Christmas Build-Up: Day 9

Posted by ,

The last couple of days of the Build-Up have been an incredibly confusing start to week two, but can today’s model put us on a more straightforward track?

Let’s find out...

I am not entirely sure what this vehicle is supposed to represent, but the most logical explanation would be a snow plow. I think with this mindset, it looks pretty good on the whole.

The color scheme is pretty bland, but I suppose it does add a little realism.

Otherwise, there is a lot of detail at this small scale which I believe is pretty impressive, from the smokestack to the ‘clawed’ plow section which can even be articulated! I appreciate the tail lights on the back, as well.

Overall - 4.0 - another snow plow model was featured last year, and although I think that one was more successful (and even smaller), I still enjoy this particular attempt!

It appears to be a tractor. Not sure about the ice cream on top, butit still looks cool. And, I just love tractors so it's a 5 from me!

^Yeah, looks like a tractor with a rake behind it.

^ ... and a big stack of ice-cream on top. Yum!

Its a tractor (one big wheel, one small), with a rake for ploughing the fields. I think the 'ice cream' is meant to represent the exaust fumes

By in Belgium,

Tail lights are red, so you've got it in reverse... As said above, it definitely is a tractor with a rake. :)

By in Canada,

Could it be a snow groomer for ski trails? - lights at the front, rake at the back.

Definitely a tractor with a rake/plough behind it.

I think it's an owl.

It's a Bird... It's a Plane... It's... Batman?

"I appreciate the tail lights on the back, as well." On the back? I think that's the front, otherwise the window would face backwards which would be very weird. I'm pretty sure it's a tractor, although I'm not sure why there's coming steam form the top. Also, the 'front' wheels (if you'd agree with me that the smalls wheels are on the front) look a bit odd.

Besides, TheBrickPal, are you messing with us? It almost seems you're calling it a snowplow on purpose since the whole 'owl-pinguin-thing' happened. It's obviously a tractor.

4 out of 5 because the ice cream smoke is a little large.
If you want it to be tractor raking snow, just switch out the tan earth 4x2 plate base, and add the white 4x4 plate at the rear and and white 2x4 plate at the front to represent the snow.
One of the best models in the 24 in 1 set ?

Never've seen a steam powered tractor, though pretty sure they existed.

This, obviously, is a Pinguin, Yooha.

Or a tractor. Either way, I like it!

I thought it was a zamboni. Keeps with the icy theme, but not quite the right shape.

By in Spain,

Defintely, it is a tractor. It is different from last year's snow plow!!

@CreativeTim, nope, I was not trying to mess with you guys at all. I legitimately thought it was a typical plow and now I feel like an idiot! :-)

I was actually thinking it could be a tractor at first, but quickly shrugged it off as it didn’t really look like one to me, and didn’t fit the theme. I think the plow-looking part was messing me up.

Looks like a zamboni to me (using creative license)

I believe it is a tractor with the plow in the back and yellow head lights in front. That is smoke coming from the top from an exhaust. Not the best looking model. I think they aren’t really trying to do all holiday models for this calendar but doing whatever builds they can do with all the pieces that make up this set.

God, today's build was BLOODTHIRSTY. I had to take parts from FIVE of the previous builds and ended up completely dismantling the windmill (good riddance, though--the windmill was my least favorite so far).
