BIONICLE: The Journey to One returns July 29th

Posted by ,

The Netflix-exclusive series BIONICLE: The Journey to One debuts its second and final batch of episodes on July 29th, reports the BIONICLE Facebook page. It will be dubbed 'season two' internally. This is following the show's launch back in March, when the prologue and first two episodes became available to stream.

Check out the promotional poster and then read on after the break for a Umarak the Destroyer character video...

Who else is excited?

I haven't followed Bionicle since the first time it was cancelled. I understand that the "new" bionicles are the originals...so why is Pohatu in the front? Tahu was clearly the leader and Kopaka was second...so why is one of the lowest ranking Toa Mata in the front?

@kipper147: The Toa in this particular poster are presumably arranged by their importance in the current story arc, not by any sort of rank. Pohatu has been a very important character in the episodes of "The Journey to One" that have been released so far, so it doesn't surprise me that he will continue to play a big role in this year's story.

Also, while the new Bionicle characters are re-imagined versions of the classic characters, this story is not a continuation of the old story, so several aspects of the classic series have been altered. Tahu is still the de facto leader, though, and he did take center stage on the previous "Journey to One" poster released back in February: http://brickset.com/article/19546/bionicle-the-journey-to-one-trailer-and-poster-revealed
