Justice League sets revealed in German catalogue

Posted by ,

The 8" square consumer catalogue for the second half of the year is turning up in German toy stores and Promobricks has posted images of three hitherto unseen sets that are featured in it: 76085 Battle of Atlantis, 76086 Knightcrawler Tunnel Attack and 76087 Flying Fox: Batmobile Airlift Attack.

View all three images at Promobricks.

LEGO hasn't published a digital version yet but I'm sure will do soon.

Maybe its just the image angles, but the Justice League sets really don't excite me at all.

No, those sets look really awful. I like the parademon figures, and such, but the Atlantis set is nothing more than a couple of odd looking columns and some figs (which is what Lego normally does for underwater civilisation-themed sets, but it's still disappointing), and the two Bat-vehicle-themed sets just look really, really odd.

I can safely pass on all of these.

But then, I kinda think "Justice League" is probably not gonna be that great anyway, so, eh.

Aside from Steppenwolf and the parademons, I think I'll be passing. Kind of uninspired for such a "big" film. Box art looks great, though!

By in Australia,

These have been floating around for a little while, so I've had some time to let my initial thoughts settle and none of them have grown on me. To me, they either look ugly (76086, 76087) or in the case of 76085, way to lacking for what I assume will be a 40-50 dollar set in Australia. The vehicles are probably accurate to the designs from the movie though so it's not really Lego's fault.

Oh and don't look at 76087 if you don't want spoilers for the movie, although it's a fairly obvious one :)

The Flash looks really great I've collected all the Flash thought out all the Lego sets

I like the helmets on the guys Aquaman is fighting. Everything else looks like they are trying their best with designs that don't translate well to the brick.

By in Sweden,

Is it just me or does Battle of Atlantis look extremely tiny? The figs are cool, but the build looks nothing like what you'd expect in a €25 set. However, I'm not excited at all for the other sets so I might buy it.

As usual I'm only interested in the figures but and as others have said there's a few new good figures in there but surely there must be others from the film to make them more exciting.
I love Batman as much as the next geek but after the masses of sets he's had lately I'm at risk of overdosing!

Let's all sing it together!

EVERYTHING IS AWFUL!

Wait that's not the song. But damn these are some truly bad sets and 25 Euro for four minfigures and not really anything else makes Star Wars sets seem like a good deal.

Yet another reason I pass on the superhero movie sets from both DC and Marvel. They're always lacking in one way or another. Just have to hope that the characters they have created from the movies make it at some point in their comic book or cartoon form.

Pretty awful sets, but at least the figures look fantastic. Might be a case where I'll buy myself a Flash figure (my favourite Justice League member) and leave it there.

Ninjago on the other hand is going to bankrupt me all of a sudden, and I've never bought a Ninjago set in my life.

By in Finland,

I have to say that Knightcrawler is pretty much the most bizarre Super Heroes vehicle ever - and that's not an easy record to brake!

These sets share the same color palate as the DC movies, making them drab and ugly.

Solid pass.

Is it just me or is there NO Cyborg minifigure in any of these sets.
Tell me if you find him, cause I can't.
-_-

Atlantis will be great.

By in United States,

The figures look cool, but idk if ill get the big ones, i might just get the one with Aquaman just to have one. :/

Gravatar
By in United States,

@BrickHelix Cyborg in in the biggest set show here. Just google and find the images that were realeasd a long time ago

The Atlantis Showdown set isn't bad per se, just not good value at what I assume from the Euro price will be £20 or possibly £25. I'll wait until a few months after the film is no longer in cinemas and interest in the set has died down. I'll reconsider the set when it's around £15.

These more or less follow the general (though with some exceptions) Superhero template - amazingly hyper-detailed fan-pleasing figures with virtually non-existent or overpriced odd vehicles. There is however something I quite like about the idea of a flying vehicle that can drop a Batmobile into battle, Fast and Furious 7 style. The Knightcrawler is also, to be fair, much better than many of the other Bat-vehicles we've had before outside the Batman Movie theme!

I dunno, for some reason the bug villain figs look kinda cool and would make for an interesting army. But not interesting enough to get these sets. :P

By in United States,

The knight crawler reminds me of the giant spider with roller skates in Harry Potter: Prisoner of Azkaban

I really like the Steppenwolf bigfig, and the Atlantis set has great colors so I will buy the set with no minifigs on ebay for the Lego, and then get the set discounted, because the figs are awesome.

A lot of people don't know this but Batman invented the black pentagonal tile.

By in United States,

The sets suck. I despise the largest of the sets.

I'll be ordering Flash off of Bricklink, but that's all.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Knightcrawler looks like a horribly dumb spider - whoever came up with the design on the movie's end needs to be fired, that is the worst LEGO vehicle I have ever seen.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Well, one more line I don't need to spend money on so I can spend it on the Ninjago movie sets instead.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Yikes, this just screams... hokey, to me. The sets AND the film : /

Seeing the images months ago, my thoughts haven't changed seeing them again. Some of the figures look decent. The sets are an easy pass. I'll have to wait for a really good sale OR see how much some of the figures go for in the aftermarket. I can see some of them going for a lot since there are so many complaints of the sets. They might not sell well.

By in United States,

Just like the Thor Ragnarok sets, what a disappointment. The builds are meh, but they do include some good figures though

Gravatar
By in United States,

They should have called the middle set "The Scuttler". :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Seems to be what they're relying on with these, that the minifigures will sell them to people. While people like the minifigs, I know myself at least also wants a halfway decent set to go with them.

@BrickHelix You can barely see him, but I think that Cyborg is the one flying the big ship in the largest set.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wow! I saw superman in one picture!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Looks like Bruce "I Have One Rule: No Guns" Wayne AKA Batman is packing many, many guns. The Flash fig is cool tho.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

@Rad-Hatter - Shhhhhhh! Don't spoil the entire movie plot!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

@PhoenixBrick - I thought Batman's one rule was that he wouldn't kill people, and that's what I disliked about that Batman v. Superman movie. He killed a LOT of people. Mercilessly. With and without guns.

By in Germany,

And I had hopes after the nice WW set but all these don't look too nice.

Gravatar
By in Brazil,

Boring sets and terribly ugly vehicles. Who would've thought that Batman Movie vehicles would be better than the "official" ones. I'll buy the WW set and I'm done with DCU.
