Is that a red version of the 1x1 round plant piece in the Azari Escape set?
These look cool! I'm especially wowed by the friend set- both the boating and skiing subthemes look amazing! Favorites are 41324, 41317, and 41318.
Also, any news on the Ragnarock sets yet?
@CM4Sci Yup! That's what it looks like!
^^ Weren't on display.
Might have to get the boat transporter just for that sports car
P.s. the new minidoll life jackets look WAY better than the minifigure ones
The friends sets actually look pretty good, this coming from someone who has despised them because I think it's stupid they have to make shopping malls and bakeries just to get a girl to play with them.
But what the heck is the water feature in the first set? Is it supposed to be a wave? Cause if not the lego engineers need to take a physics class. Lol
The biggest (and probably the most modern) hospital in ages is a Friends hospital. Lego need to reduce the amount of pink of Friends sets, so the buildings can fit in the City theme if you swap the minifigs.
@brickhelix
It is probably representing choppy seas (which I see quite often)
Oh look a hospital, wake up City.
Wait, so the first appearance of Snow White is a Juniors set??? I suppose I'll actually have to buy that one if I want her mini-doll.
Loving the Hospital and stuff, but that Catamaran is just a re-make of the Dolphin Cruiser with a different basic boat propelling design. In keeping with LEGO Friends of late is the remakes of sets.
Not saying anything I'll leave the decision up to you! BUT doesn't my FRIENDS CABIN IN THE WOODS: http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/392379 posted July 12. 2014 look a lot like the SNOW RESORT CHALET? And it was being considered by LEGO IDEAS, I never got around to correcting the 3 photos they asked me to!
the little one has put the Friends Hospital, Ariel and the Magical Spell and Snow White in the must buy list......it is only February and the Heartlake Hospital is shaping up to be the main Christmas present.
The Cinderella set is maybe, with her already having the previous Disney Princess, and Juniors carriages.
Kyrodes, the hospital itself literally has three pink pieces... three!
MrMouth1117, your cabin looks NOTHING like the one LEGO made, NOTHING LIKE IT! I mean they both use brown pieces, and thats where the similarities end.
Friends continue to be the best LEGO theme. It's very weird we didn't get Snow White in the Disney CMF series and even weirder we get one is a $15 Junior set.
I think it's kinda funny that Friends has a new life jacket design, when the flawed design of the current City life jacket would be more appropriate for the minidoll's skinny necks. :P
The catamaran looks good, and I love the hospital! I see some nice details inside like a skeleton, an examination couch, and large overhead lights for what is presumably an operating theatre...
REALLY cute minidoll for the Snow White set! Love Cinderella's Enchanted Evening, too.
I just noticed the hospital includes a medivac helicopter, a baby and a doctor. This Friends wave looks great!
@BrickHelix: LEGO doesn't HAVE to make shopping malls and bakeries to get girls to buy them. In fact, they've had only one shopping mall set in five years — there have been more schools and robotics labs in LEGO Friends than there have been shoping malls.
At the same time, what is really so bad about a girl-oriented theme including these things if girls genuinely like them? There's a nasty tendency in society to assume things girls like are vapid and frivolous unless boys are also interested in them, and some of the criticisms of LEGO Friends also fall into that trap. People criticize LEGO City all the time for being repetitive, but almost nobody accuses it of reinforcing gender stereotypes, even though with its unflinching emphasis on cars, trucks, and emergency vehicles it obviously does. The idea there seems to be that EVERYBODY should like the things boys stereotypically like, but even girls shouldn't like things girls stereotypically like.
Anyway, the catamaran set is brilliant and I dare say it might be the next Dolphin Cruiser! I love the overall structure and also the banana boat! The hospital and chalet are also brilliant. Lots of great stuff to look forward to.
I usually buy City and Creator. But I must say, the Friends sets might be the best theme this year. The ski sub-theme sets will work perfectly in my Winter Village layout.
All the Friends sets are cool and well designed (surprised that there aren't any pocket money sets?). The beach subtheme reminds me a lot of Paradisa. I'm especially interested in Sunshine Catamaran and the Hospital, of course.
Elves is kinda 'meh'. We already got Pegasos and dragons, and the Goblin King's Fortress looks bizarre.
Ursula really doesn't work well as a minidoll. She's a very plump character which the minidolls obviously are not, so... Yeah. Cinderella's new carriage is much better than the older one. The Snow White set is just really great: easy way to get the character.
Loving that hospital, been wanting to MOC one for ages, I'll go for a MOD instead. But glad to see its pretty neutral colours!
Jeuj cheap snow-white, good, so I can get the hairpiece for my sigfig :) I'm getting used to minidolls populating my city but can't in all honesty use one for my sigfig (sorry) so the hair will have to do for now.
@MrMouth1117, sorry, but your submission looks nothing like the Snow White set, or really any set released thus far. Not a bad piece you made, but by no stretch of the imagination can you say they're similar. Yours looks more like a Creator set than anything.
The Snow White set looks really nice for such a small set.
Cindarella's coach looks much like the old one.
The Katamaran looks like a nice variant of the Dolphin cruiser.
I will definitely get the Goblin King fortress for parts. They look awesome.
@Aanchir very well put, thank you. My daughter really likes the friends line as do I. There are some lovely sets and great variety, my son who is 10 often plays with his little sisters sets as he likes all the different buildings and activities.
Gotta say, the ski slope set is really, really odd. All that for the tiniest little ski slope. I get they can't exactly have you build a whole mountain, but it just looks bizarre this way.
Quite nice stuff overall otherwise. Not much I'll buy personally, but one can still appreciate a good set!
I have to say I'm disappointed with the Goblin King castle. It appeared much larger from the previous toy fair images, but it just looks so incredably small now. I love the color and everything, but I just wish it was more grand like Ragana's castle.
Is the Advent Calendar a joke??? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I see only 1 minidoll? The Friends Advent Sets get more pathetic with every passing year.
I sorted out all of the Friends LEGO pieces from the first three years into bags. Brown/tan and white are by far the most used colors in Friends sets. Blue and Green (of all shades) each earned their own bags. Yellow and black/gray were in a smaller bag. Red (including red-brown), purple, and pink (of all shades) all shared one single bag much smaller than the blue and green bags but larger than the yellow and black/gray bags. Friends has never been overly pink.
The Friends sets are amazing. I'm bummed Olivia's mother doesn't make an appearance at the hospital as she is a doctor.
I unfortunately have to agree that the Goblin King's castle is visually disappointing. I get that the goblins are short but it's the king's castle? Sophie looks disproportionately gigantic in that cage.
Oh I just noticed that the Disney sets are rebranded as Disney Princess again, the name change didn't seem to last very long?
The hospital from the Friends theme is really fantastic. Looks like it has lots of detail.
@LukeSkywalker they're branded as Disney still, Disney Princess is a subtheme (as are Frozen and Moana because they aren't "officially" Disney Princesses yet)
Yeah the theme is Disney with a sub theme of Disney Princess. Before it was the theme Disney Princess. It makes more since because there is LEGO Junior: Disney Princess, and there will be LEGO Junior: Disney Cars 3 sets too.
My daughter's have a collection of lego friends, Disney princess and elves sets so at least 5 of these will be welcomed into our house.
The friends summer sets look better than the January puppy theme sets .
And finally a snow white set, it's worth buying just for the minidoll and animals included. I,d buy that goblin king fortress for myself it's awesome.
I also like Ariel,s New one with Ursula. Well done lego.
Woah is this the first Friends Advent calendar to be actualy good?
So excited Ursula, Snow White and fairy godmother yay!
After quite a few lacklustre Friends sets in recent times, these all look awesome imho*. Especially the catamaran and of course the hospital. And if you don't like Friends, just replace some of the colours and voilà, instant great City hospital.
*except for the Friends advent calendar. This will actually be the first Friends advent calendar we won't be getting. Looks even worse than last years, which already was bottom of the pile content-wise. Our older daughter was so disappointed that she said she wanted a Playmobil advent calendar this year, as those have always been awesome in recent years.
Genuinely think a minifig Ursula would have captured her shape better :p
I actually think my eldest daughter will really like this friends advent calendar because it has so many animals. It had better have some decent builds hidden inside though as it does indeed look sparse even taking the animals into account.
@JonMarten: They already made a minifigure of Ursula in the Disney blindbag series. It does look better than the minidoll version.

Thanks.
Is baby Ola a new baby style? Ursula does not work as a minidoll.
I am a bit disappointed since the chalet looked bigger to me in previous blurry photos. I really want a chalet/ski slope done a larger style more detailed version, but I will probably still get these. Perhaps I will see if I can modify them. I can not believe we are finally getting a hospital. The advent calendar I thought was bad before, but is quite ridiculous now. The catamaran looks wonderful and love the surf shop. I do like the green on the elves set, and suspect that will be a wanted set here.
Thanks.

These look much better than a lot of the other covered sets. I realize the target audience for this website probably isn't heavy on the Friends/Disney themes, but they are a welcome sight, especially compared to everything else.
I will likely pass on most of them, but I will likely pass on most other themes too, so it isn't a knock against Friends. The sets continue to look refreshing and colorful. Hopefully some of the hospital designs will go well with a MOC hospital.
Elves continues to has interesting colors/pieces, so I will pick up some of them outside the set. I don't care much for the Goblin king's castle. I did like Ragana's castle though.
And I agree about Ursula not working well as a minidoll. The CMF figure was spot on perfect for her though. I understand why, but at the same time I don't.
Wow, Friends really is everything I'd like City to be, the sets and themes are so much more interesting and they're really detailed too. Just a pity about the minidolls instead of minifigs.
Great sets! That catamaran is colossal and my growing city needs the hospital for the medical accessories (can't wait to see the inside). I love the ski theme although the actual ice rink portion of Snow Resort Ice Rink is quite a bit smaller than I'd prefer and the Snow Resort Chalet isn't as epic as I had mentally pictured. I really like those Elves sets too. Now to convince my daughter she needs these sets, que evil laugh, hahaha.
PS @ MrMouth1117: Not to be MASSIVELY sarcastic, but... OMG you're right! The two are practically and literally identical! This is an outrage! First the stolen Ghostbusters Headquarters design and now this?! Lego no longer has any moral standing in their design department. Sad.
I quite like the small Snow White set probably owing to its cosy artwork with forest and all.
The Arielle underwater set also appeals to me, though I've never seen the movie nor do I otherwise have a connection to it (except that I have the crab's name in common). The build is not particulary great but there is a variety of maritime and aquatic stuff going on there which I like.
Of the Elves line, I like the castle quite a bit; not so much the bright colour and the "wormhole" on the roof but the drawbridge and gothic windows are neat.
However I never got into the regular Friends theme and this wave doesn't change that.
i like them all but, Elves with swords? i don't think the Elves are ready for that.
TLG must have been working on a Snow White set for quite a while. I remember seeing a Knock-off minidoll on Ebay 2-3 years ago.
Also, the goblins look too cute to be evil.
I love these sets! Finally, we get minidolls in winter clothes in larger quantities. And all the Disney Princess sets are a must buy for me :D
Thank you for posting the images. From the number of comments it seems like a lot of people are interested in seeing what these themes will be releasing, even if they don't plan on buying them.
I will definitely be getting the Disney sets and a large number of the Friends (winter theme and hospital) and Elves sets.
@M_blockhead_357: I think the goblins are largely meant to be more pesky and mischievous (like the rock monsters from Power Miners) than outright evil. The Goblin King, on the other hand, is a megalomaniac and uses mind-control to command the goblins for his own nefarious ends.
Baby Ola is hilarious. Looks like a butterfly cocoon! I like the chalet. Think I might want that!
I like the friends sets this summer.
So this year we'll have a Pets Advent Calendar, but still no Elves Advent Calendar... :(
