Two LEGO Architecture sets have been revealed at the Nuremberg Toy Fair this afternoon and zusammengebaut.com have provided us with images of them both.

These are available after the break...

Being a native Washingtonian and proud citizen of DC, I may have to snap up the US Capitol set. I hope it's under a 100 but seeing how big it is, I somehow doubt that...

These are great! Also, Marvel Bridge set is up, check EB Marvel 2016 forum.

Any site I can view Ninjago photos on atm?

Love the Capitol Building, but the size is a concern. Current Architecture fits well on a desk or a small shelf in an office. That looks to be too big for a compact display.

@Forrestorocks Did you immediately recognize it as the Capitol? I live in Northern Virginia and my first thought was, Woah...what's that? I think it might be the dome that threw me off, though.

Nice sets! That Capitol building in particular. @hearitwow: we look to be going back a bit in terms of scale as many of the sets from 4/5 years ago were pretty large...

By in Singapore,

The Capitol Building looks phenomenal! Thank you Brickset for sharing these updates!

By in United Kingdom,

Those are quite large for the smaller scale of Architecture sets. I can't wait for the Super Heroes and Star Wars pics though!

l love the sets. can't wait to get them

By in Spain,

Seems like they are showing the most boring stuff first! (At least for me, haha)

Got to agree with Kaiju here, only the Superhero bridge set has peaked my interest so far. Hopefully we see the more interesting stuff soon.

The US Capitol Building looks like it'll be expensive. I'll definitely be picking up Buckingham Palace though. Love the inclusion of the Routemaster and black cab.

Wow capitol looks great. BP is a bit meh tbh

I'm not too familiar with Buckingham palace but looking at photos it seems the tan plates on the ground need to be more of a dark red. The actual building is so much lighter in color than the surrounding ground that representing it in the same color brick seems wrong to me. I'll just be updating it myself if it comes out tan and tan.

Also apparently zusammengebaut is having too many visitors to the site to upload more, so perhaps we should all give them a break and let them upload? :P

@MeckoGecko, I'm with you on the shape of the Capitol Building Rotunda. Maybe they'll continue with the D.C. buildings and do the Castle and National Air and Space Museum. It would be cool to be able to take the roof of and see a bunch of different airplanes and stuff of the nature.

@HearItWow You're right, it's 56 studs wide. That's almost 18 inches (or 448 mm). Pretty big.

I'm sorry but that Buckingham Palace looks absolutely awful, the colour scheme is all wrong, the real life BP is much lighter, closer to white and the ground in front of it is red, but I cant blame them for that colour because I don't think Lego have a colour close to it at all. All together, I just don't think BP translates well at this scale, especially with that colour scheme. Those olive green plants really don't help either. The US Capitol building looks much better, but its weird to see it with those green roofs so visible.

I think I much prefer the first wave of architecture sets this year, but its good on my wallet, so I cant complain.

I'm not too pleased with the '21029 - Buckingham Palace' building but the rest of the layout is very aesthetically pleasing! The '21030 - United States Capitol Building' is magnificent! Price may be an issue if I wanted to own one.

Buckingham Palace could have been sooo good if Lego could be more accurate. I know it's not their fault, but they could have made an effort with having either the Union Flag or the Royal Standard as a printed piece & by having the Mall red. Also, I know it's picky, but the Queen Victoria memorial is white!!

That Capitol Building though! I love sand green so I will probably get it, but it looks a tad big. In my experience (at least with the earlier architecture sets) the price/piece ratio was terrible, so I'm a bit worried about the price...

I personally think they both look naff. I was really looking forward to seeing Buckingham Palace, but it just doesn't look right to me. I think it was a mistake to include the fountain outside of the gates at this scale. They should either have gone all out with something 3-4 times as big, or not bothered with the road/fountain/etc - such things always turn out blocky at this scale which detracts from the intricate building techniques used to create the building itself.

I'm not all that familiar with the Capitol Building, but the size of the build, particularly when considering the amount of repetition, is far too big in my opinion.

By in Netherlands,

That capitool looks beautiful!

To be honest, the watermark actually detracts from the buckingham palace model XD! It's exactly on the top of the fence/gate. I think it will look better when we see better pictures.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I think the roof on the Capitol Building is way too dark, though I don't know what other color they might have used...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Agree with the general sentiment here...BP is off, unfortunately and the Capitol is great. I also like that its a small skip, hop and a jump to MOC'ing into the Field Museum or other 1893 World's Fair buildings!

I really like the US Capital, and I... don't care for Buckingham Palace. It looks nice, except for how ugly the sideways windows are.

@MorkMan: Image on Promobricks' Facebook shows that 21030 is 445mm long or just under 17.52 inches long. And yes, they also have many other images as well there (no SW yet, was working on Duplo).

I'm probably excited for the weirdest reason for the Capitol Building:

The real life photo used on the back of the set's box shows some statues inside the rotunda. On the far left close to the camera is a statue donated by my home state, a statue of Brigham Young.

Yes I am nerding out for very strange reasons. :)

By in United States,

Well that's impressive! Although, I was waiting all day for Star Wars pics, only to find out that of course, LEGO banned photography of them. Sometimes I get rather annoyed by all the secrecy behind Star Wars. "No photography at the London Toy Fair. Okay, now you can take photos the very next day at Nuremberg." *walks into Star Wars section* "DROP THAT CAMERA! NO PHOTOGRAPHY OF STAR WARS!" I mean, what's the point?

Both look like fantastic sets. I would like them both!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I don't care for the Capitol's dome, and the roofs look strange, but accurate. I still like it though.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Any idea on how much they will each cost? They look so cool!!! :D
