2019 City and Creator images
Posted by Huw,
Images of most of the January City and Creator sets have now emerged. Unsurprisingly, there are Fire and Police sets aplenty, but also this rather cool looking snow groomer. I do wonder why it's fitted with a snowball shooter, though...
You'll find pictures of some of my favourites after the break, or you can see them all in the database: City | Creator.
31088 Deep Sea Creatures
31090 Underwater Robot
31092 Helicopter Adventure
60222 Snow Groomer
60223 Harvester Transport

I had to read again your article to realize that this isn't where the 2019 pictures are located but rather your favorites, I love the Harvested as well
The alt builds on the first two look pretty fantastic too. I might be stuck getting 3-4 of each of them D:
Yeah, more (deep sea) creatures to populate my desk at work! :-)
All the sets getting smaller n smaller. Sigh
@p0dracer: Err… not really? It’s just that smaller sets tend to make up the majority of the first sets released/revealed in any given year. But neither the higher priced nor lower priced sets revealed so far seem noticeably smaller by either proportions or piece count than their counterparts from previous years. Like, 60215 has a considerably higher piece count than any similar priced sets since 2012. And the City Great Vehicles sets seem like a pretty typical size and piece count for their price points.
I'd assume the "snowball shooter" on the snow groomer is meant to represent a snow blower attachment, although those would normally be attached to the plow.
I agree with how great is 60223. I love it because of the tractor-trailer.
I am eagerly awaiting pictures of the rest of all of the City sets, my favorite theme.
The box image for the Snow Groomer seems to indicate it is the type you'd find at a ski resort where they would want to move the snow a certain way, and a snow shooter makes sense in that regard.
I'm happy with the Burger Bar, but I wish it wasn't on fire. Perhaps as a companion set, they could offer a City Insurance Company high rise office.
The Creator sets this year look absolutely fantastic! I especially love the two underwater sets, they take me back to the good old days of Aqua Raiders. I'll definitely be picking up both.
As for City, there are some gems in there (Harvester Transport and Burger Bar Fire Rescue caught my eye) but it seems like a really weird mix of themes this year. There seem to be only 2 sets so far in the rather silly Sky Police theme, but there's also a Police Patrol Car which exists outside of that subtheme, which strikes me as odd. The Fire sets look pretty good for the most part, and although I can't say I'm a fan of the toy-ish elements like the stud shooters and what looks to be a water pump in the Burger Bar set, I'm sure kids will love them. It's just strange to me to have both Fire and Police subthemes at the same time, but both with a fairly low number of sets. I suppose some sets have yet to be revealed, so we'll have to wait and see.
The underwater robot reminds me of the sets released when I was a kid in the early 2000s.
I love the robot, and it goes really nicely with the shark. It's shame it uses click joints instead of ball joints, though. I wonder why that is?
Also, Drone Chase looks kinda futuristic. I wonder what the rest of the Sky Police sets will look like...
The gun would represent a snow gun, to put down man made snow before grooming. These are usually positioned on the side of the ski run, as they require a water source.
Love the harvester, the float looks great as does the scarecrow. The tractor is a letdown for me, that said I still want it. As they say; long time listener, first time caller, you guys do great work, thx.
@donutsftw, It's a snow cannon. You can take it off the snow groomer and stand it on its own.
Now I am just waiting for the rest of the Sky Police...
Lego City has a really serious problem with fire. Never seen a city so inflammable.
Huh, 60207 really caught my eye with the pearl gold colored statue and the mouthpiece and helmet on the "Sky Policeman". Although it also has a guy in prison garb with some sort of claw drone and a very strange helicopter, so I guess it's not all great. But that gold statue does look good.
On August 6th, let's all go to McDonalds and ask for 60214 Burger Bar Fire Rescue. The look on the workers' face will be awesome!
In all seriousness, the set is pretty cool and one of my favorites of the lineup.
The Police pilot with the air mask looks really awesome! Might get that set just for him!
Loving the new pilots visor and mouth piece. I also like how the colours they have chosen for some the accessories, particularly in the fire sets are now more realistic and closer to the real world. eg the blue air tanks and the dark beige fire uniform.
I'm just waiting for a more modern, European style fire helmet now
Either the groomer is sucking up snow and blasting it out or it is avalanche control and they are supposed to be explosives?
Some nice looking sets there.
Does anyone else think the burger bar in 60214 is an updated version of the snack bar 675?
The 60221 Diving Yacht has a nice feel. With a bit more aquascaping it would have been great.
Wow those look awesome! I’m excited! I really like the ocean and I know that a real shark looks like and they did a great job!!
Can anyone fathom a guess as to where HP set images will pop up and when? There's only been one leak thus far...
If you watch just2good's channel there was a video he made for 2019 creator set pictures and some of the sets aren't on there. And don't worry Lego is letting people leak new photo's of new Lego sets. Also even though I am not a Lego Creator guy I like these new sets
The snow groomer is from a ski resort. They use snow-cannons to lay down fresh snow if the natural snowfall is getting a bit thin, though they're usually static as they need power and water.
I personally think the helicopter from 60207 has a rough silhouette of an American military Apache unit.
The rally racer has a sleeker Baja design and as a motorsport fan I'm also excited for the latest Speed Champions sets.
2019 is looking like an expensive year.
I must differ from you, Huw, as some of the City fire sets seem to offer a better piece variety and play value.
