What is your favourite theme of 2018?
Posted by CapnRex101,
The end of 2018 is approaching and with that comes the first of the annual Brickset Awards, focusing upon our favourite themes.
LEGO has produced sets from 29 different themes during 2018, ranging from established subjects such as NINJAGO and Marvel Super Heroes to entirely new themes with very few products. Members of the Brickset team have chosen their favourites after the break and there is also a poll so you can vote for your favourite theme of the year!

Wizarding World
Consistency is an important factor when choosing a favourite theme and the Wizarding World range fares exceptionally well in that regard. Certain products such as 71043 Hogwarts Castle and 75955 Hogwarts Express definitely stand out as being among the best of the entire year but I think the broader theme is thoroughly impressive.
Only eleven sets have been produced during 2018 but they provide excellent coverage of the first few books, or films, in the series while also leaving plenty of room for additional sets during subsequent years. I look forward to seeing what might appear in the Wizarding World theme in 2019!

Friends
Elves has had another strong year, and I am still hoping beyond hope that it makes a return. However I think Friends has had an even stronger year. While they had a good start with sets like 41333 Olivia's Mission Vehicle and 41340 Friendship House, I think Friends really knocked it out of the park with a terrific second half of the year. 41347 Heartlake City Resort is a great set, and the racing subtheme for the second half of the year was just fantastic.
The themed bedroom for each of the Friends were great smaller sets to introduce the theme and each of the Friends. While there was a considerable amount of opinion expressed about the retooling of the core Friends characters, the sets that were produced this year were great and I hope to see an equally strong year in 2019.

Technic
There were two outstanding sets in the Technic theme for 2018: 42082 Rough Terrain Crane and 42083 Bugatti Chiron. With over 4000 parts, the 42082 Rough Terrain Crane currently holds the record for the most number of parts in a Technic set. It is an impressive build with plenty of play features combined with a extremely strong chassis and will be a favourite Technic set for many years.
In the 42083 Bugatti Chiron we saw a new rotary gear shifter. This part (6227330: Gear Shifter, W/ Cross Hole) will revolutionise Technic gearbox design and I hope to see this part appear in Technic sets in 2019.

Ideas
The four LEGO Ideas sets produced this year have all been excellent and are notably different to LEGO’s usual product assortment, which is what makes them so appealing to me.
LEGO Ideas is therefore my favourite theme of 2018.
Which theme did you vote for? Let us know in the comments.
Remember to submit your nominations for your favourite minifigure and favourite set of 2018. Those polls will be published tomorrow as 2018 comes to an end!

Was Overwatch really a 2018 theme?
Harry Potter really came back in a blaze of glory this year with a near perfect wave that seemed to sell very well. Definitely my favorite theme right now, so I’m hoping it continues next year.
Harry Potter for the win! :-)
Star wars and Harry Potter are two amazing themes but this year i think Harry Potter was the best because of the release of set 71043 Hogwarts Castle.
Team Unikitty all the way!
@nashikens - It does seem counter-intuitive as Overwatch is primarily focused upon 2019 but there was an Overwatch set released in 2018, 75897-1 Omnic Bastion. Excluding Overwatch would also have entailed excluding The LEGO NINJAGO Movie which only had one retail set.
I drew the line at The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part as the only 2018 set from that theme was exclusive to San Diego Comic-Con.
I voted City. Looking past the “flavor-of-the-month” police and fire sets, this was a wonderful year for City in terms of theme diversity, play value, and just overall great designs. Personally I could not get enough of the Arctic sub theme this year, the Jungle sets were fun, the Great Vehicles again featured great sets at a great price, and my vote for set of the year has to be the brilliant 60204 CITY HOSPITAL!!! Excellent year for City!
I have to say Ideas for this year.
Most themes I pay attention to did well this year, and as much as I'd like to credit A, B, or C, my first vote is for the Wizarding World subtheme - I can nitpick the heck out of it as a fan of the classic sets but at the end of the day, I'm happy to see my favorite childhood theme back for a new generation, even if it's wildly different, and I'm hoping to see more new stuff from it next year.
As a follow-up though, I think "Marvel Super Heroes" had a frontloaded but fantastic year as well; both "Black Panther" sets were excellent, the Quantum Realm Explorer was acclaimed for a licensed set, and I collected all six "Infinity War" sets and found them a huge improvement on what was released for the first two actual Avengers films (both of which felt like minifigure packs below the $60 point, imo)
The Wizarding World sets are winning and in my opinion deservedly so! The sets are incredibly well designed — not to mention the minifigures.
...Was it even a question for me? Ideas!
Wizarding World definately had my vote. I hope they continue with another wave next year. But I’m surprised Creator Export isn’t mentioned as it was a pretty good theme too. I’m not surprised that technic is ranked so low as I thought it was pretty disappointing this year, especially the 42082 rough terrain crane IMO
Speed champions ,realistic enough for such small scale and relatively cheap for a brand name and that '69 mustang
LEGO Nexo Knights
I've not seen the Harry Potter films (I know, I know) and I love Star Wars, DC, and Marvel, but the Wizarding World sets have been the best and make me want see the the films quite soon.
There were plenty of strong contenders this year, but my vote easily went to City for the fact that this year was the first time I've seen city sets I've wanted since the early 90s classic town sets. The mining and arctic sub themes stood out, and a new hospital made it a bumper year.
A special mention though for Wizarding World, which nailed every set it released.
Wizarding World was pretty great and was what I was looking forward to most all year, but my vote has got to go to Ninjago. These last two seasons have been a rollercoster of emotions and while the sets might not be as good as the movie they're definitely a step up from season 7.
Although The Wizarding World sets were better than ever, Star Wars had a fantastic year with several good and fairly unique sets like 75221 Imperial Landing craft and 75215 cloudrider swoop-bikes. Despite some disappointing Last Jedi sets ( which fit the let down time of the movie:), the other sub themes this year like Solo were pretty good. Not to mention the Minifigures like Enfys Nest and Praetorian Guards were brilliant! Overall a solid year.
Overwatch shouldn't be included. If it is than TLM2 should be as all those sets were released December 26th.
Last year it was NinjaGo Movie for me, this year is much harder. Friends and Elves felt lame, NinjaGo was 'ehh', good but nothing special. But that's my problem with most things, good but nothing special.
I voted Wizarding World since I was surprised and impressed by the sets offered this year. Traditionally, I am a big City (old Town) fan, but this year's offerings just didn't do it for me. I certainly do hope that the Wizarding World has more offerings in 2019. Would be interesting to see what they put out.
@David1985 - 75897-1 Omnic Bastion was released during 2018, hence Overwatch must be included. If that was excluded then so would The LEGO NINJAGO Movie and I think that would cause controversy.
I voted architecture for such great sets as Chinese Wall, Statue of Liberty or Las Vegas. It was a close call though as Wizarding World has a lot of fascinating sets too, but I haven't built any of them yet apart from Harry's journey to Hogwarts (and that one wasn't all that special) and (if you can call it building) the minifigures series.
Creator Expert had its ups (Downtown Diner and - though not a big fan of theme parks - the roller coaster) and downs (Vestas and JB Aston Martin), so I'm looking forward to Corner Garage ;-)
Creator Expert and Ideas.. But my vote goes to Ideas. Voltron and the Pop-Up Book were such wonderful sets this year!
This was a good year for Star Wars sets. I liked both huts, 75200 Ahch-To , and 75208 Yoda’s Hut. The new Mos Eisley and Hoth Medical sets were great mid priced sets for those iconic scenes and we saw several great battle packs ((Jawa army builder!). Vader Pod was a fun give away of a fig usually reserved for much pricier sets. For the nerf herder who has everything Lego redid the rare Cloud City. Wizard World had some fantastic (Great Hall) sets but I feel Star Wars had the best overall collection of sets of 2018.
I voted Marvel superheroes because of infinity war sets, they were incredible..
Almost went with Star Wars, but Brickheadz really stood out to me this year.
The techniques used to build them are fantastic and the range of characters and themes is great
As a massive fan of the Collectable Minifigures series I choose it as my fav theme of 2018, The Batman series 2 was disappointing but there where some stand out characters such as Soccer Mom Bat Girl and Dor El. Then series 18 impressed me with only 4 horrid characters, my fav of the series include Classic Police Officer who was easier to find than I first though and the two brick suits and party kids where figures I had to get doubles of as they where unique and awesome, then finally the Wizarding World series came out to be my favourite series of the 2018 releases. all of the figures apart from Credence Bones impressed me, finally a additional series was the Unikiity blind bags that on Bricklink Is considered a CMF series, I love all of the characters and there cuteness
LEGO did great with the CMFs theme this year, I also though Ideas was a strong theme with the clever Ideas book and beautiful Ship in the bottle, and the Brickheadz theme also impressed me with the return of the Simpsons and Back to the Future and Harry Potter and finally the Marvel and DC themes impressed me as usual with the last wave of Mighty Micros, Black Panther and the best of the subthemes the Infinity War movie line of sets
Themes that disappointed where Star Wars as the sets where priced hideously likewise for the 2019 SW sets and also the Overwatch theme has so little interest in my eyes but that's because I have no idea of what overwatch is apart from the fact its a videogame.
Elves was the strongest theme for years, I'm sad to see it go.
I thought Ideas had a fallow year this year, but that's purely down to personal taste.
I'm torn, though: a bumper year for Marvel, IMO, or a superb return for the Wizarding World. I can't decide!
I am almost entirely anti-licensed themes (I do have a soft spot for Indiana Jones), so it came down to Ideas, Technic, and Creator for me. In the end, Technic had the Mack Anthem set and therefore got my vote.
Wizarding World/Harry Potter
I put my vote where I put the vast majority of my LEGO budget; Creator Expert, even though most of that was spent on catching up to great releases from years' past. HP had some great sets though, and would get my runner up vote in a heartbeat. My 2018 collection is all over the map as far as themes go, so picking a favorite isn't easy. SW had some great sets this year, although imo the value hasn't been great. Maybe I should've picked City, it's the theme I've purchased the most sets from this year as my own city continues to grow :)
Ps. I forgot to add an honorable mention to Speed Champions for another great year!
I have been honest in my vote. I have bought all the Collectible Minifigure Series of this year, as in previous years. However, if I check the sets I have bought this year, I must admit that Speed Champions has been a great atraction for me!! I could have bought all of them, but not, but most of them yes. So, my vote for Speed Champions!!
I'm a huge LSW fan but this year was not good, despite the Yoda's Hut. Uninspired UCS models and lackluster System models. City was strong with the Hospital set and some vehicles, Ninjago Movie was great with the Docks set, Ninjago was great with the Temple and Dragons sets. Speed Champions was really good but doesn't top 2017 in my book, nothing beats the 720S and AMG GT models, those were brilliant. But my vote has to go for Wizarding World: The HP sets were really nice and Newt's suitcase was a brilliant set. All those €-prices were fair here, something you cannot say about LSW these days..
Friends is a nasty theme. It encourages stereotypes such as everything being pink and is also overpriced.
Voted Jurassic Workd even though I have all the Marvel sets this year.
Imho 2018 was the worst year in terms of LEGO ever since I emerged from my dark ages around 2009/2010.
Technic, which used to be one of my favorite themes has been on a downward trend for years, and 2018 was by far the worst. I only bought one set this year (the new forklift), and even that was a disappointment on many levels. I might get the new crane one day on discount, but other than its size it has got not much going for it to me. It pales when compared with former flagship sets like 42043 Mercedes Arocs or 42009 Mobile Crane MK II. The Bugatti was just as useless as a Technic set as the Porsche GT3 before, hiding what few functions it offered to begin with. Great packaging design and a nice exterior shell to me is not enough to validate the name "Technic".
Creator Expert offered some solid sets as per usual, as did Ideas and City, so none of these themes were complete disappointments, but also had their bunch of big failures, mostly in terms of ridiculous prices, awkward source material or bad execution. Especially Ideas had problems filling the big shoes left by 2017's excellent Old Fishing Store and Saturn V. Nothing comparable this year, so I only bought the ship in a bottle as the others simply didn't interest me that much. Don't know the Voltron series, the TRON bikes were laughably overpriced, and the pop-up book while nice also isn't 70 Euro kind of nice to me. You just don't get a lot of value for your money with this set. Plus it has only one fairy tale of interest, as I had never heard of that beanstalk thing before.
Friends was ok I would say, but nothing truly special apart from the excellent holiday resort set in my eyes.
Star Wars didn't offer anything of interest to me this year. It seems to follow the trend of its source, the films, which seem to get worse with every new installment. Perhaps it is finally time to finish it off with a bang and let some classic space theme return for a while. Perhaps with a fresh start in a few years time Star Wars sets will be more welcome again. Remember, absence makes the heart grow fonder!
Which nicely brings me to my only truly positive surprise this year on almost every level - the Wizarding World theme. Having been in my dark ages when Harry Potter was around the first time, I really enjoyed seeing those characters and accompanying sets again. Even better was the highly surprising fact that for a licensed theme these sets were very well priced, and thus offered far better value for money than even most non-licensed themes this year.
Therefor my absolute top pick, hands down.
I’m going to give some love to the Architecture theme. They are always fairly interesting and looking forward to the Paris and San Fran skylines and whatever else comes later in the year
Had to vote for TLNM sets as my favourite. So many excellent sets with excellent value for money. There have been other sets that I've liked from other themes but virtually all TLNM sets would have been worth the money at retail price. Not many other themes can boast that.
Torn between ideas and Speed Champions. The ideas theme is so good, as it Lego fans essentially, but this year, SC gave me a classic 911! :)
SW sets let down by price, representational of models being none that I actually want to buy, exc UCS.
Most of the themes means absolutely nothing to me. From 1977 to 2017 the only thing I bought was technic, bigger sets only. I only have a small collection. This year I started buying creator expert sets, got about 10 sets. Really like them . But I still voted for technic.
Best theme is Ideas. Those are beautiful sets to be displayed or played with. Very unique and creative are the Ideas ones this year. Then the Wizarding World theme as 2nd.
Although I am mostly a Star Wars collector, I must say that this year, Ideas was just the most interesting all around.
Seeing as I ONLY collect Star Wars (with the exception of some Disney Animation & Ideas Tron), I feel the theme is a bit uninspired (lazy and overpriced), though the SOLO sets (Kessel Run Falcon, AT Hauler & Imperial Tie) were welcome, They also closed out the year, strong, with Darth Vader's Castle & Betrayal at Cloud City.
NOTE: Honestly, the most creative sets, by far, are Ninjago. If I weren't an AFOL Star Wars nerd from the 1970's, I'd likely have bought Ninjago if a child of the 2000's.
I voted Speed Champions, the cars are not only fun to build but the look and play ability is great.
Lego Batman movie because of superfriends such as the wonder twins and black Vulcan. Asked lego to make these about four years ago in my first review and they finally came through.
But, CapnRex01, the Lego Movie 2 has 20 sets released in 2018, on 26/12/18, I know it’s only 5 days before the end of the year, but if Overwatch was included which only has one set, and an exclusive one at that, it seems kinda mean to draw the line at TLM2.
Actions like these make baby Benny cry.
Best themes of the year had to be...
1. Architecture
2. Ideas
3. Creator expert
@Captain Mutant - Several sets from The LEGO Movie 2 have been released towards the very end of 2018 but they are officially 2019 sets. You can find the 2019 copyright date underneath the box.
Exactly the same thing occurs every single year and I am not sure why it is causing confusion on this occasion.
NEXO Knights for sure, followed closely by Ninjago. I really wish TLG would have made the forest and water villains for NK. They would have been awesome!
Eggshen I totally agree! Nexo knights, Ninjago, and Chima are my favorite themes. I feel like Nexo Knights was incomplete, there was so much to it and then they just stopped. Anyway, I love lego made themes so Ninjago has my vote :)
Marvel Super Heroes is my favorite! They produced a lot of great sets, particularly those based on the MCU.
Star Wars is a close second, though!
Ninjago and Elves were great themes this year, but Ninjago's "Sons of Garmadon" wave was a bit lackluster, so I'll give my vote to Elves on its final year of fun creature builds. I hope they come up with another theme besides Friends that has the cool builds and colors like Elves had.
Also, the Marvel Super Hero sets were well done this year too, since I've generally come to expect lousy builds from that theme, but I enjoyed some of the Black Panther and Infinity Wars sets quite a bit.
Too bad that ‘promotional’ isn’t a choice in the poll. For me it was a strong year with 40290 - 60 years of the Lego brick, 40291 - Creative personalities, 40292 - Christmas gift box and others of course (like the factory).
I like big sets too, but there’s value in the smallest offerings as well.
Although i have bought more Marvel this year than other themes, my vote still goes to Wizarding World. If i had the space and budget I would have bought the lot.
My favs are Lego The Batman Movie figs and set (still fun to collect the different various goofy characters), with IDEAS a close second (Every model is great in this line).
After a LONG time narrowing down the options I ended up choosing City with DC being a close second. The City sets have recently been grabbing my attention with the variously vehicles for the police and crooks and I love the mountain twist Lego added. I also love the new mining line and this year’s advent calendar did not dissapoint in my opinion. DC was a close second because I love the newer Justice League sets escprcially Lex’s mech. The Batman sets that released later in the year were also nice featuring less known characters but they just seemed a bit small for my taste. The only thing that held me back from choosing DC was its lack of sets for such a big Liscence theme. I only hope we won’t be disappointed with next year’s DC set amount, but so far the characters and vehicles the sets focus on are very nice.
Ideas!
I purposely purchased them from Lego directly, too, to help the theme last longer.
I voted for Marvel because of the Infinity War sets, but part of me feels bad not voting for DC. I love DC and enjoy the fact that Lego is moving (and has been) somewhat away from just doing Lego Batman sets. I hope they continue this practice in the future.
Star Wars is also a favorite of mine.
What to pick what to pick? Jurassic World sets were solid (Carno, Stigy, the classic Raptor Escape scene), Star Wars Solo sets were cool and spot on that I acquired that subtheme except the new MF, Marvel was off the hook: Infinity War sets were awesome and accurate (got all but the new Milano and Thor quest) as well as the tow from Black Panther, City finally gave us a Hospital and a new City Center (needs work). I have my next year sets to buy but so far nothing at the level of Ninjago City (that may change depending on funds) and Star Wars seems an easy ride so far (one day Millennium Falcon UCS) and Overwatch looks cool. I know what to pick for this year: Creator for the Vestas Windmill.
For me :
1 -"Star Wars"
2 - Wizarding World
3 - Marvel
Other themes with sets like Ninjago City Docks, Downtown Diner, "Jurassic Park" Velociraptor Chase, "Tron Legacy" where also amazing.
What an year !
I'm a huge Star Wars fan, but looking back at what I've bought this year, the Ninjago Hunted dragons have the win.
Jurassic world because I can't have enough dinosaurs! Carnotaurus gyrosphere escape is now one of the favorite sets that I own! :)
Having come out of my dark age right at the tail end of the last time there were Harry Potter LEGO sets (2011), I gotta give it up for Potter & Co's return. I never got any of the sets back then as I'd only just gotten back into LEGO, always wished I'd at least picked up some of them, so I'm very happy to see LEGO returning to it. One can only hope they do the same with LotR/Hobbit sets at some point.
I'm genuinely amazed that everyone is picking "Wizarding World". I'm just not a huge Harry Potter and didn't even look twice at that range (other than mocking the new Hogwart's Express for being a pretty badly-designed train).
City was amazing this year, but between Tron and Voltron, I went with Ideas. Quality over quantity.
Wizarding World by far. The updated models are much improved over previous years. Seeing updates on the figures was great. HP is what got me back into lego in 2010, and now I get to share new HP sets with my daughter. Win!
XTRA is definately theme of the year. Thanks LEGO for saving me the bricklink time and plz keep em coming. Also the playmats, more please. Some playmats for Castle and dessert and aquascaping too. :-)
Definitely out of a chance, but I've really enjoyed City this year a opposed to others. Sets like the mountain police, new ideas for the Great Vehicles subtheme and new attempts at the arctic and mining themes which I enjoyed first time round made me really appreciate City more this year, and I obtained quite a few sets compared to the norm.
Star Wars is my one true love but it was... not a good year for it. Just disappointment after disappointment after overpriced disappointment, and next year aint lookin so great either. Im gonna have to give it to Ideas, so many incredible sets came out of it this year.
Would've voted "promotional" if it were an option though. Seriously good year for those
@DaftArcher - yep , that stereotypical go-karting theme with its yellows, reds, blues & green.
Or were you meaning the science car? Or perhaps the tree-house? Soccer? Skateboarding?
As for pricing- it's roughly the same as City (if not a bit cheaper) & certainly a lot cheaper than the JW sets
Sorry- the Friends releases have been very diverse this year with a lot of interesting sub-themes.
That's why it got my vote
LEGO City, obviously because the sets I own and want, or read about the most, are in this theme.
1. For year 2018, the 60198 (Cargo Train) has four more minifigures, a.k.a: "minifigs" with printed torsos depicting the orange safety apparel, just like three in my set 60169 (Cargo Terminal, 2017).
2. For this year, LEGO City revamped its Medical subtheme, with the debut of a "star of life," Ambulance Helicopter (60179) a modernized version of the Red Cross Helicopter (set 626, 1978), and culminating with the City Hospital (60204).
3. Also, an AFOL in Australia blogged earlier this year it is the 3-decade anniversary of LEGO sets consisting of helicopter transport trucks, and the 60183 (Heavy Cargo Transport) is the "tenth representative" of this type of set LEGO has produced.
4. Finally, how or why could I not purchase just one, new-for-year 2018 LEGO set!? The 60202: People Pack - Outdoor Adventures; the third People Pack LEGO released since year 2016. A set I purchased just two days ago from Target.
Once again, by splitting the votes between a main theme and what I would consider a subcategory of it instead of combining those results (with Ninjago and TLNM), we could be seeing Ninjago running in second place as of this posting.
After all, even LEGO.com website includes both under Ninjago when filtering set results by theme.
Without a doubt, my favorite 2018 theme is Wizarding World!
Not sure why the LEGO ninjago movie is ranked so high as only one set came from the theme this year. Not that the docks is a bad set...
Hmmm... definitely tough to choose, as there are obviously great sets from many different themes, but I think I'd have to go with CITY for 2018. As a second, I might choose Elves, a theme I never really cared much about before, but my daughter has been building a lot of the 2018 sets and I have to say, very impressive!
I'm a Star Wars fan obviously (check out my username), but I think the Star Wars theme overall was somewhat lackluster in 2018. The UCS Y-Wing, Kessel Run Falcon, and the new X-Wing were pretty nice, but I haven't been excited about any other sets.
Although there was plenty of goodness in just about every theme this year, I was so blown away with the sets in Speed Champions that I ordered them all within days of them becoming available. It's the only time that's happened, so of course I had to vote for Speed Champions as best theme. "Promotions" as a choice might have changed my mind, though; this year I went out of my way to be sure I got them all, because so many of them were remarkable and complex. Also, like many other commenters, I'm sorry this was the last year for Elves.
I voted Wizarding World although I didn't purchase a set as I am a Star Wars Lego obsessive. However the Star Wars range seems to be getting weaker and has more sets repeating or not up to scratch hence my vote for Harry Potter and also my daughter is a huge fan and I am delighted I don't have to go to the second hand dark side anymore for her fix.
For me this year , it was the jurassic world theme . We got that nice Stigi and Carno figs and finally an alan grant minifig! I hope the rumors of the next wave in 2019 will be true. Well in the meanwhile we can still wait for the TLM2 sets.
I voted Wizarding World, because even if they'd only released Hogwarts it would win for me. But I really love the Friends sets from this year. I haven't bought many because I tend to go for sets with better display value as I'm an adult, but I look at the current Friends sets and really wish they'd been around when I was a girl!
Gotta go with Ideas because it gave the TRON set which I thought was something that would never ever happen.
Ideas sets have been amazing the last two years. I think this year has been one of the best. However, I did have a close second. I think the Marvel Infinity War line was amazing. The use of the stones and the gauntlet to collect all six sets was great marketing and I thoroughly enjoyed all the sets that were part of this line.
Elves. Even though it wasn't the theme's best year, the sets were attractive and interesting and I hate to see the theme go...
Other then Ninjago and Techinc, I kinda hated all the other themes. Especially Harry Potter! God, why did you let them bring it back?!?!
HARRY POTTER
I like Star Wars way better, but I chose Ninjago. The Last Jedi and Solo sets weren't as appealing as Throne Room Showdown or Oni Titan.
Way too many voting star wars I would have thought this was the worst year for star wars Lego in a long time. I was a big fan until this year's sets. Anyway to each their own. I thought ideas had a very strong year. HP I didn't think was that great but it has been a long time since they released HP sets so I can understand the enthusiasm, plus HP has a huge following.
Has to be the Wizarding World, but a shout out to Ideas, Star Wars and Creator Expert.
@ToC13 How about the fact that EVERY SINGLE BOX has a pink border on it?! Or the fact that all the go karts have light blue and pink on them. Are you crazy or something as this is clearly a terrible theme.
Definitely Ideas. Wow, there were some great sets this year.
Creator Expert wins for me. I wouldn't buy all of them, but the roller coaster and WV fire station are brilliantly designed. I wouldn't buy the diner as it is, but purely because it doesn't fit with the rest of my modulars; it's still a great set. Same goes for the DB5, Mike did a great job on both but I prefer minifig scale sets.
