Hamley's, the famous toy store on Regent Street in London, now has its own exclusive minifigure, a royal guard. It's similar to the one in collectable minifigures series 5, 8805 Royal Guard, but with a happier expression and a couple of medals on its chest. It's thought it'll retail for £6.

BricksFanz has published a couple of images, this one and one out of bag, so head on over for a closer look.

This is not the first time a toy store has had its own minifig. In 2013 LEGO produced a similar one, 5001121 BR LEGO Minifigure, for BR stores in Scandinavia.

By in United Kingdom,

Series 5 version also has yellow hands. This one is wearing white gloves.

Now there are two reasons to visit London. :)

Yes I like this very much

By in United Kingdom,

I think it's funny when Lego decides to break their own rules and mass-produces minifigures clearly based on members of the British Armed Forces XD

By in United Kingdom,

Does anyone know if this is exclusivly for the London store or can it be bought at either The Trafford Centre or House of Fraser Hamleys in Manchester???

By in United Kingdom,

Anyone know if this is this available now?

By in United Kingdom,

£6 though? That's really steep even for an exclusive.

By in United Kingdom,

Its not available just yet and it's too early to say if it'll also be sold in the other stores.

By in Denmark,

Hope the minifigure will be available in Hamley’s in Denmark. There’s one store in Copenhagen which probably will be a visit worth, if it can be purchased there. Not that I say Hamley’s isn’t worth to visit ahead.
The price for the figure is about 3 times more than the BR figure was priced in DK.

I already own the BR minifigure which is perfect!

By in Germany,

6 Pounds? That's ridiculous. Why not charge 10 pounds? Or even better 14.99? Maybe they can make up some super-exciting VIP club for owners, too? There is only greed left today.

By in United States,

As a US resident, I can safely say it feels like this basic design has been released about 20 times already.

Shame he doesn't come with a gun like the Toy Soldier from the CMF book.

Since I won't be going to London anytime soon, that's too bad. But it does look like a neat figure. I wouldn't mind owning one or two, but I'd have to save up first.

By in United Kingdom,

At £6 he should at the very least have his sentry box never mind just the gun.

By in Jordan,

It'd be interesting to see if this minifig will be available in Hamley's Jordan.

By in Finland,

Nooo! The Royal Guard hat is not exclusive to him anymore. :(

By in United Kingdom,

It says 5 pieces. Maybe he does come with a gun. Or do these guys come with a CMF stand/plate.

By in Poland,

I REALLY hope they will make more Shop themed figures. I would love to get Jeffrey figure.

By in United Kingdom,

It’s available I have just been in to purchase mine. They have them and the Lego creator bus the smaller one in stock on all floors

By in United Kingdom,

£6 is £3 + Hamleys tax.

By in United Kingdom,

I bought some Lego once in Hamleys - it was about 2x RRP so I've never felt the urge to go back again. Maybe just for this fig...

By in Russian Federation,

Also, this minifigure has white gloves and a different kind of the belt compared to the Collectable minifigures version.

By in Germany,

Wow, that's an amazing deal.
Amazing in that anyone is willing to pay 6 quid for ONE minifig, yet at the same time so many people (myself included) are complaining about official collectible minifigs now costing 3.99 each. And that minifig is just an old CMF redress, too. Wow.

And the worst thing is, if this does indeed sell for some curious reason, the next one will be 7.99, or 8.99, and there will still be people who will buy them.

By in United Kingdom,

5th piece is the plate, available now, picked up two yesterday

If someone wants a BR minifigure and can offer me that Hamleys one in exchange, please contact me.

By in United Kingdom,

If anyone stumbles across this - they’re now available on hamleys website so no need to go to the store.
