City Advent Calendar Review: Day 6

LEGO Advent Calendars are sometimes criticised for retreading old themes or even including the same model in two separate years. Today's gift could fall into that category as this wind-up bulldozer is fairly similar to the mini bulldozer included in 2824 City Advent Calendar, a 2010 set and the home of the infamous showering Santa!
However, some huge improvements have been made and this new vehicle is far superior to the original in my opinion. The treads, blade and cab all look superb, as does the key used to wind up the model which is mounted at the back. The key is still a fairly rare piece so it is pleasing that a spare has been included.
I think models of toys like this one should henceforth be compared with those from 10249 Toy Shop. A new standard has been set with those that yesterday's plane did not live up to. Today's model certainly does and would not look out of place among them.
Overall - 5.0 - A fantastic model and one which evokes my favourite City Advent Calendar, 2824.

Is this model not a snow plough?
^At this scale, it's kind of hard to tell exactly what it is.
But it's very cool!
I love this model, but I made one adjustment: instead of placing the vehicle's body so that the front overlaps the blade, I moved the assembly half a stud backwards so that the bottom 1x3 sits right center over the tracks. This makes the whole vehicle look a bit more balanced and makes it an even better build than it already is!
