UCS Millennium Falcon available now!
Posted by Huw,
The biggest, heaviest, most expensive, anticipated and hyped-up set is now available at shop.LEGO.com!
The 7,541 piece set 75192 Millennium Falcon can be yours for £649.99 / $799.00 / 799.99€.
Here are direct links to the product page. You'll need to be logged in as a VIP to be able to purchase it:
USA | Canada | UK | Germany | France.
The set will also be available at brand stores but we are hearing that most will receive fewer than a dozen so unless you're there early and you fancy carting a huge 14Kg box around it's probably easier to order online and let the delivery guy take the strain.
We have no evidence to suggest that it'll sell out quickly online and go on backorder but based on past experience with other highly anticipated sets it would not surprise us if it does. Therefore, you might want to get your order in promptly...
Our sample arrived on Friday. Here's how we'll be publishing our review:
- This morning I'll post information about the packaging and box contents
- Later in the day I'll post the first of two articles covering its construction
- On Friday or Saturday we'll discusss the minifigures, and
- On Saturday or Sunday we'll consider the completed model.
You can read the set's description after the break, and view dozens of images and the designer video on the set details page.

Our LEGO ID® service is currently unavailable. Please check again later.
Already ordered it. Can't wait for it to come!
Server error! Nice!
Are the minifigs interesting enough to warrant a separate post? I don't think so.
Envy you for the building experience, but not for the added pressure of documenting and posting it :)
yep - it's down: VIP unavailable. Nice one TLG :-(
Bought before the website crashed :)
I got as far as getting it into my bag and going to pay for it and now its disappeared again :(
Unbelievable S&H is again not able to deliver a nice shopping experience. Down, errors, ....
"Sorry, but...
Unfortunately, something seems to have gone wrong with our LEGO® ID system.
We have logged the error and have already begun investigating it. However, the error may be transient, so you are welcome to try again."
Hopeless.
@peeters I would be interested, how big actually the demand is, I am not going to buy it, just wanted to check it out, but the fact that the some element of the LEGO.com page craps itself every time there is a major release, is just pathetic. One would think a company this big could afford to build a sturdier webshop...
Too late. Order process is horrible. Stalled at payment process. 2nd time this month LEGO is disappointing me. Last month I bought Boost set with missing bag which costed me two iterations to get the right bricks send to me. This is so far a bad start for the new Millennium Falcon :(
I'm going to Watford as soon as the store opens, hopefully theres no queue there.
They actually became available about half an hour before this article went up. Good thing I was bored at just the right time, I managed to get in before the VIP service crashed. Hopefully my order actually worked, because I still havent been emailed a receipt.
They told me they fixed it! I trusted them to fix it! It's not my fault!
I love it in this day and age when the IT team becomes sales prevention! Lego don't even have a CIO!
Well that was unexpected... 'service is currently unavailable' :(
I've taken the (albeit hard) decision to wait now for double points/promotions before picking this up. Super jealous of those that have one in the bag though! Really wanted that black VIP card.
Purchased the set with Paypal... its showing under my payments although the LEGO store has booted me back to the payment process? wonder if I have managed to get a set
Poor show from a big company like this that their servers do not work when demanded. Funnily enough this site before logging on is showing an ad for the new Royal Mail Star Wars stamps coming out soon
The black VIP card should be available until the end of the year, so you might be lucky.
I saw it! It popped up for a split second! And then phffffffft.... The ID server went ka-bloo-ee.
Sorry! An unexpected error has occurred. Please call customer service. (code: server)
It's been like this for me since before 8.30 (here in Norway) :(
EDIT:
Now it's on backorder!?!
That didn't take long :(
Looks like I'll be waiting for double VIP points before I attempt to order it again.
Grrr worried now, payment showing on paypal... no order number, no confirmation and booted back to LEGO order screen after payment taken
Misleading title, should be 'UCS Millennium Falcon available now if you are very lucky!'
I'm completely logged in with my VIP information, but it's still showing available October 1 for me!
Just got mine :)
Same here @james-hopkins. I know it sometimes takes a bit of time for the Lego receipt to come through, but getting a little worried
Got it! A lot of refreshing and reentering of Lego Vip account details. Eventually I logged in but it wouldn't add to cart. Then it wouldn't proceed through the ordering steps. Finally done though! Will relax once I get the email.
Edit:
Woop woop - in warehouse now!
Logged in via an old VIP email after 40 mins, now have order number and saying "in process" was trying from 0723 vaguely optimistic but will chill when shipped. Update as of 08.57 in warehouse.
Standing outside meadowhall 12 in line no idea how many they have
Got it!!!! Keep trying everyone, think they've just put the website back up again
It's not yet available for the US LEGO.com VIP... still shows "Coming soon on October 1 2017" as the release date.
Backorders accepted, will ship by 1 Oct 2017
Finally got the order in, but "Backorders accepted, will ship by 1 Oct 2017".
@myscrnnm, same here. It popped up available for only a split second. Might've been a fluke. Now only getting 'Coming Oct. 1st' and 'Add to Wishlist'. Maybe they are going on sale a little later here in the US.
@CaptPantaloon / james-hopkins Same with my order got through to payment screen eventually & got LEGO.com order number. Had the same trouble as everyone else. Ended up using PayPal and went through ok Got confirmation from PP
My Millennium Falcons are "In stock"! Yay !!!
Arghhh...
"Backorders accepted, will ship by 1 Oct 2017"
Shepherds Bush have 30 in stock. Six of us queuing currently.
I was between first successfull orders. I don't have any confirming email but my internet banking says the transaction is blocked so I hope everythings fine.
EDIT: I'm able to log in again and my order status is: IN WAREHOUSE.
@Gimbal_Lockd I really hope that's the case. I swore I saw posts on Brickset somewhere in the last hour from users based in the United States saying they were able to put in their orders. But looking back, it looks as though I was mistaken. This gives me hope it just hasn't gone live in the United States yet.
But the fact that the website is being sluggish, has logged me out several times inexplicably, is constantly giving server errors, and saying the LEGO ID system is not available is not reassuring.
What a pile of pants - less than 60 mins after being released already on back order - looks like another Saturn V fiasco
Worlds biggest toy company and their website is shocking and so is stock availability
Also now on backorder. At least its reserved. Will now look how things progress. If it looks like it is just a hype I will cancel it and wait for double VIP. @TLG this is how consumers think and what you get if you throw around promotions, make things hard to get. It wastes my time and your customer service time.
Has anyone actually received the receipt from Lego themselves, rather than payment confirmation from a bank/Paypal etc?
@myscrnnm, per comment from phonciplebone on another article, sale in the US starts 8am EST and that info is per a LEGO tweet themselves. So I'm gonna go with that and get some sleep. Hopefully we can score one before the ID server goes down again.
@CaptPantaloon - no official Lego receipt as yet - printed the page as and when I got through the ordering process - I went through PayPal and there was a slight worry at the payment processing where screen hung for a moment but VIP points have been deducted and order is listed as In Progress on order page so, fingers crossed!
I've just ordered.
Also no official receipt.
Also my BB-8 was in back-order and I got no shipping confirmation. Seems that it has been shipped yesterday. I could make use of the 3x VIP points I got from the BB-8 order. So that was OK.
edit: The MF is in back-order now. Will ship on 1st of October.
edit again: Just got my official Lego receipt for BB-8. :)
Got on at 7:15, added to bag but then 'server error' at checkout. LEGO then stated the item was available from 7:30, but couldn't even login to the site at that point, or at all in the next 45 minutes.
Logged in 5 minutes ago but its back order only, unfortunately. I've still placed an order as at least I'll get it, just a bit later than I would have ideally liked!
@goonfish
same, made express shipping. hope this gets me an "in stock" :-) 800€ so whatsanother 18€ :-/ if outta stock i cancel anyway
My order went through at 8.08 French time :-) I kept refreshing my page this morning until it became available... Can't wait to receive it! For those who didn't get it yet, I am sure it is just a matter of time before they replenish the stocks.
Yeah same here @goonfish although I forgot about the printing the page - good idea! I have the payment receipt from Paypal just patiently waiting for the Lego confirmation.
Totally agree @legobrix73 - uncomfortably reminded on the Saturn V fiasco
Sold out on site here in France. Orders accepted but shipped 1st October! Just hope they anticipated a bit its success and won't have issues just as for Saturn V! GG for all of you who have already bought it with orders registered and confirmed.
I checked at 7:50 Belgium time. Not available.
Checked again at 9:15 and ordered right away.
Checked again after reading some comments here. 9:40 -> MF in back-order!
This is turning into the Saturn V situation really quick.
I don't understand how such a huge and experienced company as TLG has not anticipated that the biggest and almost most expected set ever released would be first day purchase for so many fans and that stocks are already out... Another Saturn V fiasco as Legobricks73 mentioned? I cannot believe it...
Yeah, I was considering waiting for a double VIP points day to get it, but now I'm thinking that won't be even remotely possible.
I love how someone has left a review of it even though they haven't even got it yet.
People are so weird.
Just went to the site to check my order status ("in process") but shortly after my login won't work again. Looks like they are still having trouble.
It'll be interesting how close LEGO are able to get to the "back orders shipped by 1 October" deadline!
Now the shipping status for new orders is "Backorders accepted, will ship in 30 days".
*Gets out popcorn and settles in his comfy armchair*
This is so funny, watching all these people losing their minds about getting a Lego set ASAP, when the more patient and rational among us will wait for Black Friday or some other double/triple VIP points / promotion before ordering. Same with the Saturn V. I still haven't gotten mine yet, but come Christmas I will certainly have it standing in full glory on my display shelf.
Patience is becoming a lost virtue I am telling you.
But to each their own :-P
"We have no evidence to suggest that it'll sell out quickly online and go on backorder but based on past experience with other highly anticipated sets it would not surprise us if it does. "
Colour you unsuprised as its now on backorder with delivery in 30 days after 2 hours on sale in the UK.
Just wondering did anyone else get to the point were you actually get on screen confirmation and print of a copy of the reciept or save a copy with the LEGO.com order number on
Too bad you don't get anything free when you buy it now! not even a little polybag!
SOLD OUT online in the UK! :O
nice to see there now 'new listings' on ebay! prices starting from £750 upwards.
I was waiting at 7.20am to purchase one for myself! no luck
I wonder how many people have purchased the 'limit' of 3.....
The limit should of been 1 for VIP's
The whole point of being a VIP of Lego is to be someone who enjoys it - you wouldn't need to purchase 3 of them to enjoy it....
it seems being a VIP is simply a way being an early bird salesman!
I am a Star Wars Lego collector and have purchased and built my sets - I have over 90 of them. I am now seriously not bothered about this set by the hype its created and the fact that people are using Lego to make a quick buck!
Now showing as completely sold out! Haven't had a receipt yet but my order status shows in Warehouse so fingers crossed.
Also 'sold out' in NL (and presumably in other EU-countries served from the warehouse in Belgium).
Was able to order at 7.15 UK time, and my order has status 'In Warehouse'. Sounds excellent, but no confirmation mail yet. Hope everyone interested will be able to get one when they start producing more.
Same with me. I will receive mine. But you guys are right, early VIP Access only one per member
UK site indicates Sold Out :-(
Last set just gone at Meadowhall. They had 32.
Some people are buying more than 1. Someone at watford got a second with a second VIP card after getting one at Leicester square last night.
Logged in. Added one to bag. Got server error. Clicked add to bag again. Another server error. Refreshed the page and it logged me out!
40 minutes later, I managed to log back in and add it to my bag. Went to basket and I had 3! So it had remembered my clicks from before.
Removed the 2 i didn't need and bingo in the warehouse.
Happy, but worse off :-)
Mines been 'In process' since 8:10 - bit worried its not moved to in Warehouse!
Says "Sold out" in Germany as well.
We'll see how soon it becomes available again, as the next production run is done.
And even if not, there's always "trusty old" Lepin:
05132 at the ready
;-)
check eBay, theres one going for £1000 on eBay already with 25 bids http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/24HR-ONLY-LEGO-Star-Wars-UCS-Millennium-Falcon-75192-Limited-Edition-IN-HAND-/282651498406?epid=2218823372&hash=item41cf5797a6:g:soQAAOSwZ~lZuQph
Status: Waiting for new stock. :(
My experience with ordering Lego online is a bit limited, but must say that I am really surprised that the set sold out only a couple of hours after first being available.
Considering the Saturn V case and the obvious hype and interest around this set it seems almost unbelievable that Lego would have so relatively few in stock for launch.
Of course, it probably would have helped had they limited VIP purchases to one per member, so strongly agree with that sentiment.
Just rang up customer service. They said its three per household in store apparently so the scalpers are really taking advantage. They said theres no word on when it will come back but rumour is NOVEMBER!!!!!!!
Whats the betting these are back in stock conveniently after double/treble points
I got backordered by the time the site was up and running again. Same when I ordered Saturn V on May 31th, I also got backordered on the site. But still I got it 3 days later :-) Let's hope the same thing happends with the Falcon. What I don't understand the price difference between Germany/France (€799,-) and the Netherlands/Belgium (€849,-).
I really hope the Lepin crap gets dealt with by a TLG lawsuite. That's just so wrong... stealing in plain site with a smile. Shame on them!
It still says "coming soon" for me. Hopefully later this morning that will change. It's only 5:41 my time. Will have to check back after my morning workout.
Just looked on Ebay
There are already signed ones on there.
Really disappointing for all those who made the trip and didn't get one.
Got one from Sheffield, UK. Was waiting from 7:30.

"They said theres no word on when it will come back but rumour is NOVEMBER!!!!!!!"
Oh my god! The HORROR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
;-)
The German LEGO.com is now back to "Temporarily out of stock", from "Sold out" just an hour earlier.
I think they have a random status generator that displays whatever status it wants. :-P
Got my order placed, got the confirmation from PayPal and the status in the Lego shop was “in progress”
Now it says “cancelled” :(
That’s bad luck :(
Four hours after official VIP release and it is already out of stock here on French site version. It's a bit a shame for those who want to buy it I think... I don't understand Lego strategy on so expected sets... Same issue as for Saturn V : they should have anticipated this? Or am I too exigent?
I'm logged in as a VIP but I'm not able to purchase it. I'm waiting for double VIP and a nice promo anyways... but I thought I'd at least check it out today.
Those people waiting for a confirmation email. Don't worry. Lego takes ages to send out confirmation emails. If your order is 'in warehouse' you should be ok.
And the moment I posted above.... I got a confirmation email from Lego :) Spooky...
Got also just now my confirmation email.
got mine on US store. called support exactly at 8 and was only on hold for 10 minutes. was able to place the order before the online store updated as available. then saw it immediately crashed.... so happy , been waiting for years to get this!
Yep, got my confirmation too.
As of 8:18 CST the ordering system is still down. I got as far as the Paypal confirmation page a couple of times, but it won't transfer back to Lego to complete the transaction. I was able to get into the queue for phone support about an hour ago. They just answered, and a very nice lady named Wendy who is no doubt about to have a very bad day said that US customers crashed the US website, and then the calls started, and stuff began to transfer to and fro globally and now the whole Lego worldwide system is down. The UK only managed to crash the UK website. But America, well, when we crash, we take the whole world with us. Go America!
Well, never mind. Order went through, but it seems to be a backorder order. I was clicking continuously since 8AM EST to put through the order while the website was wonky, but apparently some others must have gotten through first. Must not have been many sets available. Oh well. Anyway, if you're still trying, it's gone to backorder status already.
So many Falcons appearing on eBay.... How very sad...
i don't think i would have had any luck if i didn't call right at open and wait on hold while trying the website. guy on the phone said i was the third person he talked to and literally my call was immediately following a previous call in which i got the "we aren't open yet message"
my advice is take that backorder, at least you will get it sooner than anyone else. lego usually ships them earlier than they quote
This whole story is bizarre;
- People queuing from late morning yesterday for the midnight launch in London
- Lego's website crashing at 7:30am GMT when it became available
- website saying sold out with literally a couple of hours this morning
- sadly, as already mentioned, large numbers already appearing on eBay at hugely marked-up prices (and receiving bids)
I appreciate it is what it is but you can't help feeling money-grabbers have swooped in to ruin the launch for true fans. One per VIP may well have helped.
Well, my order is completed and shipped. Not really shipped but have tracking details :-)
Somebody is selling the Falcon for £2000 on Bricklink!!!!!!! And they don't even have it in stock yet!!!!! Crazy times......
i just looked on eBay, this is disgusting.
Massive number of fans wanting the most massive, most massively hyped LEGO set ever. Massive lack of stock. Massive fail
i also saw a massive amount of negative comments regarding this set being re-release. maybe they were all from resellers?
As well as one per person, it would have helped to be able to preorder it, Lego would have then gained an idea of the potential initial demand. I'm sure it's been possible to preorder sets on occasion in the past.
Ordered this set at 8:40am it was on backorder at the time. Paid with Paypal. Got a receipt through PayPal. Got a call from my bank asking if I made the purchase. I verified. I checked order status and it didn't show up on LEGO.com. Took my order number and typed it into the system and it couldn't be found so i wrote Lego an email to confirm the order because their phone lines were so busy there was a busy signal instead of an automatic message. Called back at 11am and waited 49 minutes on hold for Lego to tell me my order was not placed and that they could not even put me on a backorder list because the list was too long. Absolutely unacceptable.
what can be done about the resellers? after all this time they still get away with it. i'll even forgive people that buy one set and hold it for 5 years because that took some amount of effort and discipline, but these people are instantly flipping these like they are amiibos.
Unfortunately, very little can be done. As far as I know this set was only available to VIP's through the LEGO internet store and their physical stores where one account could purchase a maximum of 2 or 3. But resellers who have multiple accounts, names, addresses, credit cards, etc. which make it extremely difficult for LEGO to regulate. In fact, it would be a massive undertaking for LEGO to even track it. Reseller sites like Ebay can't do anything unless it can be proven the items up for sale were obtained illegally (at least here in the US). The only way I can think to combat the resellers is just don't buy their items. But alas, there'll always be someone willing to pony up ridiculous $. Sadly, the victims are the true fans looking to buy just one set to enjoy it with their friends and family.
You absolutely can't stop reselling, nor should you really, but there are measures than can make it harder with the overall aim to allow fans a better chance to get the sets they want.
There's absolutely zero reason why orders shouldn't be limited to one per customer per transaction, because there's zero reason why anyone needs more than one of any set before general release. You want a second? No problem; back of the queue and line up again, or start the transaction process process on the web store again. Sure, people can still take the one they've bought and put it online but there will be far less being resold that way.
I queued this morning at the only Lego store in the country and didn't get one because they got 24 units and I was 27th in queue. That by itself isn't an issue but why the hell were there only 24 units for the only store in the entire country? Of course they would sell out within seconds of the store opening! This set has been in demand for 7 years and they know it, why is there so little stock to go around?
Why isn't it policy to take names for the rest of the queue to reserve the next shipment? I was told to call every day to find out when the next would arrive, but they aren't expecting much again before general release (I'm assuming less than 10). That'll mean queuing up from 6am on the day they arrive again, in the hopes of beating the others that haven't managed to pick them up today.
You'd think that a massive global company would organise these things much better.
Congrats to all who managed to grab a Falcon. I failed. After waiting from midnig´ht the´re was no VIP link until 10.30 am, when I was at work. When I got to check the link all stock was long gone. To sum it all up today I find the way LEGO handled the whole situation more than customer unfriendly. At least an information about future availability would have been appreciated. That leaves one massively dissapointed "VIP" LEGO STAR WARS Fan from Germany.
Made the effort to travel to a branded store this morning, They only had 16 in stock and typically I was the 18th person there, Although the staff were really good gave me a couple of freebies and a code to get foc express delivery, Also told worth a call every few days to see if they get some more in stock. Especially as I can no longer order online... Really disappointed to see that Ebay is filling up with signed sets, artwork and vip cards... Not true fans of Lego I guess..
I called into the Leeds store this evening just to see if it was £650 worth of my hard earned cash ? Still not sure, I was told they only had 16 sets today ! I think Lego are not in touch with their older end of customers. Also I would have thought there would have been a polybag or something free with it. They did tell me though the
Leeds store in Trinity would be getting more stock on .Monday, I still think I'm going to wait for a freebie or double or triple points to absorb the high price. MTFBWY
well Lego here we go again as of 615 central time us lego said comming soon now it says out of stock what a bunch of crap
Available now? What a joke. I monitored LEGO.com late last night (in case), then again just before 7:30am EST til it finally showed available. Added to cart, started to check out. Crash. Reloaded. Tried again. Crash. Again. Moved to next step, said shipping was free, shipping costs still on it. Tried again. Shipping costs DOUBLED.
After about a dozen crashes, I gave up because I had to ya know, go to WORK. When I checked again mid-morning, the thing was sold out.
What an absolute joke.
So much moaning and whining because you could not purchase this at full price before the official release date? I'm kinda shocked. If you have anticipated and waited many years for this (merely based on rumors of its release), then just wait some more months.
And scalpers: shame on you. Those who buy from scalpers: shame on you, too.
Sheesh... Patience, people! It will become available for purchase again. Really. You might even get it cheaper...
My whining is not about being unable to be part of the first batch. It's about the servers constantly crashing, logging me off, not letting me login, showing the set as available when it was not, order status page barely working (even for older orders), etc.
Quite disappointed by the way Lego seems to have handled this.
I didn't get one because I had a horrible stomach bug yesterday. When I looked this morning, all I could see was "out of stock" and people already re-selling it on amazon and ebay for 1500-2500. :-(
I really wanted to buy one (1!) for my collection to build and keep. :-(
EDIT: At least the Lego brand store says they'll be back in stock around October 1st here in Germany. They say it won't sell out soon, but who knows if that will prove accurate.
