Didn't win a Bat-Pod? Here's the parts list and instructions

Bat-Pod

The prizes for the Bat-Pod competition that LEGO ran in April are now shipping to winners. If you didn't win but want to try and build it you can now attempt to do so thanks to Reddit user uacrobi who has scanned the instructions and made them available online. The parts list from the back of the instructions can be found after the break.

That's cool they did that. I'm waiting to receive mine just got notification it shipped a couple days ago, though I don't plan on opening it. :-)

Really great of uacrobi to share this. Thanks.

Yes, BrickLink will be your best bet but I suspect the tyres, if there are any still left, will be the hardest and most expensive to get hold of.

I'll have a go at this when I get my collection sorted out. Unfortunately, that won't be until sometime next year.

It's a nice thought of Uacrobi to do this, and one that will be very helpful for the DC SH fans. As Huw said, the tyres might be hard to get hold of, but there is also LEGO's BnP if they appear in other sets.

Moral of the story: keep your Bat-Pod in its box, or it won't be worth a lot.

Tires= $$$$$$$$$$$

Those are the instructions we needed, and the ones we deserved ... Thanks uacrobi!

The tyres were around £8 each on Bricks & Pieces on LEGO.com last night, but it seems they're out of stock now...

By in Malaysia,

even BL also sold out the tyres.

That would explain the mystery FEDEX/Lego tracking number I received via email a few days ago. I'm not sure mine is going to stay in the box. No sense putting a box on a shelf and worshiping it in my opinion. I guess Lego could have sent out 750 boxes of used pinball machine parts and many people would never know the difference! :-)

I'd better buy 2 Tumblers then

Really great to have the instructions, now the difficult task of sourcing the tires for less than ~$40/ea, which is the currently lowest price available on Bricklink out of the two lots that are available. :/

I looked, but couldn't find a way to buy the tires from LEGO directly. Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough, does anyone know if the tires/hubs can be bought from LEGO through PAB?

Gravatar
By in United States,

You can find the tires through other sets Sly.

These particular tires come in the Tumbler (76023) and this set - only

By in Denmark,

Did anyone calculate the BL price of the remaining (non-tires) parts?

By in United States,

Also, the hubs for the tires in the Batpod are grey, while the Tumbler hubs are black correct?

I don't understand this recent obsession with future values of certain sets. It is worth nothing until you it sell and then only what a buyer agrees to. I'm going to open mine, built it and enjoy the set. Those of you that don't open it will have no such joy as all you see are dollar signs. But to each their own.

I'm surprised post the instruction doesn't get them in trouble with Lego. All of the instructions are copyrighted. That's real interesting about the Hero Factory Shields. Except I believe those are in dark gray, not black, which may make them exclusive to these set (for now at least).

Exaclty @dcswo! Doesn't make sense to drop $40/ea on a tire. May as well just buy another tumbler just for the parts and get loads of extra pieces.

Piece 92222 is featured in dark bley not black

Nice to put the instructions and parts list up, it gives everyone one a chance to build it. But Im so glad Ill have the real deal when it finally comes. And there is no way on earth Ill be leaving mine in a box to sit in a corner build it and enjoy it that's what lego is for isn't it?

The actual color for the Bat-Pod is Dark pearl grey which does not make it that easier to find...

@ Neuro
What's the real quote?

Gravatar
By in United States,

And this is why I ordered the pieces I could back in June, when I knew I wasn't going to win one.

Gravatar
By in Slovenia,

People are actually buying these for hundreds of dollars on Ebay ...
Give me 200 and I'll build one for you :D

Gravatar
By in United States,

I was also lucky enough to win one of these, and I don't know what do with it. I guess I'll build it but it feels like lighting hundred dollar bills on fire...

By in United Kingdom,

*sigh* only have the shields to get but cannot justify spending £30 + on 6 parts. There's way to much Lego I want to buy as it is!
