Mercedes Petronas F1 Team gift set
Posted by Huw,
A new Speed Champions set has been discovered on eBay.
Called 75995 Mercedes AMG Petronas Team Gift 2017, its name suggests it's been given to team members so therefore will be extremely rare and hard to get hold of.
It's a great way to acquire the team's F1 car without needing to fork out for all the unwanted stuff in the much larger 75883 Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team set, so its limited availability is unfortunate.
If you're quick you can buy it now at eBay for the very reasonable price of £17.
Thanks to Richard fo the news.

Unsurprisingly, that Ebay listing's already sold out.
Pity it is driver number 44.
Is this literally one of the cars from the big set.... it looks to even use the same picture as one of the "more images" .......
I talked to the seller and he relisted more of them, you're welcome
I think they might of sold out (again). I'm sorry for getting you're hopes up again. Maybe the seller has more as he seems to sell in batches
^^ You're right!
It is the same image! Lets hope ids not a scam!
If it was an exclusive car I would have been interested.
I saw a thing on TV at one point where the Ford racing team competed to see who could build the new Ford GT model faster. I sort of wonder whether this set might be intended for a similar promotional purpose (considering that this car otherwise only comes in a larger set).
i have confirmation that this as an official set. If you go on Lego bricks and pieces and type in the set number it comes up
Nooooooo! So much for 100% speed champions completion. Ugh!
Actually what I really need from the set 75883 are the two cars with the drivers and the pit crew members. The rest is useless for me, so this set would have been just the perfect set for me.
It's a pity they use regular green on the car, a dark or light turquoise woud have been the right choice.
Can you post a link pls to the ebay listing? thanks.
Loved that sarcastic ending for this article. For a rare set this is a good deal though.
