City Advent Calendar: Day 11

We have spent the last couple of days indoors, eating freshly baked cookies and playing with toys, but today we are venturing back outside into the snow, befitting the weather conditions across much of the UK at the moment...
Snowmen are a constant presence in LEGO City Advent Calendars and their design seems to change very frequently. This version features a flame yellowish orange scarf, represented by a tooth piece, as well as a black lump of coal on the chest and reddish brown cones for arms. It looks reasonable in my opinion, including many of the accessories one would expect to find on any snowman.
However, I prefer reddish brown carrot tops to depict the arms as I think they look more like the twigs often used on a traditional snowman. It also looks a little bit strange without a hat in my opinion so I would suggest adding some headwear. Nevertheless, I am satisfied with today's gift and it is certainly suited to an Advent Calendar.
Overall - 3.5 - This is a good rendition of a snowman but I think there is room for a couple of potential improvements.

The first rubbish build from this years’ City calendar IMHO.
No top hat as you say, cones for arms (weird), and it would be a perfect opportunity to include the scarf from the Ninjago minifigure series.
Pathetic!
I agree with Huw on the poor standard of mini-fig scale snowmen that Lego consistently produce.
Maybe an idea for a small competition.....the best mini-fig scale snowman using a maximum of X pieces?
Another year, and the quest to actually build a Lego snowman continues...

Not just the UK - we've gotten our first snow of the season here in Massachusetts (and the US as a whole) over the last few days!
Also, I agree with Huw; ouch. Couldn't they at least have given it a hat?
Maybe LEGO should hold a contest for all LEGO fans and challenge them to make the best snowman they can think of. The best one will than be included in next years Advent Calendar.
Do you guys remember the snowman from the 2009, city calendar? How great he was!? It's just terrible and pathetic to see how these snowman has developed over the past years! 2.0 if you ask me for this build!
I'm wondering if an Advent snowman will ever include the printed tiles used in Olaf from 41148 or the Snow Golem from the Minecraft sets.
Plenty of snowmen styles mean that you can pick your own favorite.
This one is not the best.
You can give this year's City version a cap using the spare 1x1 black plate.
I looks like a penguin after a round if medival torture.
A red scarf would have been better.
Not bad but a red scarf would have been a better choice. My son and I could not figure out what the orange piece was supposed to represent.
