Rogue One: A Star Wars Story product packaging artwork revealed

Posted by ,

The Rogue One: A Star Wars Story teaser trailer was released on Thursday. Now StarWars.com has revealed the artwork you will see on the packaging for merchandise related to the film, including the LEGO sets.

The design features a squadron of TIE Fighters and several AT-ATs alongside a shot of the new dark trooper. I am pleased to see the military atmosphere of the trailer carried over onto the packaging artwork.

We will be covering all the news relating to Rogue One, so stay tuned!

In my opinion, the appearance of TIE fighters in the packaging confirms that we'll have a TIE in the first wave.

Usually they only use one character on the front and little else in the background. This style is quite unique in that area.

Sigh...just bought 9492 a few days ago. This is probably going to be an improved version of the tie fighter rather than a new design considering the movies setting. Here's hoping it's an Interceptor or Bomber instead. Or unlikely, Vader's Advanced TIE.

Now the question will be if this is the new Lego Star Wars packaging from now until there's is a new movie or just to Rogue One sets?

^ @Greendude, a Tie Bomber?!?! Yes please.

^ I'd say the former, because that's what is happening with the Kylo Ren artwork for TFA until RO comes.

^Makes sense thanks also, do you think there will be a new Tie Bomber soon (we have seen a few in a season two of SW Rebels plus it's been a big while since one was made for purchase)?

Are you covering ALL Rogue One news? Or just news that relates to LEGO?

I think that he means Lego-wise, Le-golas. Anyway, in all seriousness, I think he means all LEGO news. And please, those who post after me please do not call Le-go-las stupid or anything for asking what 'seems' to be an obvious question.

I'm excited to hear what the Rogue One sets will be. I hope the sets will fit seamlessly into an OT diorama.
