Ariel & Ursula BrickHeadz revealed!
Posted by TheBrickPal,
PromoBricks has revealed a new set from the BrickHeadz line - this time based off of the 1989 Disney classic The Little Mermaid.
Mermaid princess Ariel and evil sea witch Ursula are the stars of this two-pack, 41623, with some incredible parts usage, techniques and recolors to boot. It should be available in July.

Ariel’s hair looks like it’s made of bricks. I mean like brick bricks.
Really like Ursula's hair and I like Ariel's hair from the side but like @Teriyaqi above said, kinda' distracting with the 'brick'-like hair pattern for the front. And especially in red.
Lego, where's the Boba Fett Brickhead!!
Ariel's tail is too short and the wrong color.
Ursula is brilliant, wish I could buy just her.
Actually a whole line of "Disney Villains" Brickheadz would be really neat. Shame Disney doesn't lean much on that branding any more.
Poor Ariel, her hair looks like it was sucked through a tornado...
I think those MOCs look much better: https://www.brothers-brick.com/2018/05/26/brickheadz-that-dwell-under-the-sea/
They're okay, but Ariel's tail is ridiculous . The Ariel and Ursula (along with king Triton) by @Koen on Flickr are much better.
Looks like the Snow Sisters have been added as well now.
Also, that is the highest for a 2-pack brickheadz I've seen as well for the piece count.
The reason Ariel's hair is so bricky is because, for some reason, LEGO chooses to show these strange renders in promotional material where every brick is clearly visible
A BrickHeadz mermaid? Count me in! So... when are we gonna see Hades, Mushu, or Dr. Facilier in one of these?

Hey, that's one down from my ideas list! I'm actually diggin' the Teal on Ariel, the color of her tail does vary a bit from source to source...

Also, more Teal is always a good thing in my book : )
I'm sure Ariel, Elsa, and Anna are the very tip of the Disney Princess line, and we'll be seeing more. An Aladdin line with the Genie, Jasmine, and, well... Aladdin himself would be cool!
For those with negative comments about Ariels hair: this is clearly her 'just risen from the water look'.
I like them both especially Ursula,
They certainly look better than the 3 frozen ones that were shown on here last week and those ghastly Solo ones...
I think one of the reasons I dislike Brickheadz is the way the eyes they've chosen to keep using remove any semblance of fun, personality, and soul from the characters.
Ariel's tail is not even visible, how can it be wrong?
Is there a fin at the backside?
Still not that huge BH fan, but those two look very good! Colorful, good shapes, curves, and printings... Much better IMHO than Darth Vader and Stormtrooper or even Frozen BH versions for instance...
@Mr Love - I said the same thing in the forum. Those Brickheadz by Swan Dutchman are ten times as good as the official ones. Plus they don't have to rely on printed parts for the detail. As much as I'd like to get a Little Mermaid Brickheadz for my daughter, I don't think I could bring myself to spend money on it knowing how good it could have been. Might have to reverse engineer Swan Dutchman's.
Too much/many Brickheadz...
That MOC link...wow. .makes that official one look like crap
I will say though that I much prefer the brick-build, uh... bra, on the MOC than the simple printing on the official model. The render makes it look funky, but I do prefer the swooshing hairstyle of the official over the softer, closer-to-the-head version on the MOCs. Still, those are adorable builds : )
