By in United States,

Sweet. I haven't got any of the other CCC sets, and I probably won't get this one, but I like the look of them. They're just to expensive.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Gold helmets! :)

Gravatar
By in Germany,

WOW... AMAZING!

Gravatar
By in United States,

It looks very cool, and I love the gold bell and gold fireman's hats!

By in United States,

love the looks of this set. don't own any of the city sets but might get this one because of my grandfather.

Gravatar
By in United States,

In the interior picture, are those silver frogs used as hat hooks?? So many great details. Jamie outdoes himself again!

Gravatar
By in Austria,

EXPENSIVE SEASON! But entertaining . . .
Anyways - Dear LEGO Group: Pls calculate as hard as you can for the lowest price possible!
Also concerning 10196 & 10199

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm all over this. Why stop at Cafe corner and Green Grocer? I must add this to my collection.

"jpetrasich" those do look like frogs being used as hat hooks

Gravatar
By in United States,

I know what I want for Christmas. How much will this cost?

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

I'm so glad they're continuing this line. I was worried that if I bought the first two they'd cancel the line, but it seems to be popular enough. I want to be able to build an entire city block eventually.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Gotta agree with you, BioFreak877. I like they're looks, but just too expensive.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Sweet, another great addition. I really like these buildings even though I can't afford any of them and don't have enough lego peices in one color to build one. I do like building them on LDD.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

This one looks just as amazing as the other buildings in this series, I cannot wait to see it along side 10182, 10185 and 10190 in my lego city. Roll on September! I hope they do a police station and hospital too!

By in United States,

Nice, but a little boxy compared to the others.

By in United Kingdom,

By in United States,

This is okay and it will probably grow on me. I have the other three CCC sets; I think this ones my least favorite (of course I won't know for sure till I get it). It has great pieces and a cool design, but a fire-station? Seems kind of a weird choice for this line of sets. I will probably end up a library or school in my town... I will just have to figure out what to do with that garage door.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Dang it! How am I supposed to buy all of these cool summer sets if this cost 150 bucks?!?! I can't afford another big-ticket item.. not with my recent purchase of the Town Plan...

Gravatar
By in Canada,

SWEET! but pretty expensive...

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

im buying it.. just like the other 3, town plan, taj mahal, grand carrousel, etc etc,,

aarrrgh my money!

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

The style of architecture does put me off. It doesn't fit as well next to the intricately detailed European-style townhouses of Café Corner and Green Grocer (and indeed Market Street).

It will be on my wishlist, but not the highest priority - it's not a must have like the others.

Gravatar
By in Austria,

@ brickzone: Rebuild more European style using the bell, the parts 4 the tower etc, your other parts & your own ideas - it's LEGO ;-)
lOOking fwd 2 c it!

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

Better hurry ChefAgf, the Taj Mahal is going up by the month, it seems. As for me, I am soooooo getting this. I love the year it was built at the top, really gives it an old-fashioned look.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@brickzone, agree entirely. This one definitely has a US-feel to it and doesn't really fit in architectually with the other two. It also looks far too narrow; surely such stations have more than one appliance and need a wider, or more than one, door.

It's not as if LEGOLAND needs another fire station, we get enough of them in City sets...

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

if your lego city evolves you start with this building. you could take advantage of the backdoors by making some sort of inner plaza and build a modern fire station behind it. The inner plaza the solves the problem of stalling all the other firefighter vehicles...

Gravatar
By in United States,

yet again lego plagues me with the awesome sets they come out with. How are we suppose to buy these if every one is like 150-250 dollars! On the flipside, it looks like an awesome set!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Are these modular sets only available at the brand stores?

Dang, then I should plan a trip to Cologne soon then!

Gravatar
By in United States,

One of the minifigs has a tan indiana jones bag/satchel. That will be interesting.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

On close inspection of the pictures, I've realised that this IS an American Fire Station. That strange thing sticking out on the top of the first floor is actually an American flag.
P.S. what is that thing sticking out the back of the station?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@ arc170 thats the rear end of the fire engine!! this set looks a total must have.. cant wait!!!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Not the best choice, but Whatever. I'll still buy it!

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

Yes! I've gotten something Frontpaged!

Onto the set parts, hot dogs, tan satchel, dark red tiles, gold firemen hats, and, huge amounts of dark tan bricks. This just about sets it in stone for me.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I think this set will look better in real life than it does in the photos like 10187 VW beetle does, I really love this line of buildings from lego and as others have said in the past they would like to see an entire city made from these buildings, what good would a city be without a fire station?
However it would be nice to see some other businesses such as a nice cosy pub or maybe a department store, I also think a lego school would be good.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I have just looked at the picture with the hot dog/sausage on and couldn't help but raise a smile as it looks quite rude where it is positioned!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I wasn't too keen about this design, but when I saw the picture showing it connected to Cafe Corner and Green Grocer, I was won over. It's a nice addition.

Gravatar
By in United States,

A bit blocky, but the cities here are more like this than, oh say, Cafe Corner.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I have the marketplace one (the fan-designed one) from lego factory, but it fits with the green grocer and cafe corner so I consider it part of the set. Guess I need to reorganize one of my shelves to fit this one on!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Weeks ago when the rumours of the fire station CC were abounding, I was very excited. I must say, after seeing the picture I am a little let down, mainly because it wasn't the fire house that I was imagining in my mind: picture the house in Backdraft with the double garage. As Huw says, it's a little narrow and 2 appliances would be better, but I'm sure we'll see the MOC'ers do something about this in the near future.

Overall I'll put this as my third faviourite under Green grocer and CC...

Gravatar
By in Hungary,

Where is the hot dog?
Wo ist hot dog?
Hol van hot dog?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I think the Firehouse looks great but I am in agreement with most folks that we could have waited for this one.

I would have loved to have seen a Hospital, Library, Town Hall, or almost any other type of building or service, excluding the already overdone Police.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I'm not the least bit tempted by this one. All the different colours LEGO blocks have been made in, but all they ever offer us these days is hundreds of grey pieces in every set. An "epic fail".

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

@Wolf8880:

Don't you notice all the dark tan and dark red?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Gotta love this set! My lego town/city won't be complete without it! =]

Gravatar
By in Austria,

@ kiss_karoly: Jo napot kivánok!

Here in Austria a "Hot Dog" is a sausage within a special bread - maybe also in Hungaria?

What is meant here, is just a sausage, which also appears eg in set 7583 (even 2 pieces for less than 10 Euro at amazon) or Bricklink part number 33078

The sausage/hot dog can be seen on the second photo, where the firebrigade-cook tries to serve it, although the truck is going out of the garage because of an fire alert . . . ;-)

Greetings from a neighbour!

By in United States,

Hello all!

FYI, those are brushed at least 2 brushed silver fire helmets and the two brushed gold ones you see.

But sadly that is not a fully molded LEGO bell. It is a brushed gold plate at the bottom and several unpolished gold 2x2 pieces around to make the illusion of a bell.

Here is the Flickr set with very high res images AND THE SAUSAGE!!!! You can also see how amazing it looks next to cafe corner and green grocer.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/dunechaser/sets/72157619743835360/

When you look there it looks more elegant then in the tiny picture!

By in Netherlands,

Eurobricks.com has new pictures... including the second floor!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

More emergency services! Just about the only town/city sets being released now are emergency services, so why on earth should we want another one? They should have done a library, or a post office, or even a town hall.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought Ghostbusters when I saw this...an alt exclusive down the line maybe??? Any way, I can't wait to get this one...I'm glad there are getting to be enough of these to start the other side of the street...I always move mine forward 6 pegs and put the sidewalks up to the edge of street plates, but it does make it heavy and hard to move. I can't wait to have Spidy swinging between the buildings....or maybe Batman. My town is just back drop for stories with them anyway. I want more characters from DC Comics or at least from the video game. OK if nothing else an exclusive Clayface. I really want him.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Um, what's with the barrel on the roof?!?

Gravatar
By in United States,

@nath8888: I think it's a water barrel.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Ok, but why on the roof? I guess i'll have to change that.
