This new polybag has been found at the Discovery Centre, Manchester, UK, by Brickset reader Chris A, priced at just £2.

It's the latest in a long line of build-a-duck polybags which include 1551 Duck from 1985, 2000416 Duck from 2012, and one we simply have listed as 'Duck' which was sold in Hong Kong.

This one contains a few more pieces than the previous versions, allowing for a wider variety of cute critters to be constructed.

Isn't it cool that LEGO still produces sets such as this which encourage creativity with so few pieces.

By in Canada,

There was an Easter set a couple years back that had little ducklings (chickens?) that are in this style. I started taking one with me and taking pictures like one of those little traveling minatures concepts. Since then, the little duck has gained quite a following with my friends and family and I currently have about 30 sitting on my book shelf. I give them out with Christmas gifts. Tl;dr I'll pick this up if its available in the states!

By in United Kingdom,

Just opened it up and inside is a lovely leaflet with the history of the duck :-)

By in Norway,

That was the best part about the small Classic sets last year - the spread with ideas for other animals based the handful of bricks used for the “main” one.
