Friends Advent Calendar - Day 9

The themes for the Friends Advent Calendar so far has been animals and sleds. Will we start branching into something different for Day 9?
Um, no. Today we have another animal hutch, and this time it comes with the animal! Today we meet Violet the bird. Violet is a relatively rare piece, having only been seen before in 41110 Birthday Party.
Violet's hutch is quite attractive with lattice work in a nearby window. Like the others, she has a 1x2 magenta jumper plate for a resting spot as well as a decorative wreath with flower at the top (for those of you counting, we now have three spare red flowers!).

Nice to see the animal and hutch together. Much more substantial day than many previous days.
I noticed that the photographer placed the wreath so that the LEGO logo on the studs are facing towards the side. This is a big no-no in my builds. All LEGO logos must be legible wherever possible. Anyone else have this LEGO OCD?
@mroper295: when it comes to exposed studs (showing the LEGO logo), I like to have them all point in the same direction. Left to right, pointing downwards, etc. But in the same direction. Lol. This is especially true with plates, like flooring.
Well, despite any misgivings I might have, number one daughter is far more satisfied with this calendar than she was with last year's. She is especially enjoying lining up her builds with their corresponding artwork on the backdrop. Bottom line - if she's happy, I'm happy and I have to say that today's build was spot on - everything the last two days should have been - animal WITH build.
A brown bird with a red breast would have been nicer and more seasonal.
