10263 Winter Village Fire Station confirmed!
Posted by CapnRex101,
LEGO published a few teaser images for the upcoming Winter Village set towards the end of last month, provoking considerable speculation concerning the subject of this year's model.
Many fans seemed to agree that a fire station was the most likely prospect and that has now been confirmed in the Italian LEGO brand store calendar for September and October. Images of the calendar were published by mattonito.com.
Are you looking forward to a Winter Village Fire Station or would you prefer a different kind of building? Let us know in the comments.

Wow, really? I haven't started collecting Winter Village sets myself, but I thought the speculation of a fire station was a bit strange. Not a very holiday-ish subject...
The US Store calendar has 75230 Porg pictured on the back: https://www.lego.com/r/www/r/stores/-/media/brand%20retail/stores/calendar/2018/october/10%20october.pdf
I think that while it is rather a different style to the previous sets, this could end up being a lovely set. My general hopes are that it will be an old fire house, as opposed to the larger, more modern, fire stations we have gotten in LEGO City.
There won’t be any fires in my village, but great to have someone getting cats down from trees.
I would have preferred a re-release of 10229 winter village cottage. A great set and a bargain with 1490 pieces for $100.
It might just be somewhere with a fire to get people who don't have one warm... although that would have its drawbacks...
Fantastic news, hopefully it will be slightly older in appearance giving it a more authentic holiday season look. Can’t wait to add it to my seasonal village.
@CraztLegoDude54
If you want a station like that, pay $700 for the modular. If you have $700 for a LEGO set.
thought we might see something about that Diagon Alley set re: how to get it (gift with purchase, straight out buy it etc).
Love the Winter Village line, and this will be a day 1 purchase. l love seeing our village grow each year.
@DaftArcher20968
Is there a modular? I didn't know about that. No, I don't have 700 bucks, but I'll still go check it out.
@CrazyLegoDude54 there is. 10197 Fire Brigade. And it's not $700; sealed versions on Bricklink are starting around $350 USD.
@CrazyLegoDude54 Check out https://brickset.com/sets/10197-1/Fire-Brigade
I regret missing out on so many fantastic Winter Village sets, and this may finally be the year to dive in. Especially if it is an older style fire station akin to 10197 - which although is a wonderful set that I long to have I'm not plunking down 350.00 for it.
@davirasm
I'd use it for rescuing a few people who went out for a drive and decided they were going to be the next Timo Mäkinen...
coolness, my city doesn't have a fire station yet!
Not enthusiastic about it but I will buy it to continue adding to my winter village!
I am more curious how they are going to do the vehicle (firetruck) since that to me is more of a typical Christmas visual. Come to think of it, I hope the set is more about the truck than the station.
At least it's something new.
Definitely excited to see the complete product. More of a let down is that it appears that the usual double VIP points promotion on all sets in October will be limited to just the usual few monthly sets. Double VIPpoints only equates to 10% store credit in the US, but Amazon regularly sells many kits at 20% off Lego retail pricing.
Actually interested to see how this comes out. The past sets have been almost stereotypical... not to say that’s bad at all. I’m just glad that LEGO is “breaking the mold” in terms of what is usually labeled “holiday themed”.
I look forward to seeing some pictures of it, but it will definitely not stay a fire station or a fire truck, in my Winter Village, it would be bad karma. So I will need to do some mods to it, to make it into something that will better suit my village.
Does this mean that we will get a winter village police station next year then? I would prefer a ski lodge or cable car.
Finally there's someone to put down all the burning Christmas trees...
Looking forward to this. Sure, it'll be a bit different, but the cottage was different too, at the time: larger base, and not a store front like we'd had up to that point. I would very much expect a more vintage feel given that the entire rest of the theme seems to exist somewhere between the 20's and 40's (lots of old trucks in Winter Village).
Urgh. I'll try not to be too judgemental til I've seen the pics but this does not thrill me.
I look forward to this set.
Trying hard to imagine how the set will or shall look like. Maybe my imagination has diminished through the years.
I reserve judgment until I actually see the official set.
Have bought all the Winter Village sets of the last four years, but not the "classic" ones of old. Then again, one I bought was a re-release of the first WV set (and even an improved version), so no hard feelings about missing out on some of them.
Anyway, I love winter, and I like fire stations, so this might be right up my alley.
For those that don't read Italian (via google cos I don't either) the text says...
"Come into the store to discover a preview of the new fire station."
You know I'm confused, when is this set going on sale exactly? November? Is it just an in store preview of this set in October? I hope not because selling the latest WV set only a month before Christmas is a horrible, horrible idea. Particularly in terms of availability. I'm not liking the late reveal to be honest. Not for what's usually my most anticipated set of the year.
I wish LEGO would stop with the last minute reveals, it defeats the purpose of being a LEGO VIP having early access to sets as a benefit.
So, no Winter Village tattoo parlor, payday loan or vaping shop? Sigh, what could have been...
I'll reserve my opinions on a fire station until I see it.
A winter village pirate ship would have been a thrill...but I'll take a Winter Village Firehouse. I just like the series and will likely continue on with purchasing these.
What the L does a fire station have to do with a winter village ???
@Lego_Star, the set will go on sale September 13th for VIP members.
@ MJS MD i.. who knows.. would you rather have some travesty such as "Friends- hot dog stand instead.. ? That would certainly be more fitting :)
@AustinPowers Have seen it and nothing "special". I was personally disappointed.
Next up a winter village coast guard station! Haha.
Call me when a winter village gas station is announced lol.
Always good to see more aspects of a city appear in the Winter Village format.
In late 2027, we'll get the Winter Village Jungle Police Station.
Not fired up about this. I don’t buy this range but surely there are loads more other original places that would lend themselves to a WV scene? Ice rink, ski chalet ?
At this rate, next year will be a WV hospital or WV old fishing store.....
Here in Denmark it is not unusual that the fire brigade takes part in lightning the Christmas tree on the town square. Who ever is going to light the tree, eg. Father Christmas or the mayor, might even go to the top of the tree using the ladder or lift of the fire engine.
When I was a child a classic fire engine was giving children rides around the town centre with Father Christmas in the front passenger seat.
And at the World Santa Claus Congress at the amusement park called Bakken, there is a parade of fire engines and Father Christmases from around the world.
If you Google Santa Claus and fire engine, you will find lots of pictures, not least from the USA.
@crayxmp: Thanks for the info. That would fit the 2018 trend of many rather mediocre sets in general.
@all the naysayers: what's wrong with a classic fire station in Winter Village garb? There's hardly a time during the year when there are more fires in houses than during the Christmas holiday season. Loads of people lighting candles around all sorts of flammable decorations. Add to that careless kids more eager to play with presents than to care for safety, adults consuming alcoholic beverages and foodstuffs and acting accordingly afterwards, and you have the perfect recipe for disaster. Good to know that the fire station is well staffed and ready for action - in real life as well as in LEGO Winter Village :-)
I’d like some olde fashoned shoppes - a sweet shop in particular!
A fire station isn’t unusual at all. Many traditional winter village sets for Christmas have a fire station as an option at least. I know people feel it might not fit, but it is actually quite appropriate for the theme. But it has to be the old, one engine style firehouse. I assume that’s what they’re going for, but we’ll have to wait for the pictures.
If they had done a ski village, the first comments would be “Friends already did this, be original” etc etc.
Me too @Jackthenipper. However I will be happy to have a fire station so long as it is, as they say, quaint and ye olden style.

I'm somewhat disappointed with this choice, there could have been so many other things before a Fire Station... But now I hope it'll contain some nice prints or interesting colors, maybe minifigs in winter uniform, so something new to the Firefighter theme! :)
I am so excited! I really wanted the 10197 Fire Brigade but I never got it. I hope it's like the fire Brigade.
@legokid04 "I hope it's like the fire Brigade. ". No way. The WV one is half the price and less than 1/3 of the parts.
@Chilis_no, Want I meant by I hope it's like the fire Brigade was that I want it to have a old fashon style.
I have other wv sets. I don't think I'll burn my money on this one.
Gave up on the WV series. It has failed miserably. They don't coalesce into a coherent display. I've taken the white roofs off the ones I've bought and used them in my English 50s village project with a steam train based on the Constitution, with EN-style passenger cars.
I guess this will be it:
