Detention Block Rescue instructions
Posted by Huw,
If you didn't get to this year's Star Wars Celebration in Orlando or, worse, were there but didn't 'win' the exclusive Detention Block Rescue set you might be interested in trying to build the set from your own parts.
If so, a Brickfinder reader has photographed the instruction manual and the site has compiled the photos into a downnloadble PDF.
Looking at the parts list (on Brickfinder and not in the PDF for some reason) there doesn't seem to be anything too exotic among the elements so there's a good chance you'll have most of them already, or can obtain them from BrickLink fairly cheaply.

Lovely! I've had some light grey pieces out for a while in hope that someone would publish instructions. That's my weekend sorted!
Very nice! Thank you very much for the link! I saw the promo pictures and knew I wanted to build this!
Thanks for the instructions. I'm probably not going to build this, but it's a cool little set. I wish they sold this at stores.
Thank you very much! My son and I will certainly be giving this a whirl using my old bricks.
That's neat! Thanks! Excited to build this set.
Thanks for the instructions, I will spread the news as I am sure a lot of people will find this helpful by the way, have you seen the trailer for the final (tears) season of SW Rebels?
Awesome! This was very helpful :)
Cool!
Very cool of that person to share those instructions, thanks! Cool little set.
Very cool
thank you ;-)
Thank you. I was one of those that was there at the convention, but between myself and some friends that also applied for the lottery to try and get one for me, we had 15 entries and none of us won a golden ticket to be able to buy one. I was very sad.
Many thanks to Brickset for providing the link, and to Brickfinder for providing the instructions!
Awesome sauce! Cheers to all involved in getting these out.
Yeah this is great. Thanks much for offering these instructions! Hopefully this will allay the sadness some folks feel. I know that feeling and it sucks.
I find I am very conflicted about this set, I have built replica's of all three (6176782-1: Escape the Space Slug, CELEB2015-1: Tatooine Mini-build, SDCC2015-2: Dagobah Mini Build) sets and found them to be unparalleled in scale and details.
Somehow I found this set to be a bit... disappointing.
It is a bit bland and un-inspired as the other sets. I am still most likely going to build it for my collection, as a collection needs things you love and things you don't... if for no other reason than to have something to talk about :)
P.S. thanks for the instructions.
Hope to see something a little better next time. Can't wait for the T-47!
Hey all!
Question: If we wanted to add this to our brickset database, what number/name would we enter to search for it to add to our collection?
