on Sunday the frames of my glasses broke. I managed to get a replacement frame fitted just in time to head to my daughter's Masters graduation ceremony in Birmingham yesterday. So, sorry, real life got in the way. I'm sure it does for you too from time to time :-)

Anyway, I'm now back on the case and normal service has been resumed. Tomorrow I am planning to unveil a cool new feature to the site that I worked on just before I went away. I'm not yet sure how useful it will be, but it is cool nevertheless. And, if you're a member of the forum, check there tomorrow for news of a very cool event that DrDave is organising.

Sadly this is like the best set in the theme.

Don't worry about the April Fool's joke, there's always next year. :)

Cool. Not sure what the turret-thing's supposed to be, but cool anyways. Is that a new dinosaur mold?

By in United States,

I believe it's a feeding tower or some kind of thing. I don't think it looks like the best in the series. I'm excited about the Jurassic World sets. Need that hamster ball thing.

How in the... is that a Gallimimus?!

By in United States,

Not a new mold (was used in the Dino theme as a Coelophysis I believe) and definitely a very bad choice as Gallimimus. Sad little set.

Looks like an April Fool's joke to me. ;)

Yeah, I was going to ask, is *this* set the April Fool's joke?

Because that really doesn't look like a Gallimimus.

Ornithomimidae did not have teeth. And they probably had feathers. But Speilberg knew when he made JP that Tyrannosaurus Rex should have had a kind of proto-feather.

The set might be a fake by LEGO, but on the other hand, it might not.

And yes, I am looking forward to that cool new feature of the ------------- page...

"They're flocking this way."

"Well just distract them with a lego chicken leg!"

I really hope this is a joke. If not, it's insulting. I might just boycott the entire theme for this. Really LEGO? Re-use parts if you want, but don't grossly misrepresent dinosaur species. I know you're not Playmobil, but always liked to think that LEGO was SOMEWHAT educational...

By in United States,

As others have said, this is not a Gallimimus. Looks like a nice set to add to my Savage Land.

Where's Admiral Akbar when you need him?

By in United States,

And to think I thought a frilled Dilophosaurus was the worst I'd have to put up with from this theme...

By in United States,

Wait a minute, it is a juvenile T-Rex.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Lol that is not a Gallimimus. At all.

By in United States,

I'm all in on these Jurassic World sets, so this is a must own companion. Pre-ordered mine at gamestop last week!

I went in to my local Gamestop and they knew nothing of this. Anyone else?
