Following on from the images of City Space sets that emerged last week, pictures of four more summer City releases have been published over at Hoth Bricks.

Among them are 60233 Donut shop opening which contains an interesting assortment of buildings and vehicles, and 60234 People Pack which, along with a good selection of minifigures, also contains a number of small and colourful fairground stalls which will be the perfect accompaniment to the Creator Expert Fairground sets.

You'll find pictures in the database and after the break.

Oh my goodness the donut!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The duck, the donut, the bear, the toy shop, the figures, and the TV show?

Apparently these are coinciding a Lego City tv show or somethinlike that, plus one character in each set is named on the boxes.

By in United States,

Fairground People Pack looks amazing! That mullet!

Gravatar
By in Poland,

Soo what happened to the 60229 space city set Rocket Transport?

Gravatar
By in Serbia,

Hmm so tempted to buy the fairground people pack... But if I buy it, I'll need to buy all Creator Expert fairground sets... :P The donut shop opening looks great too!

Gravatar
By in United States,

City is pretty good here for the summer.

Especially in contrast with the stuff we got at the beginning of the year. I like that hat with the propeller on top.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The donut! The hat with the spinning thing on top! Blue ballon animal!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I need the duckies.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Best space sets yet!

Gravatar
By in United States,

The girl with the fire truck set is apparently named McCloud on the box.
I wonder if she has any relation to Mac McCloud from Pharaoh's Quest?

Gravatar
By in United States,

People Pack - Fairground clearly stands out to me from this bunch. I could envision getting multiples and dispersing some through a carnival setting, while others, such as the shooting gallery, ring toss, and hammer could be combined to create bigger carnival kiosks. Stilt man is brilliant, but it is odd that he has made a balloon animal with no additional balloons and seemingly no way to deliver the inflatable critter to the little hands eagerly awaiting below. I guess that is why the little chap has a propellor atop his ball cap.

But that donut in 60233 looks like a vandalized bicycle wheel. The only hole bigger than the one in that donut is the one in my wallet from recent LEGO purchases.

Oh my goodness, the duckies! The donut shop! It’s going to be an expensive second half of the year.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The mug that the lady in the fire truck set is holding catapulted that set to a must-buy for me :O

Gravatar
By in United States,

Omfg the little girl’s hairpiece in the fairground set is spectacular!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Whoa whoa whoa. TWO people packs?! (This and space). Love them both.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Saw the city ones on instagram earlier, love the fairground, ice cream bike and ducks game,
And finally an updated blue ice lolly element and balloon animal colour might get a few of both from bricks n pieces, also regarding the others i love the Doughnut, coffee vendor bike, Toys shop structure and also the news van is very cool,

Bring on the friends and stranger things sets now lego..

By in Denmark,

60232 is a "Juniors/4+" set

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

I need that Donut Shop Opening (the crane is a bonus) and two sets from the Space line: Moon Base and Rover Test Driver to complement my growing civillian space sector.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Interesting that we're getting two People Pack's this year, this Fairground one (which looks great. I just want it for the little yellow duckies), and a Space one.

I think they both look fantastic.

All the good City stuff always tends to skew towards the start of the year, but the people packs have been gorgeous.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Looks great! Personally I really don't like the big donut. It is so thin and there's no substance to it.

Gravatar
By in Spain,

The duckies are beautiful...but the purple teddy bear from People Pack - Fairground is a must!! WONDERFUL!! I need it for my teddy bear collection!! And the ice cream bike is amazing too!! And I do not need to buy Donut shop opening!!

And that black jacket of the woman with the hammer...awesome!!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I suddenly need that Donut Shop, and dig out a spare Iron Man minifig.

Gravatar
By in United States,

So many great little things in the people pack: the face painting, ducks, balloon animal, teddy, mullet hairdo. Definite buy for me.

The rest are pretty uninteresting though I do like the flaming marshmallow on the cup in the firetruck set.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The "painted" tiger face on the child in the people pack if great too! Have to add multiples to my Fairground layout.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Fairground people pack has a nice Jang cameo!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Love the people pack. Between this and the Space people pack these will be my first people sets.

The donut shop looks really good as all these sets do.

Gravatar
By in United States,

There’s the 4+ Garage I saw Lego accidentally advertise on their website. So love the donut shop and the adorable mug in the fire truck set is a must have.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The 60231 is an excellent looking brush truck. Should be a cheap set too. It will need some modification. I'll ditch the ladder rack. I'll build a tank trailer for it, modify the portable pump a bit, then add a shovel, pick, and probably a couple suitcases for EMS equipment. Removing the bullhorn and radio (I mean seriously, with printed radios on torsos, why do we need the walkie-talkie element any more?) Too bad we don't have a Stokes basket part yet, so probably an orange 2x6 in its place. Else, I might replicate it, but make a contractor truck out of it .It looks just like any generic pickup truck with a service body.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Yup. Threeve more sets (all except for the 4+ set, but good for the kiddos!) to add to the wish list.

In related news, my credit card: "Send help!!"

Gravatar
By in United States,

Looks like there's a little "action lever" on the donut shop roof for when the thief needs something to distract the police! ;D

Gravatar
By in United States,

Too many stickers for me in the Donut Shop Opening, although it looks like the donut itself is printed.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The same site has all the Friends sets besides the Restaurant! Amazing amusement park and more!

Gravatar
By in United States,

LEGO finally made an official Jangbricks—with updated hair! in the people pack.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Is that Hello Kitty on fire on that mug in the first picture?

Gravatar
By in United States,

shut up and take my money!!

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

A mullet hairpiece. After decades of worldwide outrage and condemnation, our demands have finally have been answered.

Gravatar
By in United States,

As mentioned, the fairground people pack has lots for great new things. Is the peddle cart new? Only slight disappointment is no new large animal figs.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Nobody likes the new bike frame? I'm actually somewhat ambivalent to it, since I figured out how to do a rear-mounted food cart on the original bike frame about five years ago.

Gravatar
By in United States,

is that a propeller in that hat? i’m going to have to bricklink a lot of this stuff

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

Ha ha, I spent ages trying to figure out what Leather Jacket Woman has printed on her feet in the carnival pack, just realised it's some kind of grass that a lot of the figures are standing in.

Also I feel like the red and white stiped torso is a callback to the classic striped torsos of the 80s

Gravatar
By in Canada,

@EvilTwin: I think it’s a flaming marshmallow! Very cute!

@PurpleDave: that new bike frame is nice indeed! The added connection points below the seat may introduce some fun new possibilities, and using a separate handlebar means you can choose between this one and the one with the swept-back handlebars introduced in LEGO Friends!

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

Interesting. Judging by their hair, it looks like the family playing the duck game in the Fairground set is meant to be black. They seem to be fixing a problem they've had since they started giving minifigures more detail.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Fairground pack is great.
Donut shop looks ok too. Fair bit going on in it though. The toy shop seems to be where can buy the spinning hats ;)

The news crew might have been good as a small set on its own (as a throwback to 80s one)

Gravatar
By in United States,

There are so many great models in the donut shop set, I just wish they were sold separately... :(

Gravatar
By in United States,

Just curious . . . why didn't the new City Space sets get their own release/reveal article? I've been waiting for those forever . . . and they seem like they would garner quite a bit of interest from other space oriented fans on Brickset? Or maybe I just missed it?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

These are much better than the City sets already released this year. I see them heavily discounted so I know it's not just me. I'm not a fan of those interactive parts on the police and fire sets.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Business in the front... party in the back! I really like the fairground people pack.

The Donut Shop Opening is nice if a bit convoluted. The crane would be a nice stand alone set. I'd rather have an actual news studio to compliment the news crew instead of the crane and pointless thief and police sub-plot. Looks like there may be a function to knock the donut off the top of the building.

By in Serbia,

Oh goodness, the flaming marshmallow mug is amazing! This is probably the first Fire City set I'll ever buy.

@SinKiller Nick I agree, it's a shame that the Space sets weren't given their own article because I would not even have learned about them if not for the link in this one.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I am betting I could just go to Tim Horton's and buy a real doughnut for less money than LEGO wants for a fake plastic one.

Gravatar
By in United States,

A news van and a taxi in one set?!?!?!?! I am so excited!!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

The People Pack has an incognito Misako from the Ninjago show! Proper hair and face combo at least...

Gravatar
By in Spain,

Why the 60232 doesn't have the Octan logo?

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Ducks! Balloon animals! Excellent torso prints! and a DOnUT!!! Yes, I am le excite.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm in love with the Fairground people pack! It looks like the leather jacket and striped shirt torso is making a second appearance after Nya sported it in the the Ninjago Movie City Chase set. There are some great hair recolors here too!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I love the little ducks from the hook-a-duck in the people pack

Gravatar
By in United States,

Pretty much all of my sentiments about these sets have already been expressed by others. The only thing I have to add is that the logo on the side of the TV News truck in 60233 Donut shop opening reads, "TV6+". Is that a whimsical nod to the fact that City sets are ages 6+ (with the exception of the newly branded Juniors sets)?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Well, Huh.
Kudos on the Donut shop opening. Finally a summer city set that is just different. There is a ton to like with that set.
Fairground pack. That is a must buy for me.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

@Ladondorf: I agree, it's really great to see! I have mixed feelings about the whole "yellow is raceless" concept that LEGO tries to maintain in their non-licensed themes, particularly since I have read and heard a lot of comments from black or otherwise darker-skinned people who simply can't see themselves in the classic Bright Yellow minifigures as easily as a white person like me can. But in the very least this helps give credence to that idea compared to how in the past, almost all yellow-skinned minifigures have had straight or wavy hair and hardly any have had Afro-textured hair.

@Librarian1976: I think you're right! TV6+ also appeared on the news chopper in 60097-1 and on the satellite tower in 60111-1.

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

@Aanchir I think LEGO was better able to preserve the concept that their mini figures were raceless back when pieces such as the classic male hair, which lacked any discernible texture, were more regularly used. It definitely started to falter around the 2000's with the advent of more detailed hair pieces, most of which were overtly straight/wavy.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Love the people pack, cute little rubber duckies, face painting, cool ice cream bike, new colour teddy. Can't wait

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Oh my god a Lego mullet.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Super excited about the Donut Shop Opening set! The TV News truck and crew is great! Glad to see a Taxi in a City set!
The People pack looks good too; I like all the accessories and activities!
Very disappointed with the Garage set though; it looks very Junior-ized.
