Images of The Last Jedi sets now available
Posted by Huw,A number of toy store webshops have published pictures of The Last Jedi sets and I suspect they are all over Facebook, Reddit and Imgur by now as well, judging by the emails we've started to receive about them.
Even though they are now as good as in the public domain, they've been published ahead of the embargo, which we believe is September 1st, so we won't be displaying them here or providing links.
Search for Lekmer or Planeta Klockow if you wish to view them.

FOHAV and Transport Pod are my definite buys. BB-8 is a maybe
Resistance pod for sure, plus probably first order scout walker and maybe kylo ren's tie. I want the heavy assault walker but it's presumably a bit expensive...
Argggh!! 75177 FOHSV is really awful. We will see if it is fault of Lego or Disney... Rey BF is much better than previous version (she looks like to Daisy Ridley at last!) and BF Chewie looks charming. The rest ones don't like me to much, but it will be necessary deeper reviews.
UPDATE: Kylo's TIE looks also pretty good, and the BB8 bad twin is great!
The Brothers Brick have published images of some of the sets, and it sounds like they had the official go-ahead to do so. Maybe Disney are relaxing a little?
Not overly amazed by these. The prequels may have not been as good as the OT but the ship designs were impressive.
Nice, but it's a shame they're all such big sets. Also Lego is getting pretty stingy with the minifigs here, those 3 biggest sets are all around the £100 mark and none of them come with more than 6 minifigs. All these sets look pretty good however, the Tie fighter in particular.
The heavy scout walker is weirdly cool looking so I'll probably get that.
The Resistance pod... it looks a hell of a lot like an altered version of the pilots cockpit from the Resistance Troop Transporter 75140 set.
The Star Destroyer looks far too simple on the outside, and the inside of the wings makes it look really ugly to display open.
BB-8 is too blocky for my liking.
At the prices for the Heavy Assault Walker and the Resitance bomber, while I like them, can't see myself buying them.
This wave just isn't as good as the previous movies.
Nothing to get excited about in this wave, but interesting that they have started arriving in Aus, with embargo stickers blazed across the pallets
I'll get the BB-8. My UCS R2-D2 needs company. :)
Not too exited about the other sets. I would love to get all the minifigs but I'm not buying such big sets only for those.
I love the sets. Agree a little with FARLANDER. I don't think 75177 is awful, just more a little weird. But must buy BB-8. He looks fantastic.
I must also collect the Buildable Figures. Chewbacca is amazing.
I am so angry that there is no luke figure
There must be a Luke minifigure in the second wave, right?
We won't publish pictures or post a link but we will tell you exactly what to search for. A tad grey methinks
Well if they are releasing an UCS BB8 that means no UCS Falcon till at least next year
The Resistance Pod is a definite yes from me. I haven't got Finn yet, and the set looks cheap. The First Order Star Destroyer doesn't look too bad, either, and I imagine it would compliment 2014's Imperial Star Destroyer well. Ninjago City comes first, though. Assuming I have the resolve to save the $500...
^^ Agreed. Won't post the pictures or links due to your adherence to LEGO's embargo, but absolutely fine to tell us exactly how to find them?? What a very, very weak leg you have to stand on. I'm disappointed brickset.
I agree with Poppy 2612 that telling people where to search and what to search for is generally the same as providing a link...
Having said that: Looks like a new canopy in the resistance pod? In trans-yellow? Yay! Now I just hope these are stickers so I can use it for Classic Space...
^^ Yes it is fine.
The source of the leak is a 'LEGO partner' -- a retailer -- so we would be within our rights to publish them here, and I see that other major LEGO fan sites have done so. However we chose not to because it would almost certainly result in us being contacted by LEGO's lawyers which obviously we prefer to avoid.
Telling you how to find them is perfectly acceptable and I don't believe that anyone in LEGO would disagree.
After all, we *want* you to see them but can't make it easy!
^^ C'mon Huw, just post those pictures. When we're done, I know a hornets nest we can throw rocks at!
My favorites are the star destroyer, heavy assault walker, and tie fighter. What can I say, I like first order craft.
^^ It's not that hard to look up what's been given. They're just trying to avoid trouble, unlike The Brothers Brick who are clearly looking for it...
Seriously excited about some of these sets...that BB-8 is fantastic and Kylo's tie! Looks just menacingly awesome! In all honesty I will be picking up both walkers as I think they are a neat mod/next gen to the ones in the original trilogy. Oh, and I'm a big fan of the constraction characters, well, the ones that are helmeted. Vader and Kylo were great and I like their choice of the tie pilot. So may greats sets at once! My only gripe is that I'm not at all impressed with the rebel/alliance/resistance releases...not a sexy one in the bunch (this goes for the Force Awakens sets as well).
LEGO is now demanding that sites take them down, e.g. https://twitter.com/Zusammengebaut/status/890908739582164992
Kylo's TIE Silencer is a my number 1 set
Also love the First Order Star Destroyer and First Order Heavy Assault Walker.
..... unfortunately for me they are not the cheapest.
I am disappointed with the minifig inclusion, the absence of Phasma and most particularly the absence of Luke.
Yes Luke will come in the 2nd wave sets, i.e. an Ahch-To battle/training set (I am sure Wave 2 will also include a Crait Skimmer) but it would have been great to see his inclusion in one of the sets.
So glad there is not a single set I want in this first wave of TLJ . I am a huge SW fan, but none of these sets are a must have for me. I shall be keeping my money in my pocket until a new USC Falcon comes along. I predict that will be the one set that will have the new Luke mini figure in it too.
^^^ Surprising nobody :P
Also the BB-8 may be a UCS model but it's not a D2C so there's still one coming
I'm interested only 4-6 episodes and Rogue One, but BB-8 looks really nice. I want to have it on my bookshelf.
I liked the set images (especially the FO heavy Walker and Star Destroyer) but I am not investing any more cash in the sequel trilogy Lego sets unless it's a polybag. I love the new movies thought.
Prior to the recent leaked images of the character still, the first idea of what Snoke looks like when he is not a hologram came from a Lego minifig.
If you are going to release merchandise 3 and half months before your movie, given merchandise production and shipping and associated lead times, and how many more people are involved in those processes than a movie leaks are going to happen.
I would have imagined Lucasfilm had planned the trailer to come out in mid August just before Force Friday, in which we would see Snoke in the trailer, but to my earlier point in this day and age that is unrealistic.
With the Vanity Fair official shots, they were somewhat on the front foot (except for the Praetorian Guard and Snoke), I wonder if they will learn some lessons re their approach to merchandise going forward......
It seems Luke is still not getting any scenes in Episode 8 since he's missing from the first wave. What a shame :)
Lego lawyers are not Lego Fans they come from galaxy far far away :)
Bye Bye money!
Definitely going to get BB-8 to accompany my UCS R2 :)
Some sets that appeal to me is:
75177 First Order Heavy Scout Walker
and
75176 Resistance Transport Pod
The reason that set 75177 First Order Heavy Scout Walker appeal to me is because the design of the legs is based on Theo Jansen "The Strandbeest"
I appreciate the discretion.
These same pictures have been floating around the web for a few months now, why is everyone just now sharing them and talking about them?
The Resistance bomber looks amazing, I will probably get it along with the Resistance Transport Pod and The FO Scout Walker in December (I want to build them just after I've seen the movie).
However, the Swedish pricing on these sets is just ridiculous. Sad, I was really looking forward to this wave.
Were are the pictures for the sets?
Only set I would consider buying befor seeing the movie is the star destroyer. That's only because i missed buying the last two plus this one has snoke in it. However $150 is too pricey so I will wait for it to go 20% off
I only read the first few words of the artical and sai: well finally, I've seen these sets for months
That black with trans-red TIE fighter is gorgeous! The spaceship junkie in me says I must have it!
I don't understand why the pictures may not be released. I thought the pictures was officially? I wrote and posted about the pictures earlier. I didn't got anything from LEGO but my site isn't very known yet. I was lucky that I saw some comments later here and then checked Zusammengebaut. I just took the post back so not many would see it.
When will the pictures be officially then?
The sets look great.. and not so great. I'm sort of glad that I'm not more excited for these sets, since I already desperately want more Lego than I'll be able to afford in a year w/the release of The Old Fishing Store, Apollo V, Ninjago City, Destiny's Bounty, and the Carousel.
Unoriginal vehicles, hardly Lego's fault. No Luke Skywalker minifigure though, so that's wierd.
I think Kylo's TIE is the best looking TIE ever.
I'm glad they've started giving the constraction figures necks! They look a lot better.
The Resistance Pod looks nice, and has some excellent minifigures, so that looks to be a must buy. FOHSW looks interesting... I'm definitely going to need more images to decide though. Kylo Ren's TIE looks fantastic, and hey, they got the colors right! BB-8 looks great, and the other three still look fantastic.
As for BFs, Tie Pilot and Chewie look fantastic! But there's something off about the Praetorian Guard and Rey.
It seems like spring-loaded missiles are becoming like the old flick fire missiles. They seem to be slathered on everything now! Thankfully most are easy to take off. As for the sets, I'll probably be getting the Scout Walker and the Pod b/c they're the cheapest.
I really like these - which is bad.
The Heavy assault walker and BB8 are a must, I quite like Kylo's tie and the destroyer is more and more appealing the more I look at it. The Scout walker also looks really interesting.
No Luke or Leia in this wave... so I think I'll pass, it's a shame, :-(
BB8 doesn't appear to have a UCS logo on the box and whilst looks like a nice set, doesn't look to have enough bricks to warrant a UCS badge so there's still hope for another big UCS set later in the year or perhaps early new year
I didn't intend to buy more Lego Star Wars this year, but I won't get around that BB8 :-). Have to see about the Chewbacca figure though.
As already said: it doesn't seem to be Lego's fault that they couldn't come up with nicer looking vehicles for the new movies. These walkers look bizarre.
@FARLANDER
I quite like the scout walker. It looks like a cross between an AT-ST and an octopus.
Woah Kyle Ren sure went in for an upgrade. And BB8! Might have to get one.
I kinda like the Rsistance ships even though they're not as unique as other SW vehicles. Between these, the skimmer, and the troop transport, there's a Resistance aesthetic being established that is very distinctive.
I feel that this a pretty mediocre wave. Don't get me wrong, I like all the sets except for the FO Scout Walker, BB-8, and the buildable figures. (Which I've never liked, so it's not really a flaw for this wave in particular.) No Luke (yet) seems like a huge mistake to me and the minifigure selections are particularily weak. Not to mention the price per piece ratio not being that great, especially in comparison to the new Lego Ninjago Movie sets. I am definetly going to wait for all of these to go on sale.
This wave on the whole seems very well designed. That's not to say I love all the sets, but there's no denying that these are of very high calibre!
The new Hux is a big improvement over the last. I may get the set just for him.
I have to say, this wave is proving to not be very popular, possibly because it's really diverging from normal Star Wars sets, something people wanted from TFA.
@nate-dog7 It looks like the General Hux minifigure is the same as the last one, he just has Obi-Wan Kenobi's hair.
Looking at the stud size ratio, is it me or does the FO Star Destroyer just seem...dinky? It is gonna look like a shrimp next to even the last Falcon that came out. Coulda shoulda been a wee bit larger.
Something about this wave is not doing it for me, aside from Kylo Ren's fighter. Something about the FO esthetic isn't clicking with me yet. I hope we get reviews a bit before these hit the street =)
