Duck Hunt!

My god. Every single City set looks utterly fantastic. Good thing I saved.

Police chase, ambulance plane and garbage truck look promising.

That rally car... Wow. The spoiler is a bit much, even for a rally car, but still... Police pursuit looks cool (finally, a small, fast car from City that looks right!) and park animals is a cute set.

Oh I need that Reindeer polybag now! So incredibly super cute!
Parrot poly is nice too.

I hope they will do little dog polybag. Like they did with cat.

Technic - Generally the entire lot look disappointing to me - with not a gear in sight. Granted again these are entry level kits.

Creator - Love love love the puppy as it reminds me of my doggies- will have to do some slight color mods. The Ocean Explorer is like a nice mini build compliment to the City line from this year. The other sets are your basic entry level stuff for now.

City - Fire - meh in what I see.
City - Cars - that Rally car is interesting. I'll likely get it to compliment the Speed Champions, but it has a weird look to the rear end. The tiles? Stickers? sure are interesting esp on the front and the minifig has a cool torso. Again a modern take on the Octan logo on the 4x4 minifigs. neat. Ambulance plane. meh. Garbage truck I like.
City - Police - yeah that cruiser is slick. I want to see how the rest of the sets look.

Sorry to dash hopes, but those 'polos' look like flowers to me, which we've seen in trans light blue before as well as the solid colours. Looks like four tags rather than a round rim.

Love the hovercraft in that set though, and that Rally Car.

The 4x4 Off Roader is a must have for me. It looks great. Like the Garbage Truck, Race Boat and Rally Car as well even though that spoiler is a bit much....

Love the Technic racing hovercraft and the Creator sets. City looks kind of ehh...

60106 "Fire Starter set" sounds somewhat Prodigious

For city its nice to get new octan torsos but the starter sets look a lot more disjointed then this years ones.

Also, anyone else think 60116 Rescue Plane might be a remake of 6356 Med-Star Rescue Plane? I inherited my older brother's and gosh I loved that thing when I was a kid.

I love the rubbish truck, looks like it actually has a functioning arm for collecting up bins. I think TLG are slightly confused if they think all rubbish is recyclable though, given the green recycling symbols.

The Technic Interceptor was never intended to be connected with the vehicle in Mad Max. In fact, TLG wouldn't touch that IP with a 10' pole. Interceptor is simply a name for a police pursuit vehicle. Ford has called their Police package vehicles Interceptors for decades.

In a similar vein, I assume everyone who references Duck Hunt and Nintendo licensing is joking. It's just a dog and a duck, pretty sure both existed prior to being in a game.

I can't wait to see the creator lighthouse set having missed the one from a few years ago..

I am liking the dark green wheel arches in the Creator line. Will be getting some of those for sure. Rally car looks great too. Not normally a stickers fan but the graphics look really good on that one. Might try and build an Octan colored competitor to go with it.

So far only Ambulance Plane and Garbage Truck interest me.

Lol, "Fire Starter Set". As a wildland firefighter, I'm not sure I can get behind encouraging kids that direction... TeeHee. In all seriousness though, the puppy and duck set looks great, and I do look forward for the reindeer set. I'll definitely be picking up the rally car as well, especially for those printed round "light" tiles!

@Joefish: It shouldn't be a problem at all on the actual set. The only reason it looks like eight legs here is because it's photoshopped in front of a flat white background. On display on an actual shelf or table, even a white one, the legs will inevitably look a lot more solid.

FYI - I found these in the wild at TRU today, 11/20/15: 60114 (Race Boat), 60115 (4x4 Off Roader), 60106 (Fire Starter Set) & 60116 (Ambulance Plane). Manager has to assist in the check out, not sure if they were in the system yet but got them at retail price, not the normal TRU mark up. Also received the red canoe at check out.

^And thus the 2016 set hunt begins.......
