LEGO has uploaded images of three Christmas sets this week: 40205 Elves' Workshop, 40206 Santa Claus and 5004420 Toy Soldier.

The latter will be a gift with purchase at shop.LEGO.com from the 1st of November in North America and from the 12th in Europe. The other two will presumably go on sale on the 1st of November.

Would have loved that the Toy Soldier be a minifigure in a special box, as it stands, there is no incentive to order right now until the May the Fourth.

Well they are a massive disappointment, last few years have really spoiled us. What's happened to the Snowglobe? 40223 that's the set we all want! gonna get another of the 24 in 1 build thing though

These are hideous... what a let down of a year for seasonal sets

^^ Snowglobe is the GWP over BFCM. No new images of that have surfaced.

What happened to that reindeer whose image surfaced at the beginning of the year? I would buy him over any of these.

I'm not gonna use the word "hideous", but they just look so ... awkward and weird. The toy soldier, I just don't get at all, although there's some nice and useful pieces there. So there's that, at least.

Compared to the Halloween seasonal set (Vampire & bat) these are masterpieces.
Pretty good pieces in the Elves' Workshop set.

they've been giving the reindeer away to anyone with a Premium Ticket at Brick Live at the NEC in Birmingham, its in the Bag they give you in the Premium area

Not overly excited about any of these although I do kind of like the Santa figure. As has been said before it sure would be nice if Lego would start making those grey pieces they use for joints in other colours!

The Elves workshop looks rather nice. I'm still looking forward to all of them!

What pieces is everyone looking at in the elves set? I see a terrible set with some common pieces, and a Super Hero hammer and some painting supplies. Both of which have been in very cheap (and a lot better) sets before.

That said after a year of horrible holiday sets at least Santa is the best of the odd.

Huw, what is 'GWP over BFCM'??? (Guessing here) Gift With Purchase over......? Pardon my ignorance!

Any thoughts on those flesh coloured pieces? They look pretty rare and worth getting the sets just for those.

Looks like the "eyes" have it for this years Christmas theme!

I'm not really into the brick-built figure LEGO is releasing this year. I'd like to get the toy soldier & the snowglobe looks amazing.

VictorvanSchagen - flesh? You mean the tan bricks used as skin color? I'm not overly excited about it. The best parts in the Workshop I can see are the paintbrush set, but I have a lot already. Otherwise, pretty standard pieces. I could probably makeshift those sets on my own.

The new photo of the Elves set looks much better than the first one released, but I still think I'll pass on it. Santa isn't bad--I love his moustache!--and the Toy Soldier is cute in a rather weird way, but the snowglobe is definitely the pick of this season's promotional sets. Given I'm still chasing after the GBHQ, dithering about Ewok Village, and drooling over a lot of smaller Friends, Elves, and Ninjago sets, perhaps it's just as well. I need to be buying on 2x sales at a minimum and ignoring other promotions!

I would describe these as absolutely humorous. As if TLG was going for a Wallace and Grommit look. In fact, all they need to do is rebrand them and voila!

Picked up 40205, 40206 and 30474 Reindeer poly at Legoland Florida last weekend.

Much more enamored with the free gifts with purchases this year. I like that the gingerbread man is back like the chicken suit man was, I think the snowglobe will be great, and the advent build a day should be fun. Better than any of the purchasable advent calendars and these uncomfortable things.
