City Advent Calendar: Day 17
Posted by CapnRex101,
Christmas food markets have appeared in several LEGO City Advent Calendars and yesterday's cake stall might be the first of numerous gifts themed around a market.
Let's open door number seventeen and find out whether that continues...
Another minifigure is provided today and he is dressed for running the cake stall, wearing a toque blanche and a knitted jumper. This torso was created for 21310 Old Fishing Store and has appeared in three other sets so it remains quite rare. I like the intricate printing and this detailed design seems appropriate for an Advent Calendar's wintry setting.
The head is more common but features some impressive facial hair and the hat looks brilliant, despite its considerable age. A white tray of biscuits is included, laden with two different designs. These accessories are excellent and spares of each biscuit also come with the set.
Overall - 5.0 - This minifigure contains a rare torso and looks superb so is deserving of full marks!

I would love this to go into a wintry Parisian Restaurant, and with the cake stand outside.
Definitely my favourite minifigure so far
I love this cable-knit jumper. I was afraid it would be unique to the Old Fishing Store so I bought one on bricks n' pieces, but I'm very glad to see it's sticking around.
Very nice figure! My winter village is already filled with people cooking stuff including a full-on bakery... but it's welcome nonetheless :D
great fig honestly. really appreciate the 6 cookie prints
My second cable-knitt sweater, you can never have too many of those, especially in the winter. Hopefully someday I'll have a third, with the Roller Coaster!
Ahhh...Lego tropes for giving chefs big handlebar mustaches
Funny enough, this uses the same Torso/Darkgreen legs combination as the upcoming Corner Garage Modular.
So great to get another cable-knit sweater! This is a great advent gift.
