10265 Ford Mustang was announced recently and has inspired an exceptionally positive response from many LEGO fans. This impressive model is now available from shop.LEGO.com or LEGO stores and will be accompanied by a free keychain until the 10th of March!

You can read our review of the Ford Mustang, and watch the the designer video, which has just been published on YouTube, after the break. It's interesting: it goes into detail about the new wheel hub which has enabled steering to be implemented, and also on the how the door was designed to eliminate the gap that's usually present to facilitate it opening.

Lego Store promotions are very lackluster this year up until now. Very disappointing. On the other hand this set is the best Creator Expert car yet and I'm especially happy with the new steering system and the new rims with improved Pivot point placement.
Great designer video. I'm wondering why Mike Psiaki didn't do the video himself.
Did Carl Memmeriam also design it with him? Or just helped a bit along the way?
Anyways, Carl made it a great video regardless! Funny guy.

Is anyone on having sets only saying 'add to wish list' on the Lego shop website because i am, not that i want to/can't buy online but it isn't saying 'add to basket'
I would like to think that maybe i was one of the first in the UK to order mine at just after 2am.
Spent most of the designer video looking at the other mustangs in the background. XD
I went in to the lego store in Stratford earlier and they had it on display on a turntable (nice touch) and i though it looked fantastic in real life. Definitely my favourite of the creator cars.
@mh3490 rumor is it will be out next Friday to coincide with Captain Marvel’s theatrical release

Yeah, I was also rather surprising that Mike Psiaki wasn’t actually in the video (apart from a very short recording of him from a previous video), but IMO, Carl Merriam certainly did an excellent job of explaining the process of designing it, and also a tid bit of backstory behind the new elements.
Ordered! The exclusive keychain really helped seal the deal for my awesome mom. It will be her first LEGO set... well that she hasn't bought for me lol. Of course I will get to build it, and will get visitation rights every weekend. My Master Plan worked out wonderfully ;) Next to conquer the world... into giving me all its' LEGO!
@m--d--b I noticed that the keychain wasn't added until I proceeded to the second stage of check out.
Ps. What the heck is 30406 Unikitty Roller Coaster Wagon? Guess I'll find out soon...
Where do you add the keychain? I ordered mine and figured it would get added automatically...

Got mine this morning at the LEGO store in San Mateo California and got the cool bumper sticker too!
@derekthetree the keychain adds itself once you start going through the checkout procedure. It doesn’t show up immediately after you add the mustang but it appears once you click on the basket/cart and begin the buying process.
No longer keychain promo in Poland. It was gone yesterday at 8 pm. : ( 1-10 march... Well, those estimates are getting more and more ridiculous.
@bezetkace: Indeed, and no more keychains in Sweden neither, it seems. Oh well, then I guess I don't need to order now but can wait for something else (e.g., double VIP points or the like). The new xtra city stickers are also (already/still) out of stock...
No more keychains in The Netherlands. 8 hours past midnight and all keychains were gone......
Bought this a little bit after midnight on Friday morning (March 8th) and, after logging in as a VIP, both the key chain and 5005256 TRU Bricktober MARVEL Super Heroes Minifigure Pack were added to my cart.
