Posted by Huw,
Toys R Us Hong Kong has published pictures of 75191 Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive.
The set contains four minifigs: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jango Fett and young Boba Fett with mini legs, plus an R4-P17 Astromech droid figure.
It's exactly ten years since LEGO last produced a set featuring a hyperdrive ring, 7661 Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive Booster Ring, however the design of the ship and the ring on this version are quite different.
The price in Hong Kong is $1000 which equates to about £100 and US$130.
The full set description and box image are after the break.

I still don't like that they use those dishes under the figures - they aren't included in the actual set!
The jedi setting off for adventures in the far reaches of the galaxy was my favourite aspect of the prequel trilogy, so this set is perfect for that purpose. It's unfortunate that they couldn't make it without the transparent support structure, though...
the dishes get edited out for the official release images.
This set is pretty cool.
^^^ I don't think it's a support structure so much as a play feature. It may very well be possible to remove those clear technic pieces for display purposes...
When the description specifically called out the "mini legs" on the young Boba Fett, I thought maybe they'd finally made mini legs that could hinge like regular legs.
Set looks great but I'm disasppointed there is no Kaminoan.
Ooooooh yes! Day one purchase right there!
What is all the fuzz about the mini legs? Do these 'mini legs' have joints for articulation, like the regular minifig legs? It doesn't look like it?! >>> So they are just kiddy/dwarf legs.
Anyway, I love this set! It's pretty EPIC!
As Jango is included we're not likely to see a new Slave 1 to go with it are we? :-(
Somehow I've expected to be more amazed by this set, which I'm not. It doesn't look that great.
Does anyone know how much the clone turbo tank costs in Hong Kong? This doesn't look like a £100 set.
I haven't got the original so we've been waiting quite for this kind of set. I'm not convinced by the Starfighter, but I like the hyperdrive ring!
Very pretty and on the "want" list, but not at £100 and I can wait until it's on discount.
Also to make the price more bearable should have included a Kaminoan.
That set looks awesome I wonder what episode it's from?
In this movie there were no Kaminoans.
@TheLegoFan - This Vehicle made it's first (and very brief) appearence with the hyperdrive in SW Episode II.
But! Does this star-fighter have a spare parts cannister?
@TheLegoFan from Episode 2: Attack of the Clones, hence the inclusion of Jango and younger Boba. Hence also why myself and others were hoping to see a Kaminoan mini-fig.
Okay why are they saying warp speed.... it's actual light speed or hyperspace whatever you prefer, they use warp speed in Star Trek and not STAR WARS!!
What's the piece count? I couldn't find it...
Looks awesome, but it will be really expensive : /
Not known yet.
£100 for that! It is WAY overpriced...
The actual pricing for other regions will be interesting, as we know prices are not just an exchange rate from one location to another, and from an outsider looking in are somewhat confusing.
i.e. looking at US pricing
Rathtar Escape; HKD 799.90 which would translate to USD 103, but is priced at USD 79.99
Arrowhead; HKD 799.90 which would translate to USD 103, but is priced at USD 89.99
So 75191 is; HKD 999 which would translate to USD 129, so pricing likely to be between 99.99 and 109.99
It's an amazing ship but I would have raised the price up and include the Slave I like the Republic Dropship and AT-OT.
Nice addition if you collect the star wars ships but it's about £ 60 over priced, like the latest version of assault on hoth and the less interesting new landspeeder.
Looks pretty sweet! I had always wanted the old one when I was younger.
I'm still mad Lego didn't reveal the Saturn V yesterday . . . They did a teaser every Friday morning around 9:00 AM EST for three weeks and then yesterday they gave us nothing :/
Well the HK$ is roughly $10 to £1GBP. Soo at $1000HKD, or £100 this set seems kinda expensive, as going by the 10p a piece average, it'd mean this should be a 1000 piece set. It's something I'd rather pay around £60 for so massively overpriced IMO, unless as AussieSamuari points out, the location pricing will put this much lower.
However, Hong Kong Toy's r Us lists the y-wing at $650HKD, which puts it in line with the £65 it costs on the lego shop price.
Mini-legs? Definitely just the standard short legs so whats the fuss? And really.. how hard would it be to make proper mini-legs that do hinge?
Clear handle is definitely Meant to be a play feature, but looking at how this is constructed from technic pieces with the blue round pins, I'd say it is also structural.
Nice looking and an improvement over the last version, but think I'll wait for it to get discounted to buy it.
Do obi wan and boba have new hairpieces, or is it just the same prince of Persia hair again? Looks slightly different but it could be just the way the image looks on my screen.
@LukeSkywalker it's the same hair as before
The new torso for Obi-wan looks great! Love to see these accuracy updates happening so frequently now!
Obi-Wan as I see is almost the same as sw489, but with a head from sw704.
There looks to be at least 250 little technic pins in this set alone, if not more as I can only see certain angles.
So the piece count may be really high.
$130?! This had better have a LOT of pieces in it, because I'm not seeing the value there... the play features seem limited, there are only three actual minifigures, and something about the starfighter doesn't actually look very good. Also, I'm curious as to whether or not you could fit Obi-Wan's Jedi Interceptor into that without severe modification.
This would have been a perfect opportunity to include Jango Fett's Slave One! Sure, it would have increased the price, but it would have made the set even more worth buying. I'm not so sure about the price; this set doesn't look like it has 1,000+ pieces. I would estimate a maximum of 800 pieces.
On the whole, however, I think this set looks awesome and I hope it is.
Wow, $130 seems absolutely insane to me. Makes me wonder if people are looking at this set with Star Wars rose colored glasses. I guess that I'll have to see it in person.
Like others I am disappointed that there are no taun we or lama su minifigs. They have enough screen time that they are deserving of a minifigure. I also would have preferred to see a price increase and seen them include jango's slave I. Set does look good, but could have been so much better with additional minifigures.
I have the old model and you just can't play with it. Everything on the ring keeps falling off when you try to "fly" with it. I had to put it away because I got tired putting it back together after the kids played with it.
Looks cool, but I'm a little disappointed that the droid doesn't fit in place like on other ships, and you have to manually take his head off to place on the wing and then store his body within the ship.
I was excited when I saw this headline as I missed the first issue of both the Delta-7 and the Eta-2 with the ring but looking at the kit my excitement has been unfortunately dampened. I'm not worried about the high price as I rarely pay more then 50% of the original price for most kits as they drop eventually but it's the design that really puts me off. The Delta-7 is a very poor design the cockpit pod at the back looks bizarre not blended in like on the real ship (or Legos own first interpretation) and the stud shooters at the front are far too pronounced ruining the lines of the ship. The ring is OK (I'm not worried about the clear parts I understand their necessity) but the engines are too big and don't taper towards the front which makes the effect worse despite parts being available to mitigate the issue.
If I see it very cheap I may pick it up but it's a shame this is such a miss as we are unlikely to see it re-done in years to come.
Awesome to see one of these again. Price sounds a little ridiculous. It can't be that much bigger than the last one
I will echo about the price. It seems absurd for what you get. But then again that's LEGO SW. I've never seen a good priced SW set, unless it was on sale already.
The set looks good overall, but I wouldn't pay that much. I'll look into bricklinking young Boba maybe. He looks sand blue instead of medium blue like the Advent calendar I didn't pick up.
$130? I'm hoping this won't be the truth. Geez.
At least there will finally be somewhere to store the rest of the astromech body on the starfighter, the days of having headless astromechs are over!!!
Unfortunately for us British LEGO fans we must accept that prices will tend to be higher nowadays because of you-know-what. It is a shame because I have been waiting for this for many years and have even made a number of my own designs of that particular ship. Unless I can get it on a major discount I will probably not be able to afford it.
I must say I think LEGO's design of the starfighter is strange. It's really just a recycled version of 9498 Saesee Tiin's Jedi Starfighter. The cockpit protrudes much to far out of the top. I also think the real version is flatter.
It looks like TLG is still not able to build Obi Wan's Starfighter with a proper droid placement. I have the UCS version of this ship and just like on that 10215, this one can carry the round upper torso only :)
Nevertheless this model will be a good fit to the Slave 1 UCS since both are MF size.
I am not a huge fan with the clear support pieces and the Starfighter doesn't look the best. But on the other hand, the mini-figures are good and hopefully the price will be also.
Dishes under minifigs???! huh,what dishes??
In the 7661 Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive Booster Ring (2007), the Eta-2 is about 162 parts leaving 413 parts for the ring (575 total). In 75135 Obi-Wan's Jedi Interceptor (2016), the Eta-2 has 215 parts, so comparing these two Eta-2's to measure the increase of detail over the years, we can assume the new ring will be about 550 parts. A very similarly designed Delta-7 was released as 9498 Saesee Tiin's Jedi Starfighter (2012) which has 244 parts, so adding a few parts to account for increase in detail, we can guess the Delta-7 be about 280 parts. Adding the assumed amount of parts for the ring and Delta-7 gives a total of 830 parts. This matches very nearly to 75156 Krennic's Imperial Shuttle (2016) which has 863 parts and is priced at $89.99 / 99.99€ / £84.99. The estimated price converted from Hong Kong is $130 / £100 which is very unreasonable given the amount of parts and will more likely be priced like Krennic's Shuttle.
@AstroDroid
When I looked at a couple of the other new sets in Hong Kong, which we do have pricing for in USD and looked at price ratio (rather than FX rates which is where the $130 come from), I think the US price for this set will probably be $99.99
In the words of Bill Murry from What about Bob: "I need! I need! I need!".
@AussieSamurai
I saw your comment above which estimates the price based on other sets' exchange rates. I found the price based on parts to see if it matches up. It's pretty close to your estimate, so we can safely say that it will not be the outrageous price of £100 and US$130.
Judging from the price of a-wing Vs tie advanced on TRU Hong Kong it would probably cost about £85. That is within my budget and enough to justify getting it simply because it looks really cool.
@Speed champions fan
Who knows with the UK pricing
Looking at some of the recent Star Wars sets, we have Y-Wing, The Phantom, A-wing, Battle of Scarif all more expensive than the US price.
Gonna wait until price goes down £100 is too expensive.
I like the update to Obi-Wan's Starfigher, although the Hyper Driver Booster Ring is hideous (especially the not so clear handle portion). I was holding out on getting the last one just because the aftermarket price is pretty steep and I knew this one was coming out. However I'll still keep my eye out for a decent deal on the old one and hold off on getting this new one, especially if that price of around 100$ US is accurate. If that is the real cost then this set is rediculously overpriced, as it looks to be no more than a 65$ set.
Cool, but I think it is too overpriced. Can't wait for last jedi images. The trailer was a bit puzzling.
They did a really good job with this one. I can't wait to pick one up when it's released!
I'm seeing a lot of complaints about the droid attachment. The Delta-7 Model of the Jedi Starfighter only had a droid head. The droids never had bodies on this model. The Delta -7B had room for a whole astromech, with body attached, as seen in the clone wars. The model seen for Obi-wan in Attack of the Clones, and for Plo Koon in Revenge of the Sith could not have a separate Astromech, as it was built into the ship. Please consider this before you complain about the droid situation.
The model looks more like the TCW Jedi starfighters than the AOTC one to me - much more angled.
130 dollar... 70 dollar might be a fair price.
Any idea of when this will be released? Will it be released June 1 like the summer sets?
The Delta 7 honestly looks horrible. In the movies they were sleek, with a low profile. Here it looks stubby and absurdly bulky. The cockpit sits way too high above the body and I hate the fact that they "had to" use stud shooters.
The ring looks like Lego choose structural soundness at the expense of it looking remotely like the actual thing. As many have said before, If your going to charge a hundred dollars, go ahead and charge two hundred and throw in Slave One or the docking pad.
These are the same mistakes Lego made with many of the recent Star Wars sets. I fully understand that Lego is a toy company whose primary target is children. But I don't believe many parents are going to continually shell out 100+ dollars on toys. AFOLS are the group that is however more than willing to pay over 100, if th set is worth it. Not sure who's Lego's marketing team is, but they might want to go back to the drawing board.
Wait 10 years for them to remake this set so I can get finally a Kit Fisto minifigure and the remake is not only way more expensive, it has Jango and Boba instead. ='(
Will we ever see a Kit Fisto in a non-mega-expensive set?
So yea for finally making a Mk1 Booster Ring but boo for making it really Technic-y and unfinished. Would it have killed LEGO to add a few more plates to cover up all the ugly stuff?
It looks like a WIP MOC!
Interesting that only one other person had noticed the use of the phrase "Warp Speed" rather than "Hyperspeed" - I think the copyrighter on this set description should've perhaps triple checked before publishing?
In terms of the set alone, I'm extremely unlikely to buy the set at £100. It looks like I have those minifigures, and if one had a new unique element I could just Bricklink them. I'd rather not spend on getting that massive ring unfortunately.
I really, really, really want this!!!
I really like this. I have been waiting for them to make a new version of Obi-Wan's star fighter from Episode II for a while. However, I also wish they had included a Kaminoan figure. Does Jango Fett have any new prints that set apart from his 2013 rendition?
This set is a must for star wars fans, but the price seems really high.
I wonder if Obi and Jango are different from previous versions
It looks way too big in my opinion. It looks awesome, but its just isn't the right scale. I would rather pay 50 bucks for a 400 piece set in minifig-scale than a bigger 1000-piece set costing 100.
I wouldn't pay $130 AUD for this, let alone $130 USD. I also couldn't agree les that this is quite different to the 2007 version, the ring structure is fundamentally the exact same design, a design which wasn't exactly spectacularly good back then, and is just bad now. The docking area is different, but certainly not good. This is coming right off my wanted list
Looks very cool, but I really am in love with the box art!
Are you going to get official images for the other summer sets? Considering they are on the site...
Great set looks fantastic only bad vault in this set is the Star fighter that r4 head has to be taken off and placed on the wings (other star fighter you can place actual r4 Droid in side the wings ) but looks fantastic
I think it looks like a decent set, and I don't mind the handle on the ring at all. What I do mind is that the Starfighter does not look the one from AotC. It looks a lot more like a CW version.
Honestly, they should have just bumped the price to $200 and made a UCS version to complement the Slave 1 that came out a few years ago.
Looks like a decent set. But since I don't really collect Star Wars, the main thing this news means to me is that summer store exclusive sets are apparently starting to make themselves known. Hoping we get news about the mysterious fourth Elves summer set soon!
The last hyperdrive ring was $50 USD and came with Kit Fisto. Would love to get this since I'll be getting Jango's Slave I soon, but not for $130
Looks like you pay for the Hyperdrive as a main model with the starfighter added in as a secondary measure.
Nice set! Was already looking out for the blue interceptor with hyperdrive boosterring but now I'm going to pass on that and buy this when it comes out.
Phew. Im not the only one who wants those hideous Kaminoans.
£100 for a previously released starfighter and a Jango Fett from 75015?
Massive pass for me.
I'm fairly underwhelmed with the design of the actual Delta-7 Starfighter. The cockpit is way too bulky in my honest opinion. A problem that is present in many other Delta-7 sets such as 9498 Saesee Tiin's Starfighter. The 7143 Jedi Starfighter still looks more accurate.
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY
Meh. I could do better. In fact, for the price of this set, I'd go back and buy the old one instead. It's way cooler. This one just looks thrown together...
@AgnetBlueX3 --totally agree. This starfighter was always a very simple design but I've always loved it for that sleek look. This interpretation looks kind of silly. I guess I'll always be partial to 7143. It's not as studless as today's designs tend to be, but they got the shape right (and folding landing gear!).
Isn't that the same little Boba that came with the Advent Calendar? Lack of a new or cool minifig + a clunky looking set IMO means I get to knock one off the wanted list, which is always a good thing ;)
so close yet so far, why does Lego continue to mess with a good design? the ring is great but the ship design is all wrong! for this reason its coming off my "wanted list".
The minifigs are all new except for R4-P17!!!
Jango's torso is a darker color and his hips have more silver printing on the sides (compared to sw468 from 2013). Boba's torso and legs are now dark azure and have different crease prints on his torso (compared to sw468 from 2013). Obi-Wan looks to have the same legs and hair as sw489 from 2013, but has a new torso and head. R4-P17 looks to be sw706.
I'm so excited for this version! I have the old version, but that one was very fragile and had an Eta-2 instead. This one has a Delta-7 (my favorite ship) and the ring's stability is vastly improved. Also, the engine lights are the correct color unlike the UCS Delta-7. Like many of you, I thought that this Delta-7 and Saesee Tiin's Delta-7 looked disproportionate, but after recently rewatching Attack of the Clones, I think the design is pretty accurate. As for the stud shooters, they're too large, but at least they're where the real cannons are.
? actually, obi-wan's head appears in obi-wan's Jedi intercepter. Although it is seriously impressive, especially the headset!
^ I think you're right. I initially thought that Obi-Wan's head was different because there's white printing on his mouth, but it was really just showing the alternate side of sw704.
