By in United States,

Just end the series already. I liked this show and the theme at the beginning, but once it got to the overlord and the stone army, i just quit. its gotten really boring and they ran out of ideas.

By in United States,

I'm a huge fan of the show, but the Skybound episodes have been the worst of the series IMO. To me they just seemed like a leftover Chima storyline.

The show has a storyline? I thought these were just long commercials to sell toys.

@DJLeo: Ninjago was one of the LEGO Group's five top-selling themes last year, and it's now considered an evergreen theme like City. It's not going to end any time in the near future. It'd be cool if you gave it another chance, as I think some of the latest seasons have been really strong, but if you've firmly decided that you'd rather stick to other interests that's totally alright. Just because Ninjago is still going strong doesn't mean you're obligated to tag along for the ride.

@lordofdragonss: Wasn't it explained that Nadakhan's plan required him to be married on Djinn territory?

@The Green Brick Giant: Darn right the show has a storyline. It's arguably one of the most story-driven LEGO themes out there. Of course, there's no disputing that it's created to sell toys, same as plenty of other cartoons like Transformers, My Little Pony, G.I. Joe, He-Man, Thundercats, TMNT, etc. These days it's hard for cartoons to succeed without some sort of merchandise angle. But the LEGO Ninjago story by Dan and Kevin Hageman is remarkably strong.

I reviewed the Season Five DVD set here on Brickset back in February: http://brickset.com/article/19491/review-ninjago-masters-of-spinjitzu-season-five-dvd

I saw most of the Season Six episodes when LEGO had them on YouTube (sadly the last two were region-locked), but I plan to watch them when they air on TV as well!

Huh, Ninjago's not my favorite either. I thought it started really strong with the whole Ninjas vs. Undead thing, but all the regurgitated Bionicle elements (pardon the pun) in the storyline have kind of put me off. I have yet to watch the season with the ghosts though, so maybe it's improved since I've last watched.
But hey, there's no denying the sets are cool.
