Why are they still releasing things based on that horrible movie?? What's next, sets based on the 90's Batman Forever or Batman and Robin?

Better late than never, eh?

@natro220
I certainly wouldn't mind a batmobile based on 1989 Batman movie.

This is an awesome set! A new Joker card for the first time since the original Batman sets and that Knightmare figure is very detailed. It's also an easy way to grow your Parademon army. I hope we see more packs like this!

@natro220 Batman vs. Superman is fairly recent, meanwhile Batman Forever and Batman & Robin came out 2 decades ago. That, and there are DC fans who actually liked BVS and will get salty if a Marvel set took this one's place instead.

By in United States,

My decision to not purchase any DC lego that was based on any of the live-action movies and instead focusing on the sets based on the comic lines and the lego Batman movie has saved me $$$ and allowed me to feel like I have not missed out anything.

While I really like these add-on type sets, I won't be getting this one.

Wait... what is this guy, exactly? He looks like batman in a beige trench coat.

Gravatar
By in Norway,

The movie was agony, but I have a Batman collection so I'll buy it if I find it

By in United Kingdom,

Thats pretty much exactly what he is, Speed Champions Fan. From a dream sequence in BvS, its Batman in a big coat in the desert.

Do the accessories in the bottom there actually end up building something? Or is it a lot of random leftover spare parts?

@Brickatili according to Shop @home’s official description it says it builds a turret for Batman.

I will definitely be getting this because of how awesome it is. I’m probably in the minority here but I think it’s a fantastic deal because a green parademon goes for like $4-$5 on Bricklink which would cost around $8-10 for two of them if you were to buy them on Bricklink and this Batman is definitely worth $3 in that sense. This Knightmare Batman has to be one of my favorite Batman variants and this is a great way to build a Parademon army (which I have been trying to do for my Atlantis moc even though they weren’t in the scene it still looks better for a moc than just Steppenwolf).

Dawn of justice was a Hum Dinger however i would buy this set...
Dc did make up for it with both Wonder woman 10/10 and justice league 8/10..

I wanna see more 1966 batman sets lego too:

By in Portugal,

I love people that trash BvS but love JL...
As for the set, a must buy.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I have not seen BvS... But that is a cool figure! I would love to add it to the Batman collection.

By in Serbia,

I currently own 4 green parademons and 6 yellow ones, so this should even things out. And I never even saw the movie... I just want my Apokoliptic army :)

@natro220, there are quite a few people out there that liked this movie, and it’s a Batman variant that actually appeared in the movie. And it serves as an army builder, so I see the merits in this.
I also bet there’s a small market for sets based on the 90’s films, even if they were panned. I’d gladly take a Batman forever set.

Best scene from the movie. Love this new variant Batman and a couple of Parademons too!
Plus a turret, rifle and Joker printed tile, I'm on it.

Gravatar
By in Portugal,

Good set.

By in United States,

$13 for a Batman? No thanks.

By in United States,

This is awesome, I'm a huge BVS fan. I can't wait to get this set, I'm so happy Lego made it.

Although, I wish the Parademons had the superman army uniform.

@Akulla, I completely agree would love more official ‘89 Batman Stuff, but check out Brickvault.toys (not affiliated in any way), they have an amazing ‘89 batmobile, both minifig scale and “UCS” version. Built them both and some of my favorite for my batmobile collection. As for this set, love this version of Batman and will definitely be getting it!

Knightmare Batman from BVS was always a cool design!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I want this. Also want Marvel product similar to this. Like for Deadpool or obscure characters. Why do a box set when blister packs are cool too?

Gravatar
By in Australia,

But why can't they pick decent movies to make exclusive figure variants from?

At the very least, we'll probably get a Captain Marvel figure sooner rather than later.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I like the idea of a Lego Knightmare Batman but I'm not sure how well Lego have executed it. Couldn't care less about the parademons. Hated Justice League and have no interest in a Parademon army. And this is coming from a guy with a decent Ultron army!

Btw, I actually enjoyed some of Batman v Superman. It had its flaws but I thought it was alright overall.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I love it!!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Think I'll nab two of this or more for troop building.

Gravatar
By in United States,

What do you get when you cross the famous tv detective Columbo swating at flyies with Lego batman? This weird set. Anyone else confused why this set comes out a year after Justice league and two years after Batman v Superman? Kinda late in the game don't ya think??

Gravatar
By in United States,

Terrible movie, but for 3 great exclusive minifigures it’s a great value.

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

Oooh, figurine exclusive!

Gravatar
By in Singapore,

IDC about the movie, but this set better have guns for Batman. Stud shooters don't count.

Gravatar
By in Luxembourg,

Looking forward to this one. Really great Batman fig by the looks of it.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Only worth it for the Batman figure for me.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

If this Batman fig was from a larger set that I didn't want, I'd still happily pay £10.99 split on ebay for it, so everything else is just a bonus.

By in United States,

This feels like an experiment. If it's successful, it could be the death of battle pack-style sets since they're charging almost as much, but with one fewer minifig and half of the parts. It's also hanger rack-compatible, which must appeal to Lego since that enables more stores to sell them and carry them in different places (checkout aisles, etc).

I'm gunna get one since I collect Batmans, but I kinda hope this concept doesn't succeed. I don't want to see battle packs get threatened by something that is even less substantial for a similar price.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I just realized that Lego could have easily made the Knightmare Batman an SDCC exclusive. Thanks for not doing that Lego!!

By in United States,

@Zordboy which Captain Marvel? 'Cause Shazam has already had a Comic Con set (although, I'd hardly say that counts.) Both of them are getting movies soon, so we don't need to worry about missing on them for too long.

A nice little army builder. I don't collect a lot of Super Heroes (and even less of the ones based on movies) but if I ever get some Justice Leauge I'll have to grap a few of these to flesh it out.
