It's official: Free LEGO with the Daily Mail starts next weekend
Posted by Huw,
We've now had it confirmed that the Daily Mail promotion will start next Saturday, 16th May and will run until the following Sunday. The sets are those listed by BrickFanatics last month, with the exception of the A-Wing: we have 30274 AT-DP instead. The Disney Princess set, of which there was a question mark, is 30116 Rapunzel's Market Visit, as you can see from the picture.
So the sets are, in date order, which can also be viewed in this BrickList, are:
- Satuday May 16: 30311 Swamp Police Helicopter
- Sunday: 30303 The Joker Bumper Car
- Monday: 30283 Off-Road
- Tuesday: 30116 Rapunzel's Market Visit
- Wednesday: 30284 Tractor
- Thursday: 30274 AT-DP
- Friday: 30313 Garbage Truck
- Saturday May 23: 30312 Demolition Driller
- Sunday: 30293 Kai Drifter
There's more information on the Daily Mail website. Tokens can be redeemed in participating branches of WHSmiths, Morrisons and Eason stores, but not Toys R Us this time.

I live in Venezuela to bad for my collection
Ah, finally - a Polybag Promotion that has parts I need.
Thx for notifying us, Huw! ;)
disappointed that its rapunzel...was hoping for something different! Thankfully the ones i particularly want are on days i can get to my local shop!
Typical that the best one's on an expensive Sunday
Does anyone know if you can just collect all the vouchers from the papers and then send them off rather than having to actually go to one of the participating stores? I can easily pick up the paper but not-so-easily get to ones of those stores.
Why must they give the two worst ones on the only days (Saturdays) I can get there?
In previous promotions they have had a send-in address to send the coupons to. Then after about a month or so they send out the sets, one at a time - its a long process. The address usually appears on a leaflet given out by WH Smith - it is not in the paper. Somebody on here will post the details when they appear I am sure.
I will be getting all of them; all the pieces will be added to my parts collection. the Joker minifigure is my prize :)
I got the swamp police chopper and the little garbage cart from an eBay seller, and the only other one I would've wanted was the tractor (which is a brilliant little set).
Tempted by the Joker bumper car, though.
I like that Morrisons is included as I do use them and there's one local to my workplace and one local to home but if it's only going to be a 'superstore' then that's a bind as the nearest one of those is a beggar to get to compared with the nearest ToysRUs.
As an aside, I can have a modicum of fun by suggesting to my son that he could get the Princess one. Gets an indignant 'no' though he could of course pass it on to a friend at school for kudos.
@Huw , I know this is a bit off topic but anyway , in Republic of Ireland Arts and Hobbys are doing BUY 5 GET ONE FREE ON LEGO SIMPSONS SERIES 2 Packs. You can buy a box for €143.55 instead of RRP: €180 , SAVING €36.45! , they have over 10 boxes in my local arts and Hobbys. Do you have arts and Hobbys in the UK?? , if u do and you collect mindfigs series I reccomend you get down there ASAP.
Is it limit one poly per customer? If it is, this isn't good news. I was looking to get about 20 of 30283 for the nice new wheels...
Any chance someone could send me a Helicopter, a driller and a garbage truck?
Is this the order they are being released, or will we find that out on the first Saturday?
Its the selfishly disgusting types who nab 50 sets or more of the more popular ones like the Joker set that make me angry. I've seen a listing for 50 Jokers Bumper Car's with a current bid of £160! Same seller has listed 10 or so Swamp Copters for £80 buy it now and multiple listings of all 9 polybags as "pre orders" for £24.99 per listing...Its supposed to be affordable Lego at the cost price of each Daily Mail per day...but sadly not. It prevents people from buying a nice set easily and cheaply because the greedy opportunist tries to make a fast buck...I hope such "people" get what they deserve...i.e. Unsold bags of Lego....
anyone able to get me this Sundays one, Kai Drifter? as ill be camping and would tradeor somethign if i have something of worth to someone from a previous polybag event
